Walking back and forth and waiting for my boyfriend to come back home I was getting impatient. Looking at my phone screen again a lone tear escaped my eyes, wiping it off I sighed for the 36th time and looked at the clock
~"11:49 p.m. & he's still not here!"
Talking to myself as I was about to go to my room I heard the main door opened & there standing my boyfriend the one n only Shreyas Iyer.
He looked so tired that I just wanted to hug him but quickly suppressed those feelings as the pictures from earlier flashed infront of my eyes. Sighing again I went to him & took the bag from his hands & started heading towards the sofa, him following me behind.
~"Are you coming from your university?" Asked Shreyas maybe a bit confused about my outfit.
I just looked at him with those unreadable eyes & decided not to answer him. He seemed more confused but I didn't bothered to answer him. Instead I said
~"Did you had your dinner?"
Placing his hands cutely on his tummy he answered
~"Definitely not...I'm extremely hungry RN...even my stomach is growling...Aaarrrggghhh"
~"Then go & freshen up, I'll heat up your food"
Saying that I left for the kitchen.
SHREYAS POV:
With a confused frown on my face I decided to take a warm shower to get rid of this tiredness. But something about her behavior felt so off...Shrugging off my shoulders as I entered our room I grew more confused cause I couldn't find any of her belongings there. Mentally taking a note to ask her what is wrong I went for the shower.
After coming downstairs I saw her placing foods on the dinning table. Feeling my presence she gestured me to take a sit. After settling down I found all my favorite food infront me. Jumping a little in excitement I said
~"Damnnn babe you made all my favorite foods for me..Is there something special today?"
With a small smile on her face she replied
~"Just dig in already...it might be the last time you're having it"
She whispered the last part but somehow i managed to heard that & said
~"What are you trynna say?"
~"Nothing..dig in already the food is getting cold"
~"Aren't you gonna eat?"
~"Nah..i'm on a fruit diet. You go on" saying that she started playing with the hem of her T-shirt.
Not so satisfied with her answer I sighed and started eating. After a hectic day her & this food is all I want. I must say she's the best cook ever, i'm so in love with her handmade foods.As I finished eating she took those plates & placed them on the sink. Following her from behind my hands found its way to her waist. Flinching a bit she pushed me away from her body & stepped back as a tear rolled down on her beautiful face. Feeling a bit hurt with her behavior I tried to wipe that tear away from her face and with a concern filled voice I asked
~"Whats wrong baby? Why are you crying?"
Pain was visible in her eyes & an unknown fear started to consume my mind
~"Why did you do that to me Shrey? Wasn't I enough?" She screamed
Hearing her I froze in my place & a cold tingle went down my spine.
~"What are you saying bab-" cutting me off in the midway she grabbed her phone & clicked on a particular picture and showed it to me and a silent sob left from her mouth.
Looking at the picture I felt numb as if the ground under my feet disappeared.
~"Why did you do that Shrey?"
Listening to her broken voice I was feeling horrible
~"J-jaan this isn't true, you know how the media always try to spread some false rumors n all,,,,t-this isn't what it looks like---" I tried to point out
~"Who said I got this from social media? I've got my eyes on you Shrey....
