The first thing I noticed when we got out was the sun. I haven't been outside for about six months. The feeling of it hitting my skin almost brought me to tears, and I had to bite my lip in order to keep from crying out.
The next thing I noticed was how nice it was to finally stand upright. Mr. Egg only let us out of our cages to shower, or when he punished us.
The vampire let me adjust and just stood there and watched me take everything in. I began to panic when we didn't move and he just continued to stare at me. I could feel my heartbeat pick up and no doubt could he feel it too. My breath got caught as the vampire bent down and lessened the leash around my neck.
"Better?", he asked and I just nodded. I didn't have any shoes so when we started walking I tried to avoid the pebbles and gum on the ground. We continued walking and I was so busy side stepping all the pebbles so I didn't notice when he stopped. I walked right into him and scrambled back.
"I'm so sorry master!", I blurted out, but then remembered to not talk unless spoken to. I looked down and hoped he wouldn't punish me.
"No problem", he said and opened the door of the car we just stopped infront of. He gestured for me to climb in and I did.
Seemed like he didn't care.
He closed the door and jumped in from the other side. The car was kind of a limo, and the driver in front of us exchanged some words with the vampire. "Yeah, we will have to wait for Erwan, I told him to hurry but you know what he's like.", the vampire said. He had a husky-like voice that made me shudder.
The vampire continued to chatt with the driver until the door at my side opened. "Hello Atlas! Long time no see!" he greeted the vampire.
Atlas.
Atlas hugged Erwan in response and looked at me. "So you got a new pet huh?" he asked Atlas. "Yeah, I figured since you have to have one at the academy I could just buy one now.", he said. "Yeah smart, I already have Maya so I don't need a new one.", Erwan said.
"What's her blood type?", Erwan asked. "AB negative", Atlas answered. "Wow not bad, I thought you only liked B positive?". "Yeah but I haven't had a pet with AB negative yet so I figured I could give it a shot".
"How old is she? Fifteen?", Erwan asked. "Nah she's eighteen". "I couldn't have guessed that based on how small and fragile she looks", Erwan chuckled. "Yeah, but with the right food she'll catch her weight in no time."
The rest of the drive were the same. Atlas and Erwan talked and didn't pay me much more attention. I still couldn't shake the fear of off doing something wrong and getting punished. After all, Atlas was a pureblooded vampire.

The car came to a halt infront of a huge castle-looking building. Atlas jumped out and I followed him. He took my leash in his hand and waited for Erwan to catch up.
I could see various of vampire groups gathered outside the castle all looking at the big door in the center. There, a tall vampire stood and waited for everyone to be silent, clearly about to give a speech.
"Welcome everyone to Blackwood Vampire Academy!", he announced and everyone cheered in response. "I'm the headmaster of this school and you can call me Vincent". "Now now, enough about me I'm sure you all are excited to see your new dorms!". Everyone clapped and started to walk towards the castle doors.
"Come Marlow", Atlas said. I really liked how my name sounded on his tongue. He tugged a little and I followed him. All around us were vampires and their pets. I saw that Erwan had catched up with his pet, Maya. Maya was the pure opposite of me. She was taller, had brown doe eyes and brown hair. She wasn't underweight either, looks like she almost was cared for. Huh, strange.
I continued to follow Atlas and we went up for some stairs and into a long corridor. When we almost were at the end we stopped at door and Atlas took out a key card. He held it against the door it clicked unlocked.
When he opened the door I was met with an incredible sight. The room was huge with a crystal chandelier in the middle. There was book shelves in one corner and a kings sised bed along the wall. It was a big rectangular window on the opposite wall with an incredible view over the castle grounds.
There was also a door to another room, maybe the bathroom or a storage room. In another part of the room were a desk and chair. Almost like an office inside a bedroom. And in the far corner beside Atlas' bed were a cage, and next to it on the wall a whip and other equipments.
The excitement I felt before was washed away, and taken over by a dreadful feeling. "Here is our dorm", Atlas said and lead me further into it.
Our...?
I nodded and then Atlas crouched down and he came so close that I could smell him. It was an pleasurable scent. Pine forest and... oranges?My breath hitched in my throat as he gently touched with his finger around my neck. "There", he said and took the leash of completely. "No need to have it in here".
I just stood still and looked at the floor, surprised by his kindness.
"You can shower if you want", he said and pointed towards the other door in the room. "There are clothes you can loan from me in that closet". He then sat down at his desk and started to sign some papers and documents.
I made my way towards the closet and found a black sweatshirt and some gray sweatpants. I didn't find any underwear so I ended up taking one of his underpants. I hope he wouldn't mind because no way in hell would I wear nothing under my pants.
I took the clothes and went into the bathroom. It was a huge shower with different shampoos and soaps to choose from. I trembled as I saw my reflection in the round mirror over the sink. I looked horrible. My cheekbones were too sharp and my hair was matted. The bruise from Mr. Egg was still visible and now had a greenish color.
I pulled of my pants and only stood in my shirt. I knew it would take some time to get the shirt off.

I was panting when I finally got the shirt off of me. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and looked in the mirror again, now my back displayed. It was horrible. I could see old scars from the first time I came into the pet shop. Even the little scar from a knife was still there.
The newest lashings weren't healed, and I could see some of my skin flaking off. I hissed as I took a towel and cleaned the wound a bit, then I just decided to get over with it and I went into the shower. I turned on hot water and gasped as it hit my back. Eventually the pain numbed a bit and I could clean myself up.
I looked at various bottles and decided on lavender. I put the shampoo in my hair and massaged my scalp.
Ahh that feels good.
I rinsed my hair and continued to work down my body with soap. It was so nice to finally feel clean, I thought as I dried myself with a towel. Atlas said he would go out for a bit and meet up with some old friends, so I had the dorm for myself. I put on my underwear and pants, but realized that I didn't have a clean bra with me.
I wrapped a towel around my body and one around my hair. I carefully opened the door and went to the closet again to look more throughout for a bra.
"Hey I forgot my ke-".
It was Atlas. And he looked horrified, as he took my body in. My back in. The scars were on display for him to see. And there and then I wanted to die.

Ahhh what a cliffhanger guys!
But so kind of Atlas to let her use his shower. And the way he called his dorm our dorm.
As you can see this was a long chapter. In the future I plan on making them shorter so you guys don't get bored out.
