Italics and no quotation marks are thoughts—including when they're thinking in the mental link

"Normal is normal speaking"

After the chaos of Red Tornado's brother, Mister Twister, Percy wouldn't mind sitting down and resting for a little, but she was attending a gala the next evening because Bruce ahd wanted her to join him and Dick.

She wore a dark blue suit and black flats. She also managed to hide the entirety of the Gala—actually proud of herself for that—while Dick was stuck being happy and greeting people.

After the gala, Bruce informed her that the next gala she would have to actually speak to people.

Then Percy went to chill and relax with her mom, having a great time baking and eating blue foods.

Fury sat in front of Robin and just behind Superboy in the Bioship.

Batman had called her in earlier for a mission to Santa Prisca and she was sitting there with her team.

Earlier, Fury had recieved word that Thalia was getting into a training regime and that she and Annabeth were reconnecting. She was really happy her friend and cousing were getting back in touch.

Being gone for 7 years is probably the worst.

"We're approaching Santa Prisca," Miss M announced.

The mission was meant to be a covert and recon mission. To abserve and report, but Fury had a feeling something was going to go wrong. Terribly wrong.

"Drop zone "A" in 30," announced MM. Aqualad stood, his suit switching to a darker mode for stealth.

Aqualad's turned to a blackish colour.

His chair melted into the Bioship. "Ready."

"Putting Bioship in camouflage mode." MM taps some buttons on her panel and the ship becomes transparent.

It flies closer to the ocean surface, then a hole opens on the floor of the Bioship. Aqualad dives into the ocean.

The occupants of the ship recieve a message from Aqualad a few seconds later. "Heat and motion sensors are patched. Data's now on a continuous loop. Move in."

The Bioship arrives above the drop zone. KF's suit changes to black, MM changes her outfit to black as well. Fury had also installed stealth tech in her clothes because the glowing elements of her suit would attract attention. Her stealth suit changed to varying shades of grey in a camouflage pattern—an idea she had gotten from the Rangers Apprentice series—and the glows all disappeared.

Superboy and Robin both didn't have stealth tech because Superboy didn't like capes, tights and his shirt waas already black, whereas and tigRobin had no need for it when his red suit was pretty dark and he was already very stealthy—like Fury, however she had really wanted a stealth suit. Weird, right?

AN: Said this before but Rangers Apprentice is great and I reccomend if you kind of Medieval-ish series with romance as a subplot and action as the main plot. It is packed with adventure and I just adore the characters. Each character is unique and individual—my favourite character though is the main character, Will. You'll love him because he literally looks like a cinnamon, but will kill you.

The five got ready to get down from the Bioship.

Robin and KF lower themselves with a wire, Fury jumps down and lands softly, MM flies down and Superboy jumps down less softly.

"Knew I didn't need a line." Superboy smirks as he stands from the miniature crater.

"And yet, creating a seismic event may not have helped as much with the covert," Robin hissed.

Fury and Robin exchanged glances, and even though they couldn't see each other's eyes, both knew the other had rolled their eyes.

They checked in with Aqualad and then started heading to the factory.

Then Robin disappeared just as Superboy heard something distant.

Fury sighed, shaking her head as she looked at Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Superboy.

"Once he disappears, the only luck of finding him is me or Batman. However, we have bigger problems. Superboy heard something, so I suggest KF and Superboy switch to infrared to check if we're being tracked," Fury speaks. She wasn't going to switch to infrared because she was more intent on focusing on other surroundings and movement of minor things, not people.

"I agree with Fury, listen to her," Aqualad's reply came through the comms.

KF immediately lowered his goggles. "Got a squad of armed bozos incoming," he reported.

"Two squads," corrected Superboy. "But they'll meet each other before they find us."

Abruptly, gunfire cut through the silence.

"No super hearing required now," KF states, but is quickly shushed by Fury.

Fury went over to Superboy and she closed her eyes, her senses going into override. This often happened when she focused on things, her senses telling her she was too focused, but it often came in handy.

Especially when catching a speedster that was about to run off.

"Stop," she hissed, pulling back his arm and opening her eyes. No one could see the eyes, but they felt the gaze directly on them.

"This is covert. The gunfire will not pose a threat to Robin because he disappeared. No one can find Robin when he does that unless it is me or Batman. We have more pressing matters and I need you to not be impulsive," Fury whisper-yelled at a very shocked Kid Flash. "Now, we are going to go with Aqualad's order and swing wide so that we can steer clear. Do you understand?"

KF nodded and stepped back from the mushy ground, which became that way because of the rain.

Unfortunately, that was not what happened because the gunfire sounded closer.

"Take to the trees or hide in bushes. Do not angage unti-"

KF ran in because he thought he saw Robin's cape and a flash of red. Fury face-palmed with a groan as KF slipped and slid to the ground before the two groups.

"Superboy, can you take the big guy with black and white paint on his face. MM, stick with me. We attack from the trees and catch them off guard," Fury stated calmly and the two nodded.

The gunfire started up again, along with KF's yelling of surprise.

Then Superboy charged and tackled the black–white painted man. He grunted as Superboy shoved him to the ground.

Fury appeared, her dagger slicing through gun barrels and quick jabs knocking out some of them. MM started levitating and slamming the goons into the ground to knock them out.

Then Robin appeared, jumping from the trees and two goons fell down as he landed.

"What is wrong with you guys? Remeber covert?" He yelled, beating another person.

Fury flipped a guy over her shoulder and was suddenly back–to–back with Robin.

"Well, excuse our team for not being mind readers imbecile. I had to stay and not disappear so that they didn't randomly charge anywhere," Fury growled as Robin ducked and she kicked the goon behind him.

Fury twisted to the right and Robin punched a goon next to her in the face as she flipped another one over her shoulder.

"Yeah! We're not mind readers, you know!" Kid Flash exclaimed, then turned to see MM toss a goon into a tree. "Er, I'm not anyway," KF corrected.

He then proceeded to watch as Fury and Robin defeated four more Kobra goons in total sync, as if reading each other's minds.

Fury pulled out a batarang as she aimed it at the red–cloaked guy trying to run. It wasn't necessary as Aqualad appeared and shocked the guy.

She replaced the batarang and saw Robin do the same.

------

"I recognize those uniforms. They belong to the cult of the Kobra," Robin tells the team once they finish tying the goons and cultists up.

"I am sure Btaman would have mentiones it if he knew a dangerous extremist was running Santa Prisca's venom operation," Aqualad replied.

"Exactly, which makes me believe Batman had no idea of this," Fury adds.

"And since there's no love lost between those cultists and those goons, I'm betting Kobra came in and tossed them out," Robin added. "That's why normal supply lines have been cut off."

Fury blocked it out, her eyes scanning the men tied up and broken guns that littered the ground.

She got closer and then heard someone speaking in Spanish, something she understood because Batman wanted her and Robin to be multilingual in case of an emergency (she knew like eight or nine languages).

"Quiet! For now I play along. They'll give me what I need."

That's what the man said and Fury's eyes narrowed as she singled out the man with the apinted face.

She stepped out of the shadows and grinned. "So, what do you need from us?"

Painted man's eyes widened and he stared at the girl. He hadn't even seen her. It looked like she rose from the bush, as if she had always been there.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he denied.

Fury smirk grew a little wider, until she looked sinister and intimidating—especially for a 13 year old.

"Look mister, but I know Spanish and am fluent in the language. What do you wan- Wait!" She snapped her fingers, the sharp sound stopping everyone and they all turned to her. "This was your factory thing and you want it back. The Kobra guys kicked you out, didn't they? That means that you're going to get us to fight them, and if we do you may get your factory back."

Painted man's jaw fell to the ground as he stared at the small girl before him.

"What? I may not be book smart but I definitely know how to use the enemy to my advantage. Secondly, remember Batman being like a genius detective, Did you really think he wouldn't teach his protégés how to read people and how to understand a person's thoughts?" she said with a grin.

Robin grinned back, giving the girl a fist-bump. The other four shrugged and looked at Bane.

"I can get you in via my secret entrance," painted man said, trying to see if this would tempt her, and the rest of the team came to stand in front of him.

"There is a secret entrance, but he's hiding something," Miss M said and tried to read his mind.

Unfortunately, the "Bane" dude was reciting futbol scores en espanol.

"Yeah, 'Oh Great Bane', I sure do love hearing cliché lines. The enemy of my enemy is my friend is used far too often. Also, anyone who says that is going to betray the person they're calling friend," Fury cut in before the team made a decision. She turned to Aqualad, because he was the most logical one out of everybody there.

"He has a secret tunnel. We could use that, which means he leads us but we proceed with caution," Aqualad said to Fury's unasked question of whether they should listen to him.

Fury nodded, then held the guy next to Bane back as MM got Bane out of the ropes.

------

Fury stood behind, watching Bane carefully as Robin, KF and Aqualad moved forward to get a better view of the factory. MM and Superboy stood next to Bane.

Bane turned away and started walking a wall of rock. He moved a rock that didn't really fit with the wall to the side to reveal a tunnel.

Secret tunnel~, Fury thought, mentally laughing at the episode of Avatar that she loved a lot. Then she shook her head. Shut up, brain. Now is not the time.

Bane walked in first and didn't wait for them to follow.

"So, el luchador is our leader." KF's words were not listened to as Robin and Fury entered. The rest quickly followed the two.

They arrived at a panel and Bane put his finger on it. A light flashed green and the door opened.

"All clear," Robin stated after he surveyed the room. Then he disappeared.

"Has that little fool already been caught?"

"No, he just does that," Aqualad replied to Bane in a tired voice.

Then KF ran off.

"Great chain of command," Bane complimented sarcastically.

He was pushed out of the way as Fury stepped forward. "And yours is any better? Last I checked, you were thrown out of your factory. What a commanding presence indeed," she snarked back.

The four left of the team and Bane hid behind some crates, with Bane shooting ineffective murderous glares at Fury. She'd already been subject to murderous glares, she'll live through a few more.

"It's a massive shipment," Aqualad observed.

"Yeah, but they're only taking new product off the line. They're not touching this Venom," Superboy added.

"Maybe freshness counts?" Miss Martian posed it like a question, but it wasn't asnwered because Superboy had heard something.

"Helicopter's coming."

------

Aqualad, Superboy, Bane and Fury were all standing on a platform above the Kobra goons.

"Sportsmaster. He is the buyer," Aquqalad said after recieving it from Miss M.

"Can't reach the League, Robin or KF. Just static," Fury said.

"Comm's jammed. We need a plan, now," Aqualad said directly after Fury spoke.

" I have a suggestion." Bane leapt over the railing of the platform while yelling and crushed two goons.

Fury swore in several different languages. Unfortunately, her swearing was cut short by a monstrous creature crashing through the window and destroying the platform.

Aqualad and Superboy landed on the ground, whereas Fury was still on the platform. She had managed to flip back and was on another platform.

"Destroy them!" The order originated from who Fury assumed was the cult leader. He was standing next to an orange-haired girl.

The fighting started with Superboy fighting monstrous beast No. 2, Aqualad using a water shield to deflect gunfire and shoot water at the Kobra cultists and MM flying in to do some damage.

Then MM was found out and Sportsmaster threw a stick that exploded and caused Miss M to be blasted back.

Fury was now on the platform above the leader of the Kobra cult and she pulled out her dagger—wishing it was a sword—when she changed targets.

Sportsmaster was the bigger threat and she needed to get rid of him.

She jumped over the railing and landed right on top of Sportsmaster, shoving his face into the concrete. The mask cracked and Fury heard a groan.

She hit the back of Sportsmaster's head with the back of the dagger and bruise started forming.

Then she felt her mind being prodded and then the voices of her teammates filled her head.

Busy now, Robin answered Aqualad and Fury felt herself groan at Robin running off (again).

A few seconds later, Aqualad's voice cut through. Robin, now!

Fury tossed the last goon over her shoulder and followed the others, getting through the door and then holding it open as she watched Superboy still locked in battle with Monster No. 2.

Superboy tossed the beast at incoming cultists then ran for the door. It was slammed shut as soon as he entered.

Unfortunately, ugly beast broke it.

"Superboy, the support beams!" Aqualad shouted.

Superboy started smashing the wood and the rocks came tumbing down.

They stopped a few seconds later, with Aqualad snapping a glow stick. The red glow lit up the area.

Fury listened as Aqualad explained the role of a leader and as Robin asked Kaldur to lead them.

She felt pride flow through her and gave Robin a smile—a true smile, not like the ones she used on people at galas and elsewhere.

"Then I accept the burden"—Kaldur stepped forward and placed his hand on Robin's shoulder—"Until you are ready to lift it from my shoulders. You were born to lead this team, maybe not now, but soon."

Robin smiled and nodded, then grinned at Fury. She grinned back with just as much excitement coursing through her veins.

------

Kid, you'll need a running start, Aqualad warned and Kid Flash subtly moved back a little.

They listened to Bane's evil monologue and then KF stole the trigger and MM picked up Bane.

He floated above them until Superboy smiled. "Finally. Drop him."

And Bane saw his life flash before his eyes as Superboy's fist connected.

The team nodded to each other and made their way to the helicopter platform.

They watched Sportsmaster walk towards the helicopter, carrying a small case undoubtedly filled with the Kobra Venom.

Until KF came and ran through the Kobra lines.

"Take the shipment!" Kobra leader shouted.

SB didn't feel like letting that order be followed through and he landed on the ground with a thud. There was a crack where Superboy landed.

He stepped out of the dust and smirked at the monster he had been fighting before.

"Go again?"

The monster charged, but just before it got to SB water shot at it and it was forced back.

"Sorry, not the plan."

Superboy was standing near the helicopter when Sportsmaster started shooting at him from behind.

Meanwhile, Fury had broken the arm of one goon, made two goons twist their ankle and a fourth Kobra cultist was whimpering in fear as Fury cracked her kncukles with a snister smile.

He fainted just before she punched him.

"What the Hades?! Are you so moronic you can't even face me?!" She yelled at the limp form.

She then flipped, ducked and punched another cultist behind her.

Hmm, I should totally get celestial bronze and metal rings. They can be pointy and not just for decoration. Also, these guys will be hit by metal purely for my enjoyment. I'm gonna talk to Tyson and Beckendorf, she thought as she sept another guy of his feet and kicked him in the face.

Another jump and her knee made contact with the same guy, who fell clutching his injured jaw. Fortunately—or unfortunately—he didn't have much time to worry about the pain.

A foot hit the side of his head and he fell.

Fury grinned as the guy fell, then turned to see Robin facing the Kobra leader and her eyes narrowed.

The Kobra leader had just managed to push Robin back when she was there.

Her surprise appearance helped in her making three effective punches. One to the stomach, one to the jaw and one in the neck.

The leader stumbled back in shock while clutching his bruised neck. He looked up to see Robin and Fury fist-bumping then they both turned to him with malicious smirks.

A shiver of ran through his spine. Was this fear? He didn't usually feel fear but the feral madness the two 13 year olds were giving off was something most would be scared of.

"You call yourself a god?" Fury chuckled darkly, causing the cultist to step back. "You are nothing to a god. You would sooner burn to ashes then even be able to be near a god."

Then the cultist heard the explosion and watched as the factory went up in flames.

When he turned back to the duo, four more had joined them.

"Another time then." He then stepped back into the shadows. Robin and Fury checked, but there was no sign.

They both shook their heads, then Robin smiled and stepped forward. "We picked the right guy to lead. Automatically making you the right guy to explain this mess to Batman," he laughed as he gestured to the fire.

Aqualad looked down, then noticed Fury's barely hidden grin at his misfortune. He watched as Fury and Robin exchanged a few words, with Fury placing a hand on his shoulder and the small upturn of her lips indicating a joke.

When they returned, Batman gave them advice on missions, said they would get a report on their performance and then told them they did well.

Fury had left immediately after because she had planned to spend the weekend with her mom.

AN: I made Fury seem like a leader from behind Aqualad because I feel it shows how she would grow into Percy Jackson, leader of a demigod army. Minor orders and small pushed in leadership showing her growth is how I would develop Percy.

What do you think?
