Obama felt like he had a duty. His job even after the tragic falling out was to support, love and guide Harry on his path.
He remembered how Harry had gone on for months about this day. Maybe one day we can walk proudly together, he would always say. Obama replayed these memories over and over trying to find a reason. A reason why Harry of all people had stuck.
He thought back to his past relationships, and why had they never made him feel as loved. Michelle was his best friend, but in his heart, he knew she wasn't the one. He knew that no matter what, he would always love Harry.
Lana Del Rey said "When you know you know" and Obama knew. He knew that Harry was the love of his life, he knew that he was better than any man any woman. He knew. That Harry was the one.
But Obama also knew, that Harry was just a man, and that's what they do. They break promises. Because when Harry told Obama that he would never leave him, he had meant it. But a promise is made of glass, it's strong until it isn't. It's hard to crack at first, but after the initial break, it falls. It shatters into a million pieces, it's left on the ground, dangerous to approach and impossible to fix.
To get back with Harry meant having to create an entirely new piece of glass, made industrial it would only take maybe 8 or 9 minutes but for the pair, it could take years. Obama loved Harry. More than anything he had ever loved. But without trust love is nothing.Without a layer of kept promises love was left unprotected, exposed to the weather and in this case betrayal. Their love didn't stand a chance.
They tried to patch it up, but nothing could fill the void that Harry had created.
Obama stood, his eyes teary and his hand shaking, he had no choice but to stand up for Harry. He began to walk, his mind telling him to stop. It wasn't worth it. He couldn't risk putting him and Harry back into the public eye after what the attention did to them. But his heart knew it was right. He knew that whether Harry had wronged him or not he would do this. For Harry, for the love they left behind.
"HEY, over here" he yelled at the group surrounding him. He made eye contact with Harry for a second before he was flooded by the crowd. He watched as Harry slowly backed away from him and the group.
Suddenly a creature appeared on the carpet. It flopped around violently it looked half dead, its fins cut and its eyes cloudy. Obama gasped as Harry was crushed by the creature. He struggled underneath it, Harry slowly losing the ability to breathe.
Obama made a run for him shoving paparazzi aside to get to his long-lost lover, what would he do without Harry, how could he live knowing he didn't do anything to save him?
