Today was your daughters 10th birthday.
That's right. 10 years old.
You nor Mike could believe it, time has flew by.
You classed this as a milestone birthday, as she's now in double digits. The big 1-0. 10. It was still mind blowing for you to comprehend. And as it is such a special birthday, you wanted to plan something special for her. A birthday she would never forget.
A few months ago, you and Mike were watching an ad on the TV. It was advertising the opening of a new restaurant that was actually close to you. You both thought nothing of it at first, until the name of the restaurant popped up.
"Freddy Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex!" the annoying shrill of a young woman's voice sounded. "Freddy returns once again, with some familiar faces by his side, and a new friend!" The camera panned to a new and improved Freddy, Chica and Bonnie, then panned to what seemed to be the replacement of Foxy.
Foxy was now a female wolf, who went by the name Roxanne Wolf. You felt slightly disgusted that the Foxy has been replaced, your favourite animatronic when you were younger. And also at their new designs. They didn't really look like animals anymore, they looked like literal rockstars. Shiny, vibrant plastic, is what they were.
The ad continued "Fazbear entertainment brings you a huge attraction, with triple the fun, triple the games, and triple the pizza!" You stared at the TV, your mouth agape, as the camera flashed, faster than you could comprehend, of all the different attractions, diners, animatronics, you name it. By the looks of it, that restaurant was ginormous.
"Struggling to find a good place to host to your kids birthday party? Freddy's Pizzaplex is the place to go!" The camera did a close up of the 4 main stars. "These new and improved animatronics are designed to be kid friendly, with safety protocols, as well as bringing your kids an amazing performance!" A clip popped up of Chica and Bonnie absolutely shredding their guitars, Roxanne jamming on her key-tar, and Freddy hopping about with his microphone, having the time of his life.
The ad eventually ended, and you and Mike slowly turned your heads to look at each other. "Look who's back" you said. "Back again" Mike said, a small smile forming on his lips.
"It wasn't intentional for me to quote Eminem, but okay" you shrugged smiling. "Anyway. Back to the monstrosity we saw on the TV. Their opening another restaurant?!" you exclaimed with disbelief.
"I think it's awesome" Mike said, still smiling. You rolled your eyes "Of course you do, that's practically every little kid's dream"
"I think we should go there for Y/N's birthday" he suggested. You looked at him like he was William Afton. "Are you insane? You remember what happened the countless other times a restaurant like this opened?"
"Yeah, but..come on babe, the place is huge. The place is way more kid friendly than it was in the 80's, and I highly doubt there's gonna be a rabbit animatronic running around killing kids again" he reasoned. You chewed the inside of your cheek. He had a point.
"And, Y/N loves this type of stuff. Remember when we took her to Chuck E' Cheese?" he said, making you think back to the memory. To be honest, that was a good day, and Y/N loved it.
You exaggeratedly sighed "Fine"
Mike grinned "Brilliant"
So, here you are, a few months later, stood outside Freddy Fazbears Mega PizzaPlex.
You leant against the hood of your car, staring up at the bright, vibrant, billboard with all the replacement mascots on. Just stood outside of the entrance was a big group of parents with their kids. They were all here for your daughters party. She had invited all the people in her class, which was like, 25 kids. You could see through the window that there was a lot of people queuing up at the front desk for other parties, or fun days out.
Mike got out of the car with Y/N, covering her eyes. "No peeking, okay?" he said, and she nodded frantically. He directed her so now that the both of them were stood at the side of you. Mike slowly took his hands away from her eyes "Ta-da!"
She gasped and looked up at the billboard in awe, nothing but excitement in her eyes. "Oh my gosh, you guys are the best!" she squealed, embracing you both in a very tight hug. "Thank you thank you thank you!"
You and Mike chuckled. "Of course, sweetheart" you rubbed her back, then managed to pull away from her tight grasp. "Let's not keep all your friends waiting"
You all set off in a walk towards the front entrance, but Y/N had already ran off to greet her friends. "Well, let's see how this goes" you muttered to Mike.
It's now later on in the day. Present exchanges took place, leaving a very happy Y/N. You, Mike, and all the other parents were sat at a big party table as all the kids were watching the animatronics perform. There was so much stuff in this place, and so much happening, so many kids running about, you could barely comprehend it. There were 3 floors, and like, 10 different attractions, such as Fazer Blast, Roxy Raceway, Bonnie Bowl, you liked the sound of that one, and loads more. The attractions were already huge themselves when you had stepped inside Fazer Blast earlier. As well as a humongous stage.
The animatronics were definitely more improved and advanced. No matter how much you loved the OG's, they were a bucket of bolts. But these, they are 100% not as stiff as the OG's, they were dancing and hopping about all over the place. They also acted like literal people. They seemed to have minds of their own, which amazed you. The technology today was surely amazing.
"Still can't believe they replaced Foxy" you shook your head, looking over at Roxanne who was performing happily on stage with her key-tar. Mike chuckled "You're never gonna get over that, are you?"
"Of course not. What was the need, anyway? Did he not make the cut or something? He was the best out of them all. Bonnie coming in second" you ranted. "As long as Bonnie doesn't get replaced, I guess I could deal with it"
"Oh yeah, if Bonnie got replaced, there would be some problems" Mike agreed with you playfully cracking his knuckles, making you chuckle.
"Apart from that, you gotta admit, this place is fuckin' awesome" Mike gushed. You slowly shook your head then sighed, smiling. "Okay. Yeah, it's fuckin' awesome" you admitted.
Two waitresses came over with arms full of plates filled with steaming hot pizzas, and they filled the table with the plates. You looked over your shoulder, about to call over your daughter, but widened your eyes to see her and all her friends running straight towards the table. They were literally a stampede of kids.
You never saw a group of kids eat anything as quick in your life. One second, the pizza was there, the next second, all the kids snarfed it all down like they've never been fed. They chugged on their sodas, then ran back to the stage, not wanting to miss any of the performance.
You blinked "Goddamn" you were quite literally in awe. Those kids were just little balls of energy on legs at this point. The next thing you knew, Y/N came running back with 3 other girls next her. "Mom! I made some new friends!"
Once Y/N and her new friends stopped in front of you, you nearly had a heart attack. 2 of her new friends looked identical to Susie and Cassidy did when they were that age. You know, your dead childhood best friends? And the other girl looked identical to Elizabeth. You know, Mike's dead sister?
"Mom" Y/N repeated, snapping you out of your trance. You blinked a few times "Sorry. Introduce me"
"This is Sam and Clara" she pointed to the duplicates of Susie and Cassidy as they both gave you a little wave and a shy smile. You waved back. "And this is Beth" she pointed to the Elizabeth duplicate, who was still a fiery redhead. She just smiled brightly at you.
"Oh gee! I meant to ask you!" Y/N exclaimed. "Can I have some quarters for the FazCade?" she asked sweetly.
"Of course" you nodded, rummaging around in your purse. You got a number of quarters, Mike doing the same, and handed them to Y/N. You shared them out equally between all the girls. Once happy with their amount, they ran off straight towards the direction of the FazCade.
You immediately turned to Mike. "Did you just see what I fucking saw?" you kept your voice low. "You mean the duplicate of my dead sister? Yes. Yes I fucking did" he shook his head in utter disbelief. You couldn't get that out of your mind for the rest of the evening, and neither could Mike.
Later on, Y/N went back to the stage with her friends. The animatronics had finished performing, and came off stage to play with the kids. An idea popped in your head as you gazed at Freddy, who was quite close to your table at this moment.
"Pssst-" you said in Freddy's direction. He looked around confused. "Psst! Fazbear!" you said a bit louder. His eyes met yours and he smiled brightly. You beckoned him to come to you, and he did so.
"Hello! How may I help you?" he said brightly. His voice sounded surprisingly as you expected. "Hey. So you know my daughter Y/N over there?" You pointed out your daughter in the crowd. He followed your finger and his eyes locked on her. "Oh yes! She is such a lively and wonderful girl!"
You smiled. You felt slightly honoured at his comment, as she was practically a mini you. I did make her, after all, you thought.
"Tell me about it" you let out a short laugh. "But, it's her 10th birthday today, and I was wondering if..." You told him the rest of your idea, and he nodded eagerly, agreeing with it. He then walked off and was soon out of sight.
He would be back any moment, so you called the cult of kids over to the table and got them to actually sit down this time. "What's this all about, mom?" Y/N asked, eager to get back to dancing around. "Trust me, you'll see" you grinned cheekily at her.
After a few moments, Freddy came back into the area. Once he started singing 'happy birthday', everybody else joined in, and Y/N went bright red. Freddy's chest cavity opened and revealed a large birthday cake, he took it out and lit it, then placed it down in front of Y/N. She gazed at it in awe.
The singing eventually stopped. "Make a wish, honey" Mike said softly. She paused for a moment, then blew the candles out. Everybody cheered and clapped.
The day was coming to an end. Other people in the restaurant were starting to leave or had already left, some attractions were closing, and the animatronics had packed in for the day. The kids social battery was slowly starting to decrease and decrease.
You were chatting with Mike and a few other parents, until Y/N ran over with three familiar faces. "Hey honey. You ready to call it a day?" you checked the time to be 8:44pm. "Before we head home, can we go see the animatronics in their green rooms?" she said excitedly.
You furrowed your brows. "The animatronics are resting now, aren't they?". She quickly shook her head "No. At the end of the day, kids get to go see the animatronics in their rooms privately for a signature or a photo or something"
"Can we pleaseeee go?" she put her hands in a praying motion. "Please please please please please please please" She carried on as you shared a glance with Mike. "Please please please please plea-"
"-Alrighttt! Fine" you chuckled, cutting her off. She cheered. "Yay! Thank you mom!" And before you even got the chance to stand up, she was off. "What is that child on?" Mike chuckled.
You put your jacket back on, collecting any necessities from the table and putting them in your cross-body bag, then threw it over your shoulder. Mike was tasked in carrying all of Y/N's presents, which was about 5 bags in each hand. You followed after your daughter, who was now nearly out of sight, into the direction she went in.
You made it into Rockstar Row, where all the animatronics green rooms were, and it was huge. LED lights lit the whole area, vibrant colours everywhere. It was so retro and cool.
Y/N wanted to meet all the animatronics, and no matter how fatigued you and Mike were, you let her because it was her special day.
There was queues outside of every animatronics rooms with excited kids and their bored parents waiting outside. Chica was up first, as hers was the closest.
But, turns out, you needed this thing called a Party Pass to enter their rooms. The hurt look on Y/N's face broke your heart as none of you had one of those passes, so you cheated the system. You got Y/N in on your little game too, as you got her to play the waterworks trick on the animatronics, and because of how nice these robots were, they couldn't bear seeing a crying child, so they let you in for free.
Because Y/N wanted all their signatures, you bought a post card from one of the merchandise stalls in an attraction, as Y/N had nothing they could sign. Photos were taken with them all, the post card was signed by them all, and you eventually left the restaurant with a very happy daughter.
You were all in the car on the way home. "Did you have a nice day today, sweetheart?" you asked her, looking through the rear-view mirror. She nodded happily "Yeah, I really did. Thank you, both"
You turned your head to look at Mike. He looked at you too. You gave each other a satisfied smile, knowing everything managed to work out.
