Maria steps out of her pod and once out she look around the lab with curiosity as she look around the monitors and everything around the room. She then turn to see Y/n looking shocked since it is possible for Maria to be alive especially being a Mobian.
Maria: Is something wrong?
Y/n: N-No it's just-
Maria came over and gently touch his quill which surprised him while Maria is amazed and said.
Maria: Your a real hedgehog and yet you look and speak like a human. How amazing!
Y/n: Um Well your also a hedgehog as well.
She looked confused until she look at her hands and her body. She find a monitor and carefully look at her own reflection to see that he is right.
Maria: (surprised) How did this happen?! None of thid make any sense.
Y/n: Say Maria? Do you remember anything about your past?
Maria: Let's see.......I remember getting tired after playing around with Shadow so I sent to bed. That was the only thing I remembered. Next thing I know I woke up here and met you.
Y/n: I see.
Maria: Are you apart of Grandpa's experiments?
Y/n: Experiments? What are you-.......wait......you don't know what happened here?
Maria: Um no? Is something wrong?
Y/n look around the room and then he goes on to explain to her what happened and after he told her she is shocked as she started to feel weak and soon sat on the floor.
Maria: (shocked) 50 years.......th-that can't be possible. Does that mean.....grandpa and everyone on board?
Y/n: All dead. I'm sorry.
Realising this she begins to cry. She cries as the door open and Y/n turn to see everyone else. Y/n singals everyone to leave the room for a bit which they did as Maria continues crying for the next few minutes.
(Later)
We see everyone gathered at the control room with Maria sat on a chair and still feeling sad. Tangle came over to support her while we see Y/n and Rogue across the room and talking about Maria.
Y/n: A clone version of Maria? But how is that possible?
Rogue: Maria was sick remember and knows that she will die so in order to save her Gerald Robotnik must have copy her mind and place it into a clone that suppose to look like Maria.
Y/n: That explain that. The note did say Maria is the only hope against a upcoming threat? Does that Maria is a key to defeating the Black Arms?
Rogue: It's possible but we need to gather more intal. I'll take Omega to search around while you stay here with the girls.
Y/n: Right. Stay safe.
She then kissed him on the lips which he kiss her back. The stop and she tells him with a smirk.
Rogue: (smirk) You too handsome.
She and Omega leave the control room and once they gone Y/n walks over to the girls and see Maria gently stroking Tangle's tail which makes Tangle feel satisfied.
Y/n: Everything okay here?
Tangle: (smile) Feels great.
Maria: I never know you have a long tail. Can it move?
Tangle: (smile) You know. Can do some sick tricks with it and Y/n likes it as well.
Y/n: (blush) Let's not go deep with that fact.
Whisper came over as Maria turns to her as she smiles ans says.
Maria: (smile) You look really cute. Your like a puppy.
Whisper: (blush) Th-Thank you.
Y/n: (smile) You really are friendly. No wonder Shadow cherish you.
Maria: (smile) Yeah. I never have a singal friend that is until Shadow came. I was happy to have him. Although others say he is a weapon, I see him as just like us.
The trio smiled and then Maria looks up at Y/n and ask him.
Maria: Is it true though? Is Shadow helping the Black Arms to destroy all life on the planet.
Y/n nodes which upsets her but Y/n kneel down in front of her and tells her.
Y/n: I know Shadow is not himself. Whatever it takes.....we're gonna get him back.
Maria: (smile) Thank you. I figure you all forget about him.
Y/n: Never. We will never forget our friend.
Tangle wonder off and looks at the controls as she hop onto a chair and ask Maria.
Tangle: So Mobius was once called Earth right? What was it like?
Maria: Grandpa told me that planet was peaceful filled with life. There was tall cities, a lot of people and landscapes that you don't believe.
Tangle: What about the Mobians? What they were like?
Maria: Mobians?
Whisper: Our race. Did this exist along with humanity?
Maria: Oh.....Well they are called animals and they mostly live either in the wild or owned by people as pets.
Tangle: So we were once animals? Huh. Well that's kinda lame.
Tangle accident pushed a button and immediately a large screen was turned on and soon it revealed footage of the Ark being in chaos as they watched.
They see scientists armed with weapons and fighting against the guards, explosions and creatures being let out. They watched with Maria was horrorfield and after the footage end they stood there in silence until Tangle said.
Tangle: Now we know what happened to everyone here.
Maria feels sad once again as Tangle ensure her when Y/n got a radio call from Rogue.
Rogue: (radio) Y/n do you hear me?
Y/n: Yeah I hear you. Everything alright?
Rogue: (radio) It's great, no better. Meet us as the engine room, you gonna see this.
Y/n: On my way.
He left the room and after a while arrived at the engine room where Rogue and Omega is looking at a large machine with seven holes which Y/n ask her.
Y/n: What's this?
Rogue: This is the Ark's laser cannon. This was built to destroy anything that is a threat. And see those holes.
Y/n: Yeah, what are they for?
Rogue: I believe Gerald must be making this weapon by using the Seven Chaos Emerald as a way to power this thing up. If we use the Seven Chaos Emeralds and insert it into this machine, we might destroy the Black Arms and end this once and for all.
Y/n: That is a good idea except one probably. The Black arms is over top of New Metropolis. If we fire it apon New Metropolis then the whole city is destroyed.
Rogue: Then we need to lower the fleet away from the planet.
Y/n: How do we do that?
Rogue: Might as well head back to base and think of a plan.
Y/n: Okay but what about Maria? Would she be okay seeing the world all changed?
Rogue: One way to find out. Come on, let's go.
Y/n goes with her and they take Maria onto their ship and they leave the Ark and return to base.
(Sometime later)
They arrived back to base with Y/n showing Maria around and meeting other people which she is amazed to see. They enter the control room as they see Sally speaking to Mina and when they turn they were surprised to see a new face.
Sally: Whose she?
Y/n: This may surprise you but this is Maria Robotnik. Granddaughter of Gerald Robotnik.
Mina: (shocked) What?! That's impossible!
Sally: (shocked) Are you really Maria?
Maria: (smile) Of course and you must be Princess Sally. It is a pleasure to meet you Princess.
She bow which made chuckle a bit and then Sally pulled Y/j to talk and ask him.
Sally: What happened up there?
Y/n: It's a long story but in short we found a clone version of Maria that have her memories from 50 years ago transferred into a Mobian clone.
Sally: I see. You sure this is a good idea?
Y/n: She isn't shown as a threat but their more. We found a laser cannon that we can use to destroy the black arms ships. Problem being it will also destroy New Metropolis if we fire it so.
Sally: We need to drag the Black Arm ships away from the planet and destroy them.....I see what me and Nicole can cook up. At the mean time you show Maria around.
Y/n: On it.
(Short while later)
Maria: (surprised) OH MY GOODNESS THEY ARE SO ADORABLE!!!
We find Y/n and Mina with Maria as they introduce Maria to Cream, Vanilla, Cheese and the other Choas as Maria picked up one and playful tosse one into the air and hugging the Choa which made the Choas and cheese immediately like her.
Mina: (smile) She's really friendly. Maybe super friendly.
Cream: And you say she was once a human?
Y/n: Well sorta. I think Gerald created a Maria with the memories of the original.
Cream: So like a clone.
Vanilla: (surprised) How interesting, and yet she acts normal.
Y/n: Yeah but we learn a lot in the Ark. Like for one there was ones humans living on this planet before us.
Mina: (surprised) Really?! So there was another race before us?
Y/n: Yeah. They called this planet Earth as well.
Mina: Weird name to call it. If that is true then that means everything we know might be fales.
Y/n: Yeah. I'm actually surprised you all not going insane knowing about this.
Mina: Seriously? You do realise we been through so many crazy stuff. Finding our this planet use to have another race before us isn't much of a surprise.
Cream: (smile) Yeah. You could say it's just our usual adventure.
Y/n: True. Guess you have a point. Hey I'm gonna check on Sonic, I'll leave you girls with Maria.
Cream: (smile) Of course.
Y/n leave the room and walk down the hallway to the medical room when Mina came up to him.
Mina: Hey Y/n!
Y/n: Yeah?
Mina: I just wanna say it's good that we have you. Without you I don't think we have a chance.
Y/n: (smile) It's no problem Mina.
Mina: No it is! When you left the Freedom Fighters I was heartbroken. You did so much for all of us and yet after what Mimic and Starline did, they made you to leave because you refuse to fight your own friends. When Conquest unleash his metal Virus on us, we all thought all hope was lost. Everything was all gone until you came back. You came back and free us and then sacrifice yourself to save the world. During your coma we all regret turning our backs on you during the Freedom civil war. I'm just glad your back and with you.....there is hope.
Y/n: (smile) Thanks Mina. I really appreciate it.
Mina blushed and then the two lend in and they kissed. They made out for sometimes in the hallway when they heard.
Maria: Hi there!
They immediately jump and turn to see Maria holding a choa as she explain.
Maria: Cream told me you are going to visit Sonic so I wanna come and see him. Hey....are you two in a relationship?
The two immediately blush in embarrassment and separated while Maria let out a giggle. Soon after the trio were getting close to the medical room as Y/n tells Maria.
Y/n: Sonic is a famous hero and trust me, he's really cool.
Maria: (smile) I can't wait.
Y/n opens the door and they look inside suspect to see Sonic either awake or still in a coma but is shocked to see the bed is empty.
They look around and then noticed a window is wipe open as Y/n look out of the window and seeing that Sonic is gone and he immediately called in Sally.
Y/n: Sally we have a problem! Sonic is gone! He run away!
