Theodore's Pov:
December 19:
I felt so bad for Aliyah after Lucian bailed on her for the ball.
And I of course as her friend, comforted her. She didn't deserve it. She might seem tough sometimes but it really means a lot to her
I woke up a bit late this morning to the sound of Lorenzo and Blaise yelling and fixing stuff up.
"Get up! Breakfast is only for another half hour" Lorenzo yelled, opening my bed curtains and shaking me awake.
I groaned "come on, there's still like maybe an hour and a half until the train leaves" i rubbed my eyes, pulling my covers over my body which Blaise soon yanked off.
"Up, now. Your trunk's barely packed" he sighed with rolled eyes, going over to help Draco with packing his stuff.
I lazily got up and started placing several items of clothing into my trunk.
I packed clothes, shoes, cigarettes of course, can't forget bathroom essentials and the presents that I got from my birthday knowing my mother will be forcing me to show her what I got.
I then got dressed in a warm jumper and sweatpants since it was cold, and went to breakfast. I sat down and ate slowly, taking my time; whereas Lorenzo and Aliyah ate as quick as they could, sprinting back to the dorms after they finished.
"Merlin, are we all going on the same train or are they going earlier?" I joked
Mattheo snorted "no, they're just like that — especially Al. She likes having everything on time and stuff, she's a perfectionist" he sighed jokingly
"It's fine, better than always being late" i took another sip of my juice "anyways, i'm going back to the dorm. Haven't fully packed my trunk yet" I got up and walked back to my dorm
Once I arrived, I saw that my trunk was packed for me. "Enzo, did you pack for me?" I asked, closing it up and setting it on my bed
"Oh, no, Aliyah did" he said just as she walked out of our room bathroom holding a pile of folded clothes
"Okay, I've got all Mattheo's new laundry" she said as she placed them in Mattheo's trunk "Oh and Theo, I made sure to pack all you need" she smiled
"Oh- thanks a lot" i chuckled.
"Of course, now bring your luggage up, the train's leaving early" she explained as she carried the trunks of both her and her brother, running up the stairs to get to the train.
"THEO, CALL MATT NOW!" She yelled

I boarded the train and walked into the unusually large compartment where Aliyah and Lorenzo put everyone's baggages on the shelf things.
They then sat down like the rest of us and we watched as the train started to move.
"Soo, anyone excited for the Christmas party?" Draco began to cut up the silence
"Oh- about that, did you ask Cissa if it's at your manor or ours?" Aliyah asked, searching her bag for her phone. "Yours"
"Anyways, what're you guys wearing for it?" Pansy looked up from her phone
"Suit" i said plainly and so did the other guys.

It was five minutes before we would arrive back to Kings Cross Station and Lorenzo and Aliyah being the moms of the friend group they are, made sure everyone had everything and made sure we didn't leave anything behind.
"Mattheo, you're forgetting your phone on the seat. Grab it, now" she ordered as calmly as she could as she held their trunks, stepping out of the train.
I looked around and spotted my parents to whom I walked to, my mom pulling me in for a hug
"Teddy! tesoro mio, com'è andato il viaggio in treno?" She asked with a smile as I pulled away
"è stato bello mamma, mi manchi" I smiled back as she gave me a peck on the cheek
"Hi, Teddy. Come è andata la scuola finora?" My father greeted
"It's good, it's all good." I nodded. My mother looked around "Where's Mattheo and Aliyah? I don't see their father anywhere" she said slightly worried "like every year" she muttered under her breath
"Mamma, they're fine. They're going with Lorenzo and his parents" i chuckled. "Well then, off to the house" my father said as he apparated us to our manor.
I quickly went upstairs to my room and tossed my trunk on the floor, directly jumping to my bed in which I took a nap for the next hour or so.

Aliyah's Pov:
Mattheo and I went with Lorenzo to his parents who greeted us all. The Berkshire family was basically our second family. We thought of each other like that because that's what it was. Ever since we were little, we'd always play together, have sleepovers, etc.
"Hello my loves, how was the ride here?" Esmerelda gave us all a hug as soon as she saw us "Matt and Al, I'm sorry your father couldn't come to get you" she sighed, hugging us again
"Now now, darling, they know that, it's okay" Charles chuckled. "It's fine, really" Mattheo assured with a chuckle of his own as he and I each gave Charles a hug
"Hey, Enz" he hugged Enzo as well of course before we apparated to the Berkshire manor together
"Dinner will be ready at 9!" Esmerelda announced as we went upstairs to Enzo's room where we put our things.
We were going to spend the night there as the house got decorated and early prepped for the Christmas party in a few days.
All three of us talked a lot and laughed together before going back downstairs for dinner, afterwards going back up to shower, change into pjs then all stay up and watch a movie in Enzo's room.
He and Matt soon dozed off, but I wasn't tired. I took one of my books from my bag and quietly crept downstairs and entered the mini library in the house, similar to the one I have in my own home.
I sat there by the window and listened the soothing sound of falling rain as I read my book. I felt I had too many thoughts flowing my mind, and I just needed a small rest from it; this happens almost every night.
Soon later, I heard the door creak open and saw it was — Esmerelda?
"Oh- Al, hi, it's you" she chuckled
"Hey..." i smiled softly. She scanned a shelf and picked out a book, walking over and sitting next to me. She opened her book snd started reading as well
"Couldn't sleep too, huh?", I nodded. "Something bothering you or on your mind? Wanna talk about it?"
I sighed "I don't know..."
"Does this... have to do with the possibility of seeing Bellatrix again?" She questioned. I like it that she says 'Bellatrix' and not my mother. I preferred it that way.
I set my book aside "Yeah...". "Oh, darling...", she sympathized as i put my head on her shoulder. She wrapped one arm around me for comfort
"I know it'll be hard, but I'm sure we'll keep you safe from her"
"we?...", "Yes... us, the Notts, the Zabinis, the Malfoys... we'll try our best" she caressed my hair softly
"Thank you..." i mumbled softly "of course... we're your second family"
