─────𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗟 day in high school is never normal to say. Normal days come and go whenever they want to, depending on someone's mood. Right now everyone seems to be at their best attitude, happy and relaxed.
Students of Hyosan High were all cleaning their respective classes. Su-hyeok, Cheong-san and Gyeong-su were taking garbages out of their class, the boys talked about the last match, the girl who was behind them just listening and laugh when one of them would shout a cheesy joke.
The girl loved every single moment she had with her friends, specially On-jo, I-sak, Cheong-san, Su-hyeok and Nam-ra.
"Well, maybe next time you should learn how to pass the ball." deadpan Cheong-san.
"Woah, look out!" Gyeong-su suddenly kick the bag with his butt leaving Su-hyeok and [Y/n] with them, as the other boy went after him. On-jo and I-sak came giggling and took the brooms.
"Hey, [Y/n] are you coming with us?" asked On jo shouting. "Coming!" she shout back, quickly waving the boys goodbye. After she left, two teachers smoking right in a corner talking.
Right above was Dae-su sticking out half of his body out the window, moving his arms to his face for the smell of cigarette to hit his face. Wu-jin came to where he was and hit the back of Dae-su's head. "Idiot. Come here" he grabs the back of Dae-su's shirt to pull him away from the window.
Dae-su grunts and Wu-jin closes the window.

The day went by and it was time for the students of Hyosan High to go home. Gyeong-su and Cheong-san walking side by side out of the school. Gyeong-su has his arm around Cheong-san's shoulder, "so the restaurant moved? How about a grand opening?" Cheon-san looks at him confused, "but we're not doing one"
Gyeong-su dropped the arm around Cheong-san's shoulder to his side. "What? What—" then Cheong-san's phone. He checks his phone, sees a notification of his mom sending him a message about the restaurant's name. Cheong-san's chicken.
Cheong-san sighs, "seriously? I told them to change the name" Cheong-san says in annoyance, "what about the old name?" Gyeong-su says in confusion.
"We're not doing it. The fryer hasn't even come in yet" Gyeong-su looks down, "I heard there'll be one"
Cheong-san doesn't say anything, he's too busy texting his mom.
ᴍᴏᴍ: ᴡʜɪᴄʜ ᴏɴᴇ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴋᴇ?
ᴄʜᴇᴏɴɢ-sᴀɴ: ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ɴᴏᴛ ᴜsᴇ ᴍʏ ɴᴀᴍᴇ?
"I mean, I would know better than you, don't you think?" then other messages comes in.
ᴍᴏᴍ: ᴏᴋᴀʏ. sᴏ ᴡʜɪᴄʜ ᴏɴᴇ?
ᴄʜᴇᴏɴɢ-sᴀɴ: ᴍᴏᴍ...
Cheong-san grumbles, "my mom's the worst" all of a sudden On-jo bumps her hand on Cheong-san's shoulder making him grunt and drop his phone on the ground. I-sak and [Y/n] right beside her, [Y/n] winces when Cheong-san's phone fell on the ground.
"Hey" I-sak greets, and all [Y/n] was wave at them. "Damn, my phone!" Cheong-san exclaims and picks it up. "You can't run away" On-Jo takes the backpack from in front of her and hands it to Cheong-san, while he checks if his phone had any cracks on it.
"Hey, gopher. Let's get some chicken" Cheong-san looks at the three girls. "but we're not open yet" He says again. "Sure you are. Your mom says she's testing out a new recipe today" Gyeong-su hits Cheong-san's shoulder making him looking at him.
"You're going, right Gyeong-su?" [Y/n] asked him, while he looks at her. "Of course" Gyeong-su says with a chuckle. Cheong-san then looks at I-sak, "are you going too?" I-sak nods, "Mm, yes. I mean your mom told On-Jo to bring her friends" then Cheong-san looks at [Y/n], "are you also going to?" [Y/n] nods with a smile, "yeah, I'm craving for some chicken either way"
"So this is a double date?" Gyeong-su said looking at [Y/n] and On-jo, "what the hell" I-sak then blinked multiple times before taking On-jo and [Y/n] away but [Y/n] told them to go ahead. [Y/n] stood where she was before looking at Gyeong-su and Cheong-san.
"Weird, we're not open today" Gyeong-su then looks at his best friend, "uh, what do you know? Let's get out of here" Gyeong-su then hooks his arms on [Y/n]'s waist who just lets him be. Gyeong-su starts to whistle the auld lang syne tune. Cheong-san feels jealousy building up on him but he just ignores it and pushes Gyeong-su in a playful matter. The three of them chuckle before walking out.
"You both like chicken that much?" Cheong-san asked the both of them. "You have know idea" Kim [Y/n] said before wrapping her arm around Gyeong-su's shoulder. "You bet, I'm gonna eat two wholes"

When they got to Cheong-san chicken restaurant, they started to cheer when Mrs. Lee came out with two bowls of chicken. On-jo was in between [Y/n] and I-sak. Cheong-san and Gyeong-su were on the other side, facing them. "Looks great, thank you" On-jo then takes a fork and grabs a chicken putting it on her bowl.
"Thanks a lot"
"It looks great"
"This looks really good" then Cheong-san looks at his mom, "what did you bring out so much?" Mrs.Lee smiles, "remember On-jo and [Y/n] eat a lot?" [Y/n] shakes her head, "we don't eat a lot, we just eat well, right On-jo?" [Y/n] bumps her shoulder with hers and On-jo nods in agreement.
"Oh, yeah, sure that's what I like to hear" Mrs.Lee looks at Gyeong-su, "eat up, Gyeong-su" then looks at I-sak. "You too, A-sak" I-sak looks at her with a smile, "it's I-sak, not A-sak" Mrs.Lee looks at her with a confused expression, "you changed your name?" I-sak just laughs awkwardly.
"Mom. If you wanna change names, you should start with the restaurant, why are you using my name?" Mrs.Lee looks at his son. "I named it Cheong-san chicken way before you were born"
"Exactly, you named me after the restaurant" [Y/n] sighs, "I don't like—" then Gyeong-su elbows him, "hey! Ah, ah, ah, ah. Quiet. Okay. I really like it. Sounds like a tradition" Gyeong-su said while still eating. "Yeah?" Mrs.Lee asked happily, "of course" then the three girls agreed as well.
Gyeong-su then went really close to Cheong-san's face making him move back. "Look, so this is a new recipe we just came up with, so this one is just a little spicy, and this one's really hot"
"What do you think?" Mrs.Lee said with her hands in front of her. "Y-You can totally be honest with me" she stammers. "It's super crazy mad good" Gyeong-su mumbles with food in his mouth, "it's delicious"
"Really?"
"Oh, ma'am, look, if you ever need a delivery boy, I'll work for cheap" Mrs. Lee laughs, "you guys need to study" then she turns to [Y/n], "[Y/n], what do you think, is it too hot?" [Y/n] shakes her head, "it's really good" Mrs.Lee laughs, "I'm glad, how about this one, is it too spicy?" [Y/n] shakes head again. "It's also good" Mrs.Lee laughs nervously, "that's good"
"How about you On-jo, is it too hot?" On-jo looks at the chicken before she looks at Cheong-san's mom. "Salty" Mrs.Lee looks at her surprised, "yeah? Oh..." then she points towards the spicy chicken. "How about this one? Is it spicy?" On-jo shakes her head, "no, it's salty" Mrs.Lee smile drops, "wait a sec. That's not..."
"Uhm, honey!" Mrs.Lee turns around and walks towards the kitchen, "yeah?" Mr.Lee responds, "She says it's salty" Mr.Lee turns around with scissors on one hand and chicken on the other. "It's salty?"
"On-jo says it's salty" Mrs.Lee and Mr.Lee started to find why On-jo said it's salty. "It's good, I don't think it's salty at all" I-sak said while eating her chicken. "Yeah it's good" then [Y/n] tapped Cheong-san's arm and pointed her finger towards the Coca Cola bottle. Cheong-san grabs the bottle and takes a glass cup pouring it in.
"If you think it's salty stop eating it then, I don't want you getting a stomach ache On-jo" [Y/n] said placing the cup of coke that Cheong-san gave her next to On-Jo's bowl. On-jo shook her head with a smile, "still taste good [N/n]" [Y/n] chuckled.
I-sake then decided to change the subject, "did you hear our science teacher?" Cheong-san seemed uneasy all of a sudden. "What about him?" He asked. "Well, he smells like a rotting corpse"
"Oh, Na-yeon spread that rumor, right?" [Y/n] shook her head, "it's true" On-jo said. "He was a set after his son went missing" she then faced Gyeong-su, "then he came into class"
The doors open and revealed Mr.Lee walking in with his usual expression. Students quiet down and all the boys left standing when to their seats.
Mr.Lee stands in front of the classroom, his stuff on top of the wooden podium.
"She said he smelled like a rotten corpse"
Na-yeon slightly crunched her noses of the sudden smell.
"How does she know what a rotten corpse smells like? Did she smell one before"
Na-yeon lifts her finger up to her nose to block the smell.
"I swear she knows every other smell except that one, since she never smelled it before it has to be a rotten corpse. When his son went missing, he started acting weird" On-jo said. "He was in outcast" I-sak said looking down, "I heard he got bullied all the time" I-sak turned towards On-jo and [Y/n].
[Y/n] nods, "Mm-hm. It sucks" On-jo then looks down thinking about that certain memory. "I feel bad for Mr.Lee" then she lifts up her head and looks at [Y/n], "remember last week when he just left class?" [Y/n] nods quickly, "yeah that was super weird"
Mr.Lee was writing on the green board. Students writing every single thing he was writing, right after her wrote "CELLULAR RESPIRATION:", he stops for a moment before he starts writing fast, this caught [Y/n] attention. She taps Na-yeon's arm who looks at her in confusion, [Y/n] points towards Mr.Lee and Na-yeon follows.
Na-yeon lets out a quiet gasp and starts to whisper something in [Y/n]'s ear, [Y/n] shrugs before looking at the teacher again. Mr.Lee then slams the chalk in the green board before walking out in a hurry. Everyone looks at him in shock, the class starts to murmur. Na-yeon then grabs [Y/n]'s hands and interlocks their fingers together.
"What do you think happened?" [Y/n] shrugs at Na-yeon's question before placing her head on her shoulder. "Dunno, but that was unexpected"
"He's never done that before" On-jo said still looking at [Y/n]. I-sak was still munching on her chicken. "They said he was a genius"
"Lots of genius go crazy" On-jo added, Cheong-san then had something in mind. "Well, at least you won't have to worry about going crazy" Gyeong-su, [Y/n] and I-sak laugh. On-jo looks at him with a glare. "Hey! Are you talking trash?" [Y/n] pats On-jo on the thigh who blushes at the sudden action. "Don't listen to him On-jo, his just kidding, right Cheong-san?" [Y/n] gritted her teeth when she said Cheong-san's name.
He nods before looking away in fear.

The five of them finished eating before the start running. "Come on. Hurry up." I-sak said with a bag of chicken in her hand, Gyeong-su right behind her, "I'm so full, we're late anyways"
"[Y/n]! Hold on." [Y/n] stops and looks at On-jo in confusion. "What's up?" On-jo fidgets with her fingers nervously. "I just need to ask you something"
"What is it?" On-jo then makes eye contact with her eyes before looking away. "Nothing, never mind" [Y/n] tilts her head, "Tell me" On-jo shakes her head before walking away but [Y/n] grabs her wrist and makes her turn around to look at her. "Come on, tell me" [Y/n] said with a chuckle.
All of a sudden On-jo lets her hair loose, [Y/n] can feel her cheeks heat up, her heart beating super fast that it can be heard from her own ears. On-jo takes her right side hair and tucks it behind her ear, "is it better like this?" She moves her other piece of her and tucks it behind her left ear. "Or like this?" [Y/n] was too stunned to speak.
She couldn't speak, she wanted to but she just couldn't. Her eyes memorized On-jo's features, a sudden beauty that she could see foreve—
She shook her head and smiled at her, "I—I think the first one" On-jo redid her hair and styled it like how [Y/n]. "So like this?" [Y/n] nodded before walking away. On-jo looked at her confused on why she acted that way but she just followed her.
