-Natalie's POV-

I wake up with a groan, stretching my arms as my whole body feels exhausted. I have Diana to blame for that.

I look beside as I realise she isn't beside me, I glance to my alarm clock, it's six thirty nine am. She is not a morning person so where has she gone off to?

I notice the mug with a piece of paper beside it, i lean up on my elbows, covering myself more with the duvet as it's freezing.

I switch on my lamp to brighten the room as I pick up the paper.

I'm showering, I made you coffee.
Enjoy, pretty.

I roll my eyes sitting up with a smile as I pick up the mug with the black coffee inside, I lift it to my lips taking a sip of it as I look at the little hearts she drew around the paper. I open my drawer putting it in there so it doesn't get lost.

I stretch my legs as I notice my robe already on the bed, she knows me too well it's becoming concerning.

I slip on my robe, hugging the fabric to my now cold body. I slowly rise from the bed as much as I would like not to.

I walk over to the bathroom tightening my robe, I twist the door handle peaking my head inside as Diana stands wrapped in a towel as well as her hair wrapped in one too.

"Good morning." She looks to me, mumbling before going back to brushing her teeth.

I walk up behind her, wrapping my arms around her body as I kiss the side of her face.

"It would be a great morning if you were still in bed, you knew I wanted to make you coffee for your first day." I mumble, kissing her again and again and she smiles squirming in my arms a little.

She puts her toothbrush back where it usually goes before she wipes her mouth. She looks at me through the mirror.

"Let me be the good wife for one day." She smiles glancing back to me and I search her eyes.

"Wife?"

"Mmhm, Diana Snow. It's nice, isn't it?" She moves my hair back and I smile kissing her wrist.

"It has a very nice ring to it." I run the back of my fingers along her cheek as she leans up kissing me.

"You have to shower before work, stop getting distracted. You have me all to yourself later." she pulls back from my arms and I want to reach for her but I put my hands on the counter instead as she makes her way towards the door.

"Leaving me to shower all alone? Tragic." I walk backwards undoing my robe and she stops at the door, her eyes dropping.

"That is cruel—especially with what you were up to in your last shower. But...I just got myself clean and I have to cover the hickeys you left on me. I'll have your breakfast made when you're out like the good wife that I am." She says, taking one more glance at me before stepping out of the bathroom.

I set my pen down on my desk taking a deep breath so I don't throw these papers across the room.

My class got two weeks. Two weeks to revise for an exam about three chapters of a book yet almost nobody used quotes from the book in their answers. I have told them numerous times to add one in with their answers or they may as well leave the question blank.

The questions aren't even answered correctly, I have seen two students now put one word answers or 'idk'...not even 'I don't know'.

I'm going to get grey hairs because of them, I'm beginning to think I am the problem but this was never the case at my last school. None of my students got results like this, I'm going to have to make them resit this. I will do it over and over again until I'm satisfied with them all.

I glance up to Sophia...seeing her looking beneath the desk.

It's detention—she's in detention and she is doing the exact same thing she's here for.

"Sophia for Christ sake." I stand up, dropping the paper down before walking around my desk.

"It's important." She speaks holding her phone as she looks at me.

"Oh, what? Is it a boyfriend or something? Are the girls making plans without you?" I question, raising my voice slightly.

She shakes her head tucking her phone away but I shake my head holding out my hand.

"Give me the phone or so help me, Sophia, I will give you a months detention. You were already punished with a weeks detention that Mr Bishop agreed on because you have broken the rules, he will be furious to find out you used it during detention too." I say and her shoulders drop slightly.

"I'm doing my work, Miss! I was just checking something." She says.

"Where's your English homework?"

"I...I done it already." She responds and I put my hand on my hip, raising my eyebrows.

"Get it out, if it's not done correctly, I will give you double the questions because from the look of your exam...You did not bother even picking up the book, you are a smart student, Sophia. I know that. You have listened well since I started here and I've heard nothing but positive things about you, this sudden change is something I'm not a fan of." I tell her, putting my hand on the desk waiting for her to get out her homework.

"Okay—I don't have it done—"

"What have you been doing the last thirty minutes?" I raise my voice and she looks away from me.

"I had to check my phone, it was really important." She tells me, I shake my head, she pulls her phone out of her pocket again and something drops to the floor.

I bend down to pick whatever it is up, she quickly bends down picking it up before me. Please lord help me, that better not be what I think it is.

"Sophia." I say straightening up.

"Miss—"

"That better not be what I think it is—"

"It's none of your business what I do outside of school, stay out of it." She raises her voice. I look at her and she looks back at me annoyed.

I take a breath.

"I'm required to tell Mr Bishop what I saw." I say and she drops her shoulders as her eyes soften turning to fear almost.

"You don't even know what you saw." She mumbles looking away from me. She has a vape on her. It's not that difficult to work out what it was. She's fifteen. How did she even get that?

"Give it to me, I mean it. I will tell him and your parents will be called." I hold out my hand, she glares at me before handing it to me.

"This is ridiculous. You are fifteen years old, it is illegal for you to have this, you shouldn't want to have it. It is so damaging towards your health, do you understand that?" I speak putting it down on the desk. She looks down at the floor.

"I saw you smoking outside of school before at lunch." She mumbles and I hum.

"What I do is different, I'm old enough and while I shouldn't I still do, I don't encourage it, not one bit and I have quit because of the risks." I tell her and she shakes her head.

"You have it, now leave me alone." She mumbles.

"Your phone, your parents can come to me and get you when you're picked up."

"They can't." She says and I sigh.

"Sophia—"

"My Dad is in hospital, I need my phone to message him." She speaks quietly, moving her hair from behind her ear, letting it fall to cover her face.

I freeze for a second before tapping the desk.

"Take out of your book, do your homework—"

"I can't." She tells me, I sigh rubbing my forehead.

"Why?"

"I am taking care of my sister while my Dad is in hospital, she's only six, she got mad while I was trying to get her in the bath. She threw the book you gave me into the tub. I don't have the book, I haven't been able to study. I have tried but incase you haven't notice, nobody wants to be my friend." She says and I let out a breath.

"Where's your sister now?"

"With my neighbour, she's an old woman, she can barely walk but she gives me money for going to the store for her...I get the cheapest I can and with the rest I get stuff for me and Ella." She tells me and I chew my lip, guilt creeping up on me.

"Is your Dad going to be alright?"

"Yeah, he's going to be okay, he should be home this weekend." She moves her hair back.

"Look, I apologise. Sometimes I can be a bit of a bitch, I shouldn't but you should also discuss this with me before I give out." I tell her and she shrugs.

"I'm sorry for being rude in class." She says and I hum.

"Stop getting these, I don't know how you are but seriously stop, Sophia. You should not be spending the money you get on these." I hold up the vape and she nods her head slightly.

"I'll try."

I walk back to my desk taking out my purse.

"Miss, no." She says as I start walking back to her desk.

"I'm giving you enough for proper meals for you and your sister. If there is anything else going on, whether it's with your Dad or anybody else, you can trust and talk to me." I place the money down and she looks at it.

"My Dad is amazing, really. He's just struggling at the moment, he really is trying. Money is just a problem, I know it but Ella doesn't. My Dad is great at hiding it." She shrugs.

I check my watch before humming.

"There's five minutes left, you can pack up your things." I tell her and she nods.

"Thank you, Miss Snow. I don't think you're as bad as everyone thinks you are." She stands and I glance back at her smiling.

"Thanks, Sophia...How are you getting home?" I glance to the window, it's raining outside, not too heavy but it's still falling.

"Walking, I don't live too far and the walk is good for me." She packs up her things, I chew the inside of my lip as I put my laptop away.

"I'll give you a ride home."

I shut the door pushing the hood of my jacket down as I let out a sigh, I brought Sophia to a drive through to get some food for her and her sister. She thanked me many times but it was nothing to me, it just seemed like such a big thing to her.

"Baby?" I hear Diana and put down my bag with a smile.

"Just a second." I speak up, taking off my jacket and hanging it on the coat rack, Maggy walks out of the living room.

I pick up my bag walking to the kitchen, Maggy following.

"I'm fucking exhausted." I wipe a hand over my face stepping inside the kitchen, Diana stirs something in a bowl.

"What took you so long?" She looks to me and and I walk over behind her, looking over her shoulder into the bowl.

"I dropped one of my students home after detention, it was raining and she had to walk, I got her some food too." I kiss the side of Diana's head and she turns, kissing my jaw.

"Did you make sure that's okay with the principal? I don't want you getting in trouble."

"It's alright, her Dad's in hospital and it's really only her looking after her little sister. Her neighbour does while she's in school but still...I brought her to get some food for her and her sister, I gave her enough money to keep them going until the weekend and I'll try check in tomorrow." I speak.

"You're so sweet."

"No I'm not, I'm a decent person. She's fifteen and her Dads struggles are worrying her." I say and Diana looks up at me.

"What's happening with her Dad?"

"Struggling with money, she told me he's a good father and I believe it, she didn't seem like she was lying but I don't know." I sigh and Diana mixes whatever she's making again.

"Natalie, really all you can do in this situation is try to get her trust, talk to her and look for anything indicating that she may be getting abused." Diana speaks and I hum.

"I will."

"Good, don't go telling the school either, it won't be what she wants, if she does say something, think about it then." Diana says. I rub her shoulders before looking into the bowl.

"Alright...What are you making?" I question.

"Cupcakes, my arms are getting sore, stir." She hands me the whisk and I smile, taking it.

"Why are you becoming so demanding?" I ask and she leans back against me as I begin stirring the mixture in the bowl.

"I'm learning from the best, who I think likes being a bottom once in a while." She smiles I push myself closer to the counter causing her to bump into it earning a laugh from her.

"I'm not a bottom."

"Do you not remember last night?"

"Do you not?"

"I do, very very well. But who ended up flat out on the bed with her face buried in the sheets?" Diana smiles up at me, I look at her squinting slightly.

"Do I need to bring you upstairs?" I question dropping the whisk and she begins giggling to herself as she says no.

"That's what I thought, focus on your terrible looking cupcakes." I step away, slapping her ass making her jump slightly with a gasp as her hand goes to the back of her dress.

"That hurt!" She gives out and I smile going over to the fridge.

"I'll kiss it better or would you like to punish me for it since you've become such a top?" I question and her face goes pink.

"Asshole."

"Bottom." I take out a bottle of water and she looks away shaking her head.

"The only bottom is my own stinging because of you, idiot." She huffs and I smile, I walk kissing the back of her head.

"I'm taking you out Friday, for a date. I want to talk about the wedding." I say, moving my hand around her neck, she quickly looks back at me.

"Wedding?"

"And the future, a lot has changed since we've had our first date where we got to know each other. So, almost like a second first date." I smile and she searches my eyes.

"We haven't had a date in so long."

"I know, our lives have been a little hectic because of a certain fool living with us." I say and she laughs.

"I'm going for a shower, I'll make us dinner afterwards." I kiss her and she smiles before I begin.

"What happened to kissing me better?" She asks and I glance back at her with a shrug.

"That's what we call dessert, beautiful." I wink before stepping out of the kitchen hearing her begin laughing.

A/n

Another update...I'm becoming very active with them just because in January I'm going to be studying a lot. While I love writing instead of studying, I will be channeling my inner nerd and studying to get my grades up!! My teachers are seriously mad at me and it's the same thing over and over. "You have amazing potential but you're just not trying" Diana who?

Little rant to make you guys forgive me if I do disappear in January for awhile, I'll try my best to update, I promise!! 🫶🫶

I've also seen the comments about Victoria and Lili being another story opportunity. I actually wrote about them just after finishing Miss Levine, it didn't work out very well but I do have a face claim for Victoria since she will be mentioned a few times, Adria Arjona. (You will all understand why Diana kept calling her beautiful.)...some of you were worse than Natalie when she kept saying it.😭😭

Anyway, I'll update again soon! I would love to hear about your Christmas and what you got or if you don't celebrate Christmas, tell me about your weekend if you feel like!!! 🫶🫶
