I got up from the couch and made my way to the door, opening it and waiting for his figure to climb the steps.

I wrapped my hands around his neck as he attempted to wrap his hands around my waist with the pizza box in one hand and his phone in the other.

"I brought you the pizza."
"That's okay I can't accept it."

6:30 AM
I got out of bed to shower and get myself situated then I woke A'ziyah up to do the same. Her uniform was already ironed and her shoes were clean. The only thing I needed to do was her hair which I'll do when she gets out of the shower.
I made her some scrambled eggs and toast with some orange juice because she prefers orange juice over apple juice.

After she got out of the shower she lotioned her skin and allowed me to comb her hair into a messy bun along with some edges then I sent her to eat her breakfast.
After brushing her teeth and putting her shoes on we were ready to leave out.
It is now 7:30 that nuh bad at all. When mi aguh a school, them time here mi just a wake and school calls at 7:55.
After dropping her to school I made my way to my salon. I am fully booked today since I've been gone for so long.
Mi honestly nuh think mi aguh start duh back walk ins. It either gets too hectic or the day is slow asf. If I go by appointment I won't be wasting my time.
I make a mental note to pick Ji-ji up 2:30 since her school closes earlier on a Friday.

As she was about to speak again I held her hair and started throwing punches to her face. Making sure to aim at her nose.

I swung her to the ground and we started wrestling as she tried to climb on top of me.

I reached for my phone and used it to hit her in the head, making sure it connected harder each time.
She held onto my breast squeezing it like her life depended on it.

I removed one of the sharp pieces from the phone and attempted to jam it into her cheek though she managed to hold me off by biting my lip.

I got from over her body and leaned up against the wall in an attempt to catch my breath. I then got up to look in the mirror.

I dialed Dominique's number but he didn't answer.

I know that he doesn't answer strange numbers but mi nuh know who else fi call. If she really dead mi nuh wah get mommy involved ina this.
I ring his phone again and he answers but stays silent.
"Dominique?"

"Ja'Aliyah."

"Mi and Charity get ina wah fight and she nah respond."

"Mi shop."
"Arite. Mia call yuh back ina five minutes and tell yuh wah fi duh zeen."
He hung up the phone without waiting for a response. Him not even know seh mi phone mash up.
My shop is on the underground level of the plaza so no one comes down here unless they are coming to get their lash done or to inquire about the business. There wouldn't be another reason because this is a dead end. The only way down here is coming from the stairs and the only way up is going back up the same stairs.
"Hello?"
"One a me gee dem a come deal wid it, him suppose to reach already. Yuh good?"
