We made it to the train with two minutes to spare. Freddie collapsed in the seat next to mine and took a minute to catch his breath. I laughed at his reaction and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "This would not have been a problem if you had told me earlier," he breathed out. "Yes, but it's so much fun to see you panicking." He glared at me and I laughed again before patting his cheek 'comforting.' He took my hand away from his face and intertwined our fingers before resting our joined hands on the arm rest. Then the train started to move.
We watched the snowy landscape pass by our window for an hour before we fell asleep. Freddie's head was back against his seat and my head had fallen to lay on his shoulder. We had a nice little nap and I woke up first, so I took pictures of his sleeping face. When he woke up, we both got up to walk around and find the bathroom. In the bathroom, I pulled out my phone and opened Twitter, attaching one of the photos I took of Freddie with the caption "Sleepy boy is gonna see his mommy today @badlinu." I exited the bathroom to see Freddie standing there, still not entirely awake from his nap. I laughed and ruffled his hair as he passed and he tried to bat my hand away.
I made my way back to my seat and was joined a moment later by my boyfriend. He pulled his phone out as it kept dinging and a moment later he turned to glare at me. "What?" I asked, feigning innocence. He turned his phone towards me and I burst out laughing when I saw my tweet was open. "Seriously, y/n?" I nodded my head happily and he just sighed. I took his phone from him and began to scroll through the replies, giggling at a few of them. After a few minutes of me doing this, Freddie snatched his phone back and shoved it back in his pocket. "Hey, I love you," I said. "I love you, too," he grudgingly replied.
The rest of the ride passed shortly and soon we were walking away from the station with our luggage in hand. As we got closer to Freddie's parents's house, I became slightly nervous, and I told Freddie. "Don't be nervous, you've met them before and they love you.""Yes, but this is me staying in their house for several days during a major holiday." Freddie stopped walking to press a kiss to my forehead and give me a reassuring hug. "I promise you, everything will be great." I gave him a smile and we continued on towards the house. Freddie's excitement was mounting as we got closer until he looked ready to burst. When we got to the door, he rapped on it and we waited. His mum opened the door and cried out when she saw us. "Oh, Freddie, I'm so glad you're here," she said as she gave me him a hug, making him bend down slightly. She then turned to me and gave me a big hug before ushering us inside.
We were greeted by all the other family members that were there and then led up to Freddie's old room to refresh ourselves. I opened the door and saw that it had been mainly untouched. Freddie came in behind me carrying both of our suitcases and set them down at the foot of the bed. He looked around the room and smiled, a nostalgic look on his face. "Well, y/n, you are currently in a historic room. This is where badlinu started out." I laughed as I took in the old bed and desk set up with his posters plastered on the walls. He walked towards me and took my hands in his as he said, "Thank you, love, so much for this. This is a wonderful gift." I kissed him before replying, "You're very welcome. I'm glad you like it. We pulled away after a second to take our coats off and I straightened out my hair before running my fingers through Freddie's hair to comb it down a bit. "Now, are you ready to go see everyone?" Freddie nodded excitedly at my question and then practically dragged me out of the room and down the stairs.
Merry Christmas! I hope all of you have a great Christmas with whoever you're spending it with. I'm saying this now because I don't think I'll have time to do anything between now and after Christmas. If you guys have any suggestions for a plot and/or character, feel free to comment them and I'll get to them after Christmas.
