The basics on ascending the ego

The ascension of the ego is the pursuit to increase the longevity of the sense of self by providing a mental image of yourself into the pages of books, the very environment, and the mind of people. People try to achieve this through many forms but all being derived from one form of "ascension". One form of this is what we call fame, fame is the popularity of something and the reason for such fame can differ. Another can be a legacy, leaving behind things for future generations to know is another way to stay "alive". You may ask "how is this even immortality?", the reason people pursue this form of "immortality" is because people realize for at least at our evolutionary standing we are not capable of biological immortality at the very least until we get deeper into science. Why wouldn't you want to be known for generations upon generations. Your very legacy being thought in schools to your family. But let's get into some of these ways of this ascension.
