They're in Florida on a case about four guys who have been killed. They get out of the SUVs outside the station.

"Ugh. Agh. Is it always this hot?" Spencer asks.

"Every day, all day." Derek says, watching two women walk by.

"That's South Beach." Rossi says.

"That's not what I'm talking about." Spencer says.

"They know." Hotch says.

"FBI." A woman walks up to them.

"Yes." Derek answers.

"Detective Lopez, Miami PD."

"Oh, um, Morgan... Derek."

"Tina." They shake hands.

"Get a room." Bedelia mumbles making Emily smile.

"So, thank you for coming down so quickly." Tina says.

"Agent Jareau -- JJ. We spoke on the phone." JJ says, shaking Tina's hand.

"Yes." Tina recalls.

"These are agents Hotchner, Prentiss, Davis, Rossi, Derek, and Dr. Reid." JJ goes down the line.

"I hope there's no test because I'm lousy with names." Tina says.

"Agent will be fine." Rossi assures.

"Hey, isn't that--" Emily points out.

"Detective LaMontagne just arrived from New Orleans to ID the cop they pulled from the bay last night." Tina informs as Will walks over.

"Detective, it's good to see you." JJ says, shaking Will's hand.

"How are you? Yeah." Will says. "Yeah, uh, Charlie Luvet and I worked together for 7 years. We haven't formally IDed him yet, but we believe it's him."

"Sorry for your loss, man." Derek tells him.

"So, you all know each other?" Tina asks.

"Professionally." JJ says.

"Yeah. The BAU helped me out on a case about a year ago." Will says. "Just for the sake of clarity, I'm not here to investigate. Charlie was supposed to be married this August, so if the guy that floated up last night was him, I guess I have the honor of notifying his fiancée, so she's gonna need some answers, closure, and I'm just here to get that for her."

"Do you know why he was here?" Rossi asks.

"He was meeting up with some college buddies to compete in a regatta." Will says. "He was a big boat guy."

"So he wasn't traveling alone." Hotch says.

"Well, he came alone. He was meeting them here." Will says.

"We should track these friends down, see if they saw anything." Rossi says. "And the other two victims -- any potential witnesses?"

"No. Paul Hayes was here alone on business. Daniel Brown came down to windsurf by himself." Tina says.

"So, they were all essentially alone." Spencer says.

"The unsub watched them long enough to know that." Emily says.

"Yeah. He's probably already scoping out his next victim, and I don't have a damn thing to warn people with, so come on inside. I've got everything all set up." Tina says.

~ ~ ~

"This is everything we recovered from Paul Hayes' hotel room." Tina leads Rossi, Bedelia, and Emily into a room. "It's all been processed, so don't worry about touching anything."

"Thank you." Emily tells her.

"I'm gonna take the skinny kid and Derek to the dump sites, so I got my cell, radio. If anyone doesn't give you anything, just call me." Tina says.

"Great." Emily says and Tina leaves.

"She did say she wasn't good at names." Rossi says.

"Remembered Derek." Emily notes.

"Wonder how she'll describe us." Rossi says.

"Oh, I am sure I don't want to know." Emily says. "It's always sad seeing someone's life reduced to the things they had with them when they died. It's just so clear they didn't know how short their time would be."

"Odd." Rossi comments.

"Odd?" Emily asks.

"His wife reported that he'd been down here almost a week on business, yet he never wore any of the suits he packed." Rossi points out.

"Hmm, and there are appointments going back 6 months in his PDA, but nothing is listed for the week he was here." Emily says.

"Hayes was wearing running clothes when he was killed. So, uh... who takes their wedding ring off to jog?" Bedelia asks, holding up the small bag that has the wedding ring in it.

+++

"What have we got?" Hotch asks as they walk up to Tina.

"Male in the same age range, and we found Luvet's police badge about a half a block from here." Tina informs.

"So, the unsub either ditched it or dropped it when he was getting away." Derek says. "Any sign of Luvet's gun?"

"No. He may be holding on to that." Tina says.

"Why would he kill out in the open like this?" Spencer asks.

"He's losing control emotionally. He could be devolving." Hothc says.

"Moving the body out in plain sight? It's off pattern." Emily says.

"He was interrupted." Tina informs.

"Who interrupted him?" Rossi asks.

"Bring him over." Tina calls to a cop. "Busboy in the bar." She turns to the guy who walks up. "Mi hijito, these are the FBI people that I told you about, so just tell them everything you saw."

"I came out here on my break to have a smoke, and that guy was on the ground, and his friend said--"

"His friend?" Rossi asks.

"Yeah. His friend said that they had just been mugged." The busboy says.

"You spoke to this guy?" Emily asks.

"No, ma'am. I tried. But he did say that he was a cop, so he took off, and he chased after those guys." The busboy says.

"Could you give a description of this cop to a sketch artist?" Derek asks.

"No. I can't. I mean, he was a white guy, but it was pretty dark out here, and he basically kept running away from me the whole time."

"I'm gonna have to get all your information." JJ says and he nods, the two walking away.

"So, this guy is impersonating Luvet?" Tina asks.

"Could just be a ruse he used to get away." Derek says.

"But if he is impersonating his victims, why?" Emily asks.

"Transference." Spencer says.

"Whatever he sees in his victims, he wants for himself. He hates who he is. He's targeting tourists because he sees them as living a kind of lie, too." Hotch says.

"Could be suffering from "Cluster B."" Emily says.

""Cluster B"?" Tina asks.

"Uh, a cluster of personality disorders. It's also called the erratic, dramatic, or emotional cluster, an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that differentiates itself markedly from the expectations of the individuals' culture. It manifests itself--"

"This guy is a sick dude." Derek says, cutting Spencer off.

"But something triggers his constant need to escape." Emily says. "It could be drugs, sex, something that makes him feel vulnerable."

"And he can't allow himself the vulnerability." Hotch says.

"Escape into the fantasy protects him from ever having to look at himself." Rossi says.

"You know, if the unsub lives in their skin, odds are, he's living in their hotel rooms." Rossi says.

"Any ID on the body?" Hotch asks, going over to the techs.

"No wallet, nothing." A woman says. "It might have dropped. They're searching now."

"You're not gonna find anything. We need to roll the prints and run them. We need to figure out who he is and where he was staying." Hotch says.

+++

They're in the hotel room that's trashed since the unsub ransacked it.

"Forensics pulled hair from the sink, but it'll be days before we get results." Tina says.

"We don't have that kind of time." Emily says.

"The unsub can't follow his pattern. He thinks there might have been a witness, so he's gonna need to change identities sooner than usual." Spencer says.

"What if he can't?" Derek asks.

"What do you mean?" Tina asks.

"We're predicting that the unsub may take another life in the next 24 hours because there was a witness who saw him." Derek says. "Remember what Garcia said, that specific paradigm -- two victims in one day? That occurred one other time. The first two men disappeared on the same day."

"Because somebody might have seen something that threatened the unsub with getting caught?" Emily asks.

"It's worth profiling." Derek says.

"Steven Fitzgerald first went missing two months ago, took a bus to Miami from Oakland Park, which is just up the highway, never seen again." Tina says. "Robert Feeney flew in for a wedding but never arrived at his hotel."

"We need to get back in these files, question both families. Somewhere along the way, their paths may have crossed." Derek says.

They found the car of the latest victim, but there was another victim dead in the driver's seat. There was a receipt for a hostel and they split up to search different ones.

"Michael Aldridge checked in an hour ago." The woman tells Bedelia, Derek, and Tina.

"What room did you put him in?" Derek asks.

"It's like a day room kind of thing, like a dormitory." The woman says.

"A dormitory full of kids?" Tina asks.

"It's pretty full." The woman says. Tina rushes towards the building.

"Lopez, slow down." Derek calls. "The rest of our team is on their way, we should wait."

"Look, I got a nut with a gun in a house full of kids. If you want to wait, wait." Tina says before rushing inside.

Derek and Bedelia glance at each other.

"Let's go." Derek tells the two cops, the four rushing inside. "Get them out of here." Derek tells the cops. "FBI. Nobody move. Nobody panic."

"We're looking for Steven Fitzgerald." Bedelia states.

"You two, go, get out of here. Go." Derek tells a table and they get up and rush out. "Looking for Steven, Steven Fitzgerald."

"Steven?" Tina asks.

"All of you, get out of here. Go. Now. Move. Let's go. Now." Derek orders and people leave. Only a table with two guys are left.

"Steven?" Tina asks. "You, out." She tells one of the guys and he leaves. "Steven!"

"Michael? Michael Aldridge?" Derek asks. "Michael."

"Yes?" He turns to them. "What-- what is this? What do you want?" He asks in a German accent, getting up.

"I want you to put that bag down. I just want to talk to you." Derek says.

"But I have done nothing. I didn't do anything."

"I know. I know. There's nothing in that bag you need. I just want some information. I need to find Steven."

"My name is Michael. I do not know Steven."

"Yes, you do."

"No. I don't know Steven."

"Yes, you do. Yes, you do. You know where he is."

"No. I don't know Steven! I don't know Steven! Why do you want Steven? Steven is stupid! He's disgusting! He's filthy!"

"Steven! Steven, listen to me!"

"He is filthy!"

"Nothing is wrong with you! Nothing, man. Look, I'm gonna show you. Stay with me, okay? I'm gonna put this away." Derek says, slowly holstering his gun.

"Derek..." Tina calls.

"Derek." Madelyn hisses.

"Steven, look at me." Derek tells him. "Look right at me. Steven, do you remember who Sarah is, hmm? Sarah is your sister. Sarah is worried about you, man."

"My sister?"

"Yeah. Your sister Sarah. Steven, she loves you. She wants you to stop running."

"Sarah."

"Yeah. Steven, it's okay. Put that bag down."

"I didn't do anything wrong."

"I believe you. Did nothing wrong."

"I didn't do anything wrong." Steven sobs, the German accenting dropping. He drops the bag.

"It's okay. It's okay." Derek slowly walks closer.

"I didn't do anything wrong."

"It's okay." Derek grabs Steven and makes him face away from him. "I got to do this." He says while handcuffing him. Tina gets the bag.

"You have to tell them that I didn't do anything with those other guys. I never did. I never did."

"I will."

"I never did."

"Steven, I promise you, I will tell them."

"I didn't do anything."

"Let's go. Let's go."

They go outside and Derek puts Steven in the back of a cop car.

"Scary." Tina comments after Derek walks over to her. Bedelia is standing a couple feet away, pretending she's not paying attention.

"Yeah." Derek mutters. "I was pretty sure he wasn't gonna try anything."

"Pretty sure, huh?" Tina asks, pulling a gun out of the bag.

"Well, let's call it an educated guess." Derek says.

"Hey, Zig, bag this for evidence." Tina says, giving a cop the bag. "You like it here, huh?" She asks Derek.

"South Beach?" Derek asks and she nods. "Come on. What's not to like? I mean, if I'm not on duty, of course."

"Anytime you're free, I can introduce you to the real South Beach, stuff we locals keep to ourselves." Tina offers.

"You think you can show me a good time?" Derek asks.

"You look like mojitos, Cuban food, Brazilian jazz."

"That's not bad."

"Call it an educated guess. Come on down, papi. I'll take good care of you." Tina smirks before walking off, Derek checking her out as she leaves.

"I'll hold you to that." Derek calls after her.

"Morgan, Davis." They turn to Hotch who walks up to them. Emily, Spencer, and Rossi are standing back by the SUV. "You two couldn't wait?" Hotch asks.

"This one's on me, Hotch." Derek states. "I didn't think we had enough time." He says. Hotch walks away.

Emily and Bedelia walk up to JJ who is watching Will leave.

"You should go for him." Emily says.

"What?" JJ asks.

"You'd make a cute couple." Emily comments.

"Very cute." Bedelia nods.

"You know what?" JJ mutters before running after Will. "Will!" She calls, getting him to stop. The two watch JJ ramble for a few moments before Will pulls her in for a kiss. Derek and Spencer walk up to the two women.

"Well, finally." Derek comments, seeing the two kiss. Bedelia chuckles.

"Mm. I thought she was never gonna admit it." Emily says.

"Yeah. What's it been, like, a year?" Spencer asks.

"Yeah, something like that." Derek says.
