Noah's pov

When I woke up it was about 5:30 am in the morning and I figured I should just get up. It would be easier to first of all, take my medication without Dallas seeing and make us some breakfast.

I remember Dallas telling me that his parents were off on a business trip so I know that I won't bump into them and be super awkward.

Carefully untangling myself from Dallas, I quietly made my way into the kitchen and got myself a glass of water. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out the bottle and took a pill, downing it with my glass of water.

Now that, that was taken care of, it's breakfast time. I walked over his marble floor and opened the fridge, seeing what we were able to eat this morning.

Instantly, I spotted a package of bacon and eggs. I pulled those out and looked around for a muffin tin. After succeeding and finding one, I weaved some bacon, placing it into the tin and cracking in an egg.

Once that was in the oven, I pulled out a pan and grabbed the bread from the counter with the butter and sliced cheese from the fridge.

I began putting everything together and letting it do its business in the stove. From the corner of my eyes I spotted a basket of fruits and grabbed an orange, banana and apple. With each fruit, I peeked and chopped them up, placing them into a bowl for a small fruit salad.

A good half an hour passed by and everything was ready.

Just before I was about make my way upstairs to get Dallas, the stairs creaked and seconds later a sexy Greek God appeared.

"You made breakfast." He mumbled. "It smells good." Dallas gave me a crooked smile and walked his way over to me, kissing my cheek.

I blushed slightly and nodded. "Yea, I figured it was the least I could do for letting me spend the night."

"Guess I'll have to let you sleepover more often." He chuckled and yawned, making his way to the table.

I laughed and followed him, mimicking his actions and enjoying our breakfast. When we finished, he hummed in approval and faced me. "Would you like to shower first?"

"If that's alright with you." I nibbled on my lip.

He rolled his eyes. "Of course it's alright, that's why I asked you."

"Right, of course." I mumbled, clearly embarrassed. "I'll just wash the dishes first."

Dallas flicked me on the forehead. "I've got them, go."

I nodded and hurried out of the kitchen before I made the situation anymore awkward.

*

We left his place a little late this morning but managed to make it to school on time.

Only about thirty seconds I'm into the building and the power goes out. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

I stopped walking and took a deep breath. Okay, you're going to be fine. No one will notice that you lost your sight for God knows how long.

"Hey, you okay?" Dallas' raspy yet deep voice played a tune in my ears as I looked down at the floor.

I nodded. "I'm totally fine." I swallowed. "Why don't you just go on ahead of me? I'll catch up with you soon."

Knowing Dallas, he was probably giving me one of his confused glares. It felt like minutes passed by as we just stood in the minute in the hallway, none of us speaking. I knew he was still there because the smell of his cologne.

I wonder if people are staring..

I let out a sharp gasp as I felt myself bring tugged somewhere. There was no doubt in my mind that I looked stupid. My feet were stumbling and my eyes were moving all over the place.

Hearing a door open, I was quickly shoved in and pushed against the wall. After hearing the door close, a male voice spoke up.

"You're telling me what's going on right now." Dallas spoke sternly, clearly pissed.

I scoffed. "I don't have to tell you anything." I shook my head. "I've only known you for a couple of days and you're acting like your my boyfriend." I hissed.

"Really?" He snapped. I know what I said had to sting but I'm trying to get out of this! "We may not be fucking official but you're not acting normal."

You're not acting normal.

I felt my eyes water but I refused to let them fall. I know I'm not normal, not anymore once I lose my sight.

I jumped out, letting out a loud gasp when I heard something hit the wall beside my head. "I'm not letting you out of here unless you tell me, Noah."

I couldn't help but let out a pathetic whimper. "I can't.." I whispered. "I can't."

After minutes of silence, which felt like hours. I felt his presence move away, footsteps and a door slam.

I finally let out a sob and slid down to the floor, hugging my legs. Why can't I just be normal? Why can't I just be able to see all the time? Why isn't my vision returning yet?!

I clawed at my closed eyes, not enough to start ripping the skin but enough to feel pain. To try and make it come back.

These pills aren't doing shit! I wanted to take them out of my pocket and throw it across the room but I knew better.

When I opened my eyes, I was able too again and my heart jumped in excitement. I couldn't be any happier but I now realized that my sight really is limited.

"Then he stole the ball and fucking scored! Scored!" Nate grumbled. "My eight year old brother is going to be legend-wait for it-" he paused, smirked at me.

As always, I gave the same response. "You're not Barney."

"DARY!" He shouted, causing people to look at us with smirks and some laughing. They were used to Nate acting foolish.

I shook my head and gave him a lazy smile. He huffed and frowned, staring at me intensely. "You seem off today."

"Pft, I'm totally fine." I quickly bit into a fry, avoiding his eyes and looking around the room. As they did, my eyes met with Dallas'. He gave me one of his signature glares and looked away.

I couldn't help but feel but heart twist up a little while my hunger suddenly vanished.

"Mhm." Nate hummed. "I'm not going to force you to tell me but just know that I'm here for, bud."

Letting my eyes meet with his, I gave Nate a small smile which he returned without a problem.

Once the bell rang, signalling that lunch was over. The both of us threw our leftover food in the trash and made our towards our lockers. "Ew, we have Math now." Nate whined, putting in his lock combo.

"Math isn't that bad." I muttered, feeling a headache coming on.

He scoffed. "That's because you get nineties, dickwad." I smirked and shrugged.

"Ya well, I'm sorry that you got dropped as a baby." I laughed.

He turned to me as we walked towards the stairs. "I actually got dropped! My older brother, well you know Max, was running around and bumped into my mother which caused her to drop me!" He pouted.

I laughed once more then hissed as my head started pounding and I started feeling light headed. Nate looked at me in concern but I only nodded, beginning to get spots in my vision.

I'm halfway down the stairs, I could this.

But of course I never had luck on my side as everything went black. My legs gave out and my head was beyond a migraine, it felt like it was being hit by bowling balls.

I know that I hit my head on the railing when I felt unbearable pain. Around me I could hear gasps and people crying out for a teacher.

Had I tumbled down the stairs? Did I black out? Why was the floor so soft? I opened my eyes but was only met with darkness.

"-re -you-kay?" Whoever was trying to talk to me, I could barely hear them. It was as if they were miles away. "-an-ou-ear-me?" There were still other voices surrounding me, letting me know I was still around the other students.

But giving up on trying to focus on the voice and stay in touch with reality, I gave up and allowed my eyes to close.
