*Chapter 12*
Antonio's POV
It's been nine months since Sophia left and six months since my first date with Sophia. I realized on the last date we had that I really love her, but I haven't told her yet. The more I thought about how much I loved her I knew I what I had to do. I had to tell her on our next date.
Coming out of my thoughts by my Beta calling my name.
"Toni!"
"Huh. What?"
"Dude I have been trying to ask you what you were going to get Sophia for her birthday?"
"Oh. Uh, I'm not sure yet."
"You going to see her right?"
"Yes I am. I was just thinking of just taking her out somewhere fancy or something."
"Dude. Fancy? Come on you know that is not her style."
"I know but I want it to be special.You mind coming with me to the mall I want to go to the jewlery store to get something for her."
"What you going to get a ring?"
"A ring?"
"Yes. You know people sometimes get a ring to purpose."
"I'm not going to purpose."
"Well why not you have been dating for a while now and you both love each other even though neither one of you has said it yet and I don't know why." He said like he was talking about the weather.
"I just figured out I love her how did you know."
"Dude anyone and everyone can tell by the way you two sound when you are one the phone with each other everyday." He said as we got into my car and drove off to the mall.
We went to the jewelry Store to get the perfect necklace I seen the other day that reminded me of her. As I went over to the register to pay for it a ring that seemed to match perfectly with the necklace caught my eye and I couldn't help but to get it also, as I paid for it the sales lady told me I have one lucky fiance' to get such nice things. I simply told her she wasn't my wife but that I did love her more that anything.
After that we walked around the mall for a bit longer doing nothing. I told Marcus that I got the ring simply because it match the necklace but wasn't sure how she would handle it so I would save it for later.
A week later I was in Texas taking Sophia to a nice restaurant because it was her birthday. As we finished eating I pulled the jewelry box from my jacket pocket.
"Sophia I know you told me I didn't have to get you anything but I just couldn't help myself."
"Awe you really shouldn't have." She said as she opened the box. "Oh my gosh Toni it's beautiful."
"Here let me put it one you." I tell her getting up out of my seat. " Do you want to hear the legend behind the meaning of the symbols?
"Of course I do I cant' wear something as beautiful as this and not know." She said jokingly.
"This story is about a prince who fell in love with one of his maids. Her father was against their love until the prince gave her a special ring, a Claddagh gold ring.
The ring was fashioned just for her to prove his feelings are sincere: the hands on the ring represented friendship, the crown - devotion and the heart was the undeniable sign of true love. The prince asked the girl to marry him and her father, hearing the symbolism of the ring, gave them his blessing and they lived happily ever after."
"That was beautiful Toni. Thank you." She said while eyeing the necklace with unshed tears in her eyes.
"Sophia, I have something I need to tell you."
Sophia's POV
"Sophia, I have something I need to tell you." He said softly.
Oh no this is it. He is going to say he found someone else. That he doesn't want to see me anymore. I mean I know deep down that I care for him more that a friend now, but I'm not sure if it's love just yet.If he leaves me too I just-
"Sophia," He sighed.
"Yes Toni."
"I...I...I-I"
"It's OK Toni if you found someone else I will understand." I said not bothering to look up from the table.
"Sophi, What do you mean if I found someone else?"
"I know that I'm not perfect heck my own mate told me I wasn't good..."
"Sophia don't talk like that. I was just going to tell you that Ilove you. And, here you go thinking that there is someone else. I wouldn't blame you I have been..."
"Y-you love me?" I asked timidly.
"Uh. Yes Sophia I love you. Always have, and most likely always will." He said while rubbing the back of his neck.
I couldn't help but jump from my seat and kiss him. Even though I couldn't tell him I loved him back I knew that I did. The words wouldn't come out of my mouth easily after what Jason did.
"Forever and for always?" I asked.
The smile on his face showed me he understood why I didn't say it back, but he answered me with another kiss.
"Forever and for always, Sophia no one could take my love from you."
I let the tears fall then. But they were not tears of the past rejection and death no these were tears of happiness that fell from my face. Unfortunately Toni thought he had done something wrong to upset me.
"Look Sophia I'm sorry if I hurt you."
"You didn't hurt me Toni." I said looking up at him confused.
"Then why are you crying?"
"Because you just make me so happy."
After a short conversation later we went back home and climbed in bed and watched movies until we fell asleep in each others arms.

NINE MONTHS LATER
Since Damon's funeral Antonio has visited every month for the past year. Antonio and I are out in the clearing in the woods for our one year anniversary. Sitting gazing at the stars he pull a piece of paper from his pocket and asks me to find a certain star.
"Hey, I found the star! It's really beautiful, but why did you have me find it?" I say still looking into the telescope.
"Because, I had it named for you."
"What?" I ask as I turn to see him down on one knee.
"Sophia Vasquez, I know we have only been together a year but I can not picture my life without you in it. You make me a better man and Alpha. I don't know if I will be able to last much longer without being able to call you my wife. I promise to love you for as long as it takes someone to reach the star I named after you, because it is far more beautiful and better than any other simply because it gets to be yours and no one else's. So will you do me the honor of allowing me to be yours also? Will you marry me?" he says pulling a small ring box from his pocket.
"Yes! Toni I will!!! I love you so much!!!" I yelled as he stood up laughing."My ring is so beautiful. It even matches my necklace."
"Well it should I got them on the same day not really expecting anything I just knew I wanted to get the necklace for you. And I forgot about the ring until the day I decided I wanted you to be with me forever. I went to get something from my closet before I went out to get you a ring when the box fell and hit me on the head." he said laughing.
"Well I guess the Fates were just reminding you that you already had the perfect one."

3 Days later
I find my seat on the plane as I prepare myself for the trip back home. Along with me is Uncle Paul, Aunt Monica, Joel, Ashley, and the girls. Antonio left yesterday to make room for us all. He called this morning before we left. He and my parents are going to meet us at the airport.
"Hey Love."
"Hey I was just calling to tell you that everyone here can't wait to see you again. Oh and that I can't wait to see you. But I really called just to tell you that I love you but I have a meeting so I have to go now OK?"
"OK. Bye I love you too." I said before I hung up.
"Awe isn't that cute." Bianca said from the seat next to me. "By the way we are on a plane so turn off you phone. I don't want to die. I haven't even met my mate yet."
"Oh right I'm sorry." I blushed as she reminded me.
When we touched down, we met my parents outside the airport. Everyone ws getting caught up while eating out. But Antonio and I left them early to go to the ice cream shop. While at the ice cream shop we decided to have the wedding as soon as possible so we set the date for three weeks as a BBQ to introduce me to the whole pack and surrounding packs as his future Luna. As we got done talking about the finishing touches of the wedding, I excused myself to go freshen up. When I stepped out of the restroom, I spotted Antonio talking to someone, as I got closer I smelled a scent that use to drive my wolf crazy.........
Jason.
He was there talking to Antonio, but all conversation stopped as I came into view.

Antonio's POV
We were just finishing up the wedding plans when Sophia excused herself. She was gone for about two minutes before someone came up to our table. I looked up to see Jason as he sat across from me.
"Hey Ant, how have things been going with the Alpha from Texas?" He questioned.
"They are fine, he actually came to visit for awhile. We are having a BBQ in a couple of weeks to celebrate a new alliance if you would like to join us."
"Well I will, just let my pack know..." He stopped mid sentence staring at someone behind me.
She appeared at my side before I could say anything.
"Hey Jason." She said coldly.
"Sophia when did you get back?" Confusion written all over his face.
"I got back with the Blood-moon Pack. I am their Beta after all," she said.
"Well Jason, we have to go and prepare the packs for the party."

Jason's POV
I took Xavier to get ice cream after visiting my parents. I was shocked to see Antonio sitting in a booth eating ice cream, since we have hardly had time to talk much since he usually travels to Texas working on an alliance with them. Something to do with a common interest.
While I was speaking to him, my wolf brought my attention of a certain smell on him. Just as I was about to ask him, I see Sophia come from the restrooms behind him. Common interest huh? It was then, that I was grateful for my quick yes to the BBQ welcoming the Texas pack.
As we talked a little bit more, I found out that she was the Beta. After everything, I would never have even guessed she would be a Beta. I feel like there is something that will happen the day of the BBQ, but I don't want to worry about it unless its necessary.
