Christmas and new years had finally come to end. Strangely enough i was quite excited for the next part of the season. Aneik is on loan for now and unfortunately Beth England has moved to Spurs so i'll miss her a lot but luckily i get to see her at international camps unlike some of the others. The match we're building up to now for the next few weeks is our Arsenal clash. I'm so excited for this one because i love playing against the Gunners. The reason probably because of the fans as they're always super loud. For the match, we're playing at the Emirates Stadium at 12pm on Sunday 15th January, two days after my birthday and then the day afterwards most of us are going out.
I had arrived at our training grounds and walked in to be greeted by Jessie jumping around my arms. "Heyyyy" i said smiling whilst hugging her bad tightly.
"I missed you!"
"I missed you too, baby Canada"
"I'm not a baby" she said pouting her lip out.
"Yes you are" i said mimicking her.
"Come on then" she dragged me into our reck room where everyone else was chilling on the beanbags and sofas. We i walked in my eyes scanned the room to see who i can go annoy. I chose Pernille and Magda as they were sat in the corner.
"Hello lovebirds! Did you miss me?" i said rather loudly.
"Not at all" Pernille sighed
"You said the wrong thing" i patted my heart sarcastically.
"Of course we missed you, Roo" Magda said smiling at me.
"Nice to see someone love me" i turned my nose up at P.
"Shush, i do love you" she replied smiling.
"Everyone loves me" i said turning around and walking off. But right as i set off i heard Pernille say,
"Don't make me change my mind Rena" she said laughing.
I flipped her off causing captain Magda to shout 'Hey!' at me.
We all went into the changing rooms to get into our training kits and then went out to the pitches. After we finished some drills and mini matches we headed over to our gym. I was walking with Guro. She told me to jump onto her back, so of course i did so. She carried me round the corner whilst we were both laughing. At the time we didn't know that we were being filmed by the media team, but once we realised it made us laugh even more. Once we stepped inside i got off and we made our way to whatever equipment we wanted or felt like using.
I went straight to the foam rollers. Niamh was already over there so i set myself up next to her and we got into a conversation. After that i went over to the bikes and there was a whole line of us. Me, Fran, Lauren, Maren and Sam. We were just sat talking and wasting the time. We all did a few more stuff until we had to go to the ice baths. I went in and goosebumps went straight down my spine. Soon after our time was up in the ice baths everyone filed into the changing rooms to get into our comfy clothes to get ready to go home. We got a quick talk from Emma and she told us that tomorrow we had a full day of media, which is was looking forward to.
I was walking out when someone grabbed me by my arm. I turned to see Erin.
"Sorry, anyway Millie, Sam and Guro are all coming to mine in a bit. Are you gonna join us?" she asked beaming at me.
"Yeah, of course. What time?"
"I don't really care so whenever you feel like. You could come now if you want?"
"I would say yes but i have my car with me"
"So? I can follow you to yours and then you can get in my car and we can drive together" she shrugged.
"Oh okay then"
That's exactly what we did. I got to my apartment and quickly chucked my bag in my bedroom before putting some perfume and body spray on. I ran down the stairs and got into her car.
"In a rush?" she laughed at me being out of breath.
"I have a lot of stairs. Leave me alone"
"I love teasing you"
"I love hating you" i smiled sarcastically at her.
Sooner or later we got to her house and she made us both a cup of tea whilst i got comfy on her sofa, picking out a film for us all to watch. Because it was January it was get dark from barely 4:45 so i closed her curtains and turned the lights off. The only light was coming from the tv and the many scented candles.
"Cosy" she said laughing at my film choice and handing me my cuppa. I chose Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets. My personal favourite.
Millie was next, then Sam but no Guro yet. I was confused. "Do you guys know when Guro's getting here?"
"Yeah about that" Erin looked at me as if she was trying to not smile but she was failing badly.
"What are you on about?" i questioned.
"She's not coming."
"What? Why?"
"Ah well, we never really invited her anyway"
"Why would you do that?" i said baffled.
"Don't get mad. We just wanted to know what happened on boxing day. Please spill. We tried asking Guro but she wouldn't tell us"
"Why couldn't you just ask me at training?"
"I mean, i was planning on doing this anyway. And i was gonna get you to message her to come here after we got some answers"
"You guys are so weird"
"Thanks" Sam said proudly.
"Um what do you want to know then?"
"Everything" Millie said.
"Um so i don't know where to start" i paused, "So when she went outside, i obviously followed her out. She was being off with me all evening so i wanted to know why. I got out and gave her my jacket but thats beside the point. I asked her why and she thought i was moving to Barca." i was about to carry on but Sam asked me,
"Why would she think that?"
"Because ages ago i said that id love to go there at some point and then when she saw i was with some of the girls that play there when i was staying with Keira and Lucy, it scared her"
"Ohhhh" Sam babbled.
"Anyway, i told her that i obviously wasn't moving and i was thinking of extending my contract. I was asking her to tell me what she's been wanting to tell me for ages, and she said that i didn't care because i was 'moving to spain'" i made quotation marks with my hands whilst saying the last bit. "I told her that i do so she said to me to prove it and i" i stopped, blushing a little.
"What did you do Rena" Millie piped.
"I kissed her" i vastly spoke to get it out. They all gasped whilst smiling and stupidly giggling.
"Tell us more. Oh my days" Erin cheered.
"Um she kissed me back and then confessed that she's liked me since she joined but didn't want to admit it. She was worried about falling in love with a teammate as she knows how bad it can turn out. So she said that it was easier to ignore her feelings and hate me." i carried on explaining, "We both said that we liked each other but we agreed to take it slow. So thats why we're spending so much time together. She came back to mine afterwards and spent the night and we've kissed about 10 times now" i finished whilst blushing harder than before.
"Awhhh Rena, you two are going to be such a cute couple" Sam assured.
"Oh stop it" i joked.
"Rena, go phone your lover girl and get her to come over. Also make sure she's aware we know" Erin ordered.
"Ugh you guys better not tease us or i will shoot all of you"
I stood up, walked towards the door and pulled out my phone and rang up Guro, she only took about 30 seconds to answer.
'Rena? Miss me already?'
'Oh of course but get your arse over to Erins everyones here but we're missing you'
'Okay, i'll come'
'Also, don't hate me but they kind of pressured me into telling them about us'
'Ha, okay well at least we don't need to act as if nothing's happening between us'
'True, but expect a lot of teasing'
'I wouldn't think anything less from them'
'I know right. Please hurry up and get here'
'I'm coming now, meet me outside?'
'Yeah just message when here'
We hung up and i went to the girls to tell them she'd be here soon. I got a message from my phone and saw that she was here already. So i opened Erins door and stepped outside to see her walking over. I immediately smiled and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Did you speed here or something?" i joked.
"I live like 5 minutes away"
"I wish i did, for some reason my apartment feels like forever away from everyone"
"You should move in with me" she smirked whilst we walked into Erins house.
"I'll think about it" i smirked back at her. We walked back in and gained a cheeky stare from all the girls making me roll my eyes at them. Me and Guro sat down next to each other and got comfortable. I subtly put my arm around her as the film started and as it went on she slowly leant into my side lying her head on my shoulder. Before the film started i had taken a photo of the cover to post to my story which i did when i lost concentration.

"What you doing?" I heard Guro whisper beside me. I showed her my phone and she responded with an "Ohh". I smiled and turned my head back to the film even though i could feel her eyes still on me. The film soon finished and we all just ended up talking for what felt like hours.
"Hey look at Guro" Erin whisper shouted. Everyone did what she said and we all saw that Guro had fallen asleep on my shoulder. We laughed and Millie took a photo but unfortunately we woke her up.
"Huh" she asked us all with tired eyes which made us laugh even more.
"Bit tired there?" i asked jokingly.
"Was it not obvious?" Sam said sarcastically.
"Shut up guys. What time is it anyway?" she asked pretending to be mad.
"It is 10:53" in said reading the time off my phone.
"Nearly 11 so that means i'm kicking you all out" Erin said ushering us up.
I got up along with everyone else but then i realised that i didn't have a lift as i came with Erin. "Can anyone give me a lift" i asked.
"Guro will" Millie instead.
"Okay then" the Norwegian girl complied. We walked out of Erins house after saying goodbye.
"Let me drive, you're tired and it's not safe" i took the keys out of her hands and got into the drivers seat. On impulse i went on the route to mine and she realised.
"You're going the wrong way"
"Oops, oh well. I guess you'll have to spend the night now" i shrugged.
"It's like that, is it?" she smirked again.
"Well yeah cause if i dropped you off, i'd have to walk to mine so its easier that way" i said trying to prove a point
"Sure"
"I'm not lying!" i argued. I pulled up in the private car park and we got out. I was making my way up the stairs with Guro behind me when i heard a thud and an 'AH', so i turned around to see that Guro had tripped up the stairs. I immediately started laughing at her which earned me a harsh glare. I went down a few steps and grabbed her hand to pull her up. With the force of me pulling her up and her using me to push herself up too, we ended up face to face. My breath hitched slightly when i realised how close we were. She smirked at me and leant in, kissing me gently on my lips. She pulled away and walked up the rest of the stairs as if nothing happened. I was a little taken aback but i soon followed and once i got to my door i unlocked it and went and got her some pyjamas to borrow.
"I should've gone past your house so you get some stuff" i said passing her the pjs.
"Oh well" she smiled whilst walking to my bathroom so she could change. I got into my pjs so i could be ready for when she comes out. I also got us both waters from the kitchen. I brought them in and set them down the bed side tables. She came out of my bathroom and started talking, "You know, i was being serious earlier"
"What, when you stared at me for laughing at you when you fell down the stairs?" i giggled.
"Piss off not that"
"Hey! No bad language in my house!" i pointed a finger at her, telling her off.
"I was talking about when i said you should move in with me. I live on my own, so do you. I live close to training and the others, you don't. It would be nice for both of us" she reasoned as we both got into my bed just like last time.
"Is it that? Or is it because you want to see me more?" i teased her with a smirk.
She pushed my forehead back and laughed. "Maybe a bit of both. What do you think?"
"I'd love to" i smiled. "But thats something that can be sorted out another time, i'm so tired right now."
"Okay good" she said before turning around on her side. I decided to be bold and i moved over to her snaking my arm around her waist so i was spooning her. She didn't move me off, but she moved her arm so she could hold my hand. Soon enough i was fast asleep like a baby. Tomorrow was another day of training and i knew that we'd be tired but i didn't really care.
