"Tell us about the 911 call." Spencer says.
"Um, I believe the "he" that they referred to is the church's leader, Benjamin Cyrus." Nancy says.
"Benjamin Cyrus -- no criminal record. No record at all, really." Spencer says, looking through the file. "What else do you know about him?"
"It's rumored that he's practicing polygamy and forced marriages." Nancy says.
"Any idea who the caller is?" Emily asks.
"Uh, Jessica Evanson is the one who the age fits, but... we can't be sure. So I negotiated interviews with all the children. It wasn't easy." Nancy says.
"Well, considering their views on outsiders, it would be best if you didn't identify us as FBI. Just use our real names and introduce us as child victim interview experts." Emily instructs.
They pull up outside the ranch and a guy opens the gate for them. Nancy pulls up outside one of the buildings and the four get out.
"I'm looking for Mr. Benjamin Cyrus." Nancy tells a guy.
"You found him." He says.
"I'm Nancy Lunde. We spoke on the phone regarding the allegation." Nancy recalls.
"Savages, they call us. Cause our manners differ from theirs." Cyrus says.
"We didn't come here to hear you cite scripture, Mr. Cyrus." Nancy says.
"Actually, it's Benjamin Franklin." Spencer corrects.
"Emily Prentiss, Bedelia Davis, Spencer Reid. They're child victim interview experts." Nancy informs.
"How far from God's word must we have strayed for there to be the need to invent a job called child victim interview expert." Cyrus says.
"We wish we didn't have to be here." Emily says.
"So do we. But you are welcome, nonetheless. The children are in the school as I indicated." Cyrus says.
"Thank you." Emily says, the three women walking off.

"We go to school. We do our chores. And we treat ourselves and each other with the respect God demands." Jessica says, her mom standing next to her.
"But you've never been off of the ranch?" Emily asks.
"I brought Jessie here when she was two." Kathy says.
"You've talked to lots of children in your work. Tell me, are their lives somehow better than ours?" Jessica questions.
"We devote ourselves to God. That doesn't mean we're not devoted to our children." Kathy says.
"We are not here because of your religious beliefs." Emily says.
"Why are you here?" Jessica asks.
"We received a phone call alleging that an adult male member of your church was having inappropriate relations with the younger women here." Emily explains.
"You're talking about Cyrus." Jessica says.
"What makes you say that?" Emily asks.
"Jessie, come on." Kathy says, trying to shush her.
"Is it inappropriate for a husband to share a bed with his wife?" Jessica inquires.
"You're married to Cyrus?" Emily asks.
"Yes. Cyrus is my husband and a prophet. It's an honor to bear this children." Jessica states.
"Jessica, you're 15 years old. The, uh, state of Colorado requires parental consent." Spencer says.
"She gave consent." Emily says, noticing Kathy's look.
Cyrus and a couple of other guys storm in with guns.
"Get up! Get up!"
"You heard him, come on."
"Stand!"
Everybody who is sitting down stands up.
"What's going on?" Nancy asks. A man pats Bedelia down before patting Spencer down.
"We just got a very strange phone call from a news reporter. Is there anything you want to tell me about a raid maybe?" Cyrus asks while the guy pats Emily down. The three give him clueless looks. "They don't know."
~ ~ ~
They're going through a tunnel.
"What's going on?" Nancy whispers.
"I don't know. Just stay calm." Spencer tells her.
They hear gunfire as they continue to get through the tunnel.
"All right, move quietly. Quickly go to the left." Cyrus instructs. "Everybody stay together. Children listen to your parents. All right, everyone, down to this end. Have faith."
The three get to the back of the group and find a large collection of guns.
"Where'd all these guns come from?" Emily quietly asks.
"I don't know. Garcia checked with the state police." Spencer mutters.
"Stay together. Remain calm." Cyrus orders. "Everyone remain calm. There is nothing to fear here."
"This is ridiculous." Nancy says.
"It's okay. Just calm down." Emily tells her.
"All right. Remain calm. Stay quiet." Cyrus tells everybody. "God will protect you."
~ ~ ~
"It's the state police. I'm an officer of the state." Nancy says.
"Well, there's nothing we can do right now." Emily says.
"I can talk to him." Nancy says, moving through the crowd.
"No, you can't. It's dangerous." Emily objects, the three trying to follow her. "Nancy, stop! Nancy!" A guy with a rifle stops the three from following Nancy any further.
~ ~ ~
"Do not fear. We are on the side of the righteous." Cyrus says.
"Where's Lunde?" Emily asks.
"It wasn't us." Cyrus says.
"What?! You can't shoot it out with the cops! You have children here." Emily says.
"I didn't start this." Cyrus says, cocking his gun. "I'll take the roof. You take the tunnel." He tells a guy.
~ ~ ~
"They're pulling out! They're pulling out!" A guy yells.
"Not for long." Spencer quietly says.
+++
"Miles is dead." A guy states. "He was locking the door when they shot him. Lauren and Robert were asleep in their bed. The bullets came through the wall."
"What about the baby?" Cyrus asks.
"I have her." They all turn to Jessica who is holding an infant. "She was at the school."
"Hello, darling." Cyrus greets the baby. "It's all gonna be all right, honey. Mommy and daddy have gone to God. Okay?" He says. "It's all gonna be all right." He cradles Jessica's face with one hand. "Take her to the temple and pray." Jessica nods and leaves. "Distribute weapons and ammo. I prayed this day would never come, but it has. God will see us through."

Spencer, Bedelia, and Emily are in the chapel with everybody else.
There's a knock on the door and Cyrus opens it.
"Dave?" He asks. Rossi nods. "I'm Ben. Come on in." Rossi walks in. One guy takes the box of items he has and Rossi holds his hands up while a guy pats him down.
Cyrus shuts the door.
"The children." He motions around the room. "And our guests." He points to the three, Rossi making sure not to show reaction as he feels relief spotting the three members of his team okay.
"I'd hoped you'd let me take the children." Rossi says.
"Nah, they're our protection. I remember Waco. We all do." Cyrus says.
"This isn't Waco." Rossi says.
"They stay for now... while I pray for God's guidance." Cyrus says, taking a Bible from Jessica. "Please don't try to force us out."
"No one's gonna try to force you out of here." Rossi assures. "Trust me."
"Trust is earned."
"It is."
"Tell them I'm not crazy. Tell them I'm just a man living by God's law."
"I will." Rossi holds his hand out. Cyrus shakes it after a moment. He opens the door and lets Rossi out.
"Prepare the wine." Cyrus orders.
~ ~ ~
"We are celebrating." Cyrus says. Bedelia, Spencer, and Emily stand in the back of the chapel, everybody else sitting down. Cyrus and his two guys are pouring the drink for everybody.
"Everyone drinks. Everyone rejoices. Because today we are one day closer to being with him." Cyrus says.
"Look at Jessica's body language." Emily says. "The way she looks at him."
"She literally worships him." Spencer says. "There's no way she made that 911 call."
"Trust in God with all your heart. Lean not on your own understandings. Trust in mine." Cyrus says. Bedelia watches Kathy stand in front of Jessica while quietly talking to her.
"Look how she comes between Cyrus and her daughter." Bedelia points out. "She's inserted herself between them." Kathy sits next to her daughter and the infant.
"Acknowledge Him in all things, and he will guide your way. Drink to acknowledge Him. And I will guide our way." Cyrus says and everybody drinks from their cups. "We will be with him soon. We have drank the poison together."
Bedelia attempts to not be super alarmed as she looks between Spencer and Emily.
"Mothers... fathers... children, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we fear no evil." Cyrus says. "For thou are with us. And God will wipe the tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death nor sorrow nor crying. And there will be no more pain. For all of the former things have passed away."
"What do we do?" Emily asks.
"Nothing." Spencer says.
"Nothing?" Bedelia hisses.
"We have to do something. These people just took poison." Emily says.
"Cyrus just told them he did. I think he's just bluffing." Spencer says.
"Why would you think that?" Bedelia asks.
"Just after he told them about the poison, he waited for them to start to react. Then he nodded to Cole, and he started writing. Look." He whispers, the three watching Cyrus and Cole quietly talk while the latter writes on a notepad. "They're scanning the audience looking for reactions."
"They're writing down the names of the people who are crying." Emily notes.
"It's a loyalty list." Spencer says.
"So he knows who will follow him to the end." Madelyn says.
"Be still. There was no poison." Cyrus states. "Instead a test of faith. Because your adversary, the Devil, waltzes about as a roaring lion!"
Spencer, out of the corner of his eye, notices Bedelia shrink back as Cyrus' voice raises.
"Choosing whom he may devour. Watch each other for signs of weakness. You are your brother's keeper."

Bedelia and Emily are sitting on one bench while Spencer sits across from him.
Cyrus and Cole walk in.
"Who is it?" Cyrus asks, walking to the other side of the benches. He pulls his gun out. "Which two of you are the FBI agents?"
"Why do you think two of us are FBI agents?" Spencer asks, glancing at the two women.
"God will forgive me for what I must do." Cyrus says before aiming the gun at Spencer's forehead making Bedelia tense up.
"I-- I don't know what you're talking about." Spencer says.
"Two of you do." Cyrus says. "Who is it?"
"It-- it's me." Bedelia quickly says.
"Me." Emily speaks up at the same time. The two glance at each other and share a look of understanding. Meanwhile Spencer tries to discreetly give them an incredulous look.
"It's us." Emily states.
Cyrus lowers the gun and uncocks it. Bedelia lets out a small sigh of relief at the gun no longer aimed at Spencer. Cyrus puts the gun back in his waistband.
Bedelia cries out as Cyrus grabs a fistful of her hair before doing the same to Emily who also cries out. He pulls them off the bench, the two falling onto the floor, still crying out in pain.
Cyrus drags them into the supply closet.
Spencer moves a little, Cole immediately cocking the gun and aiming it at him.
"I told you not to put me in this position!" Cyrus yells, letting go of them. He backhands Emily making her fall on her face and then he kicks her in the abdomen.
Cyrus kicks Bedelia multiple times in the abdomen, the woman crying out in pain.
"Get up!" Cyrus yells, pulling Emily up and throwing her against the wall making her crash into a mirror. "Proverbs 20:30 tells us blows and wounds cleanse away evil." Cyrus slams her into the opposite wall. He grabs Bedelia and shoves her into the shelves and she falls to the floor, stuff falling on her.
She quietly groans, attempting to get up, but Cyrus harshly backhands her, sending her back to the ground.
"I can take it." Emily says.
"Oh, you can take it?" Cyrus asks before backhanding her.
"I can take it." Emily says.
"I can take it. I'm fine." Bedelia says.
"Pride comes before the fall." Cyrus punches Emily in the stomach and shoves her to the ground. He uppercuts Bedelia, the woman falling onto her back. She breathes heavily as she attempts to catch her breath.
"Tie them up. Put 'em upstairs." Cyrus orders Cole.
+++
Kathy cleaned up the blood from Bedelia's face before leaving her in the room alone.
Cole drags the two into the chapel, their hands tied behind their backs.
"That they no longer love us. They want to abandon us." Cyrus says. "So when I call out your name, please stand." Cyrus says. He starts to call out names as Spencer walks over to the two.
"He looks pissed." Emily whispers.
When Spencer doesn't reply, Bedelia looks up at him, noticing him sadly glancing between their injuries.
"I'm fine." She whispers.
"It's not as bad as it looks." Emily whispers.
"I'm so sorry." Spencer whispers.
"It's not your fault." Bedelia whispers.
"Look at who he's releasing." Emily whispers.
"It's the ones who failed the loyalty test." Spencer whispers. "I'll get word to the team. Wait for a sign from outside to indicate what time the raid will come."
Cyrus finishes calling out names and Spencer walks over to him.
"I told them they shouldn't have lied to you like that." Spencer says.
"To either of us." Cyrus says. "Take 'em back." He orders and Cole drags the two women out.

Figuring out when the raid would be, Emily managed to convince Kathy to help them all escape. Kathy freed Emily and Bedelia and the three helped get all of the women and children down to the basement.
They rush downstairs and into the basement.
"Emily, Bedelia, you two all right?" Derek asks.
"They've wired explosives." Emily states.
"Everybody come on." Kathy urges. "Let's go, kids. Okay. This building's gonna blow up."
"Where's Reid?" Derek asks.
"He's in the chapel with Cyrus." Bedelia states.
"We gotta get you two out of here." Rossi says.
"No. We've gotta get Reid!" Emily argues.
"Guys, I will get Reid." Derek states. "Get out of here. Get to safety."
"But-- no." Bedelia protests.
"Go." Derek orders.
"You lied to me!" They hear Jessica scream.
"No, Cyrus lied to you, honey."
"He can't-- I can't-- he's my husband!" Jessica rushes upstairs.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Derek rushes over.
"Jessie!" Kathy screams, trying to chase her daughter, but Derek stops her. "No!"
"I will get her for you." Derek promises. "Rossi, get her out of here."
Emily, Rossi, and Bedelia drag Kathy out.
They get outside before the bomb goes off and are rounding to the front of the building while the chapel goes up in flames.
"Reid! Morgan!" Emily calls. "Reid. Morgan."
"Come on, come on. Please." Bedelia whispers.
The two both sigh in relief when they finally spot the two walking through the rubble.
"We're okay." Derek calls.
Bedelia and Emily walk over to them. Bedelia immediately wraps her arms around Spencer, tightly hugging him, the doctor returning the embrace.
They pull away after a few moments and Emily hugs him. Bedelia turns to Derek, resting her hand on his arm.
"You sure?" She asks.
"We're fine." Derek promises.
Kathy stands near, looking for Jessica, but not finding her.
Emily walks up to her and gives her a sad look while the others walk past.

They get back to the bureau, Hotch ordering them to go home so they can recover, especially Bedelia, Emily, and Spencer.
"Hey." Bedelia walks over to Spencer as he packs up some of his stuff.
"Hey." He manages to smile a little.
"Look, uh, I... I didn't get the chance to talk to you on the jet." Bedelia says.
"Well, you-- you were asleep the whole time." Spencer points out.
"Right." She nods. "But, um... I just... look, it's not your fault."
Spencer stops for a moment, his movements slowing down a bit.
"What Cyrus did to us is not your fault. I made the decision to rat myself out and I would do it again in a heartbeat. You got that?"
"Got that." Spencer nods.
"Good." Bedelia says. "What if I, um, made it up to you?"
"Made what up?" Spencer asks.
"All the emotional turmoil I'm not necessarily responsible for." Bedelia says. "You busy?"
"Well, Hotch gave us the rest of the day off so, no." He answers.
"You like food?" She asks.
"Yes." Spencer nods.
"Are you, like, okay with hanging out at other people's houses or does that go against your whole germ thing?" Bedelia asks.
"It... as long as you don't live in filth." Spencer says.
"I clean regularly." Bedelia assures. "So? My apartment, take out, TV, talking?"
Spencer seems to consider for a moment.
"Yeah. Yeah, sure." He smiles.
"Great." Bedelia smiles.
