One day when Duncan was like 10 (you were 6 at the time) he and your parents had gotten into a fight. Duncan was telling them about how he didn't want to be a police officer like the rest of the family and while your mom was understanding....your dad wasn't. This led to the first of many, MANY, arguments your brother and father would have in the future. After some strong words were shared all you heard was your brother's room door slam and then silence. Now at this point, you and your brother weren't close yet as he seemed to resent you for some reason. But you adored your older brother and after hearing his door slam you became concerned.
So, you picked up the coloring book you had at the time and walked to Duncan's door, and knocked. You learned quickly from your past experiences that it wasn't wise to enter your brother's room without knocking...he might throw something at you if you did. You wait out there for a while, but you never hear a response. Feeling a bit more worried you opened the door. It was dark in your brother's room, the only light coming from the now-open door. You could see your brother curled up on his bed facing away from the door.
"bubby?" you call out to your brother but he still doesn't respond, you go a little deeper into your brother's room approaching the bed getting closer you can see your brother holding himself close facing away from the door. it almost made him seem cold?... Yeah, he seemed cold. so being the concerned little kid you were, you went on a quest to help your brother. you left his room and headed back to yours grabbing your blanket off your bed as well as your favorite stuffed animal and rush back to your brother's room. once you get back in the room you slowly walk up to your brother's bed and throw your blanket over him. it's small and really only covers his torso but it gets the job done. and then you put your stuffed animal next to him. you know that the blanket is the warmest blanket you had and your stuffed animal was your favorite one to hold when storms got scary at night, so you hoped that could comfort Duncan as well.
after placing the items you slowly left the room and headed to your own to start coloring again. now, you didn't see this because you had left but Duncan was very much awake while you were placing the blankets and stuffy with him. and he was baffled, to say the least. he hadn't really been nice to you before and the fact you had done this for him was...making re-think how he was treating you. No one (other than your mother) ever really came to check on him after any form of argument Duncan had with people. so the fact that you did make him feel a type of way (positively).
The next few days after Duncan was less me, still roughhousing, but it felt more playful. this was the start of you and Duncan being closer as siblings.

one moment from your childhood was when you and Courtney were younger and you two would wear matching friendship bracelets. you and Courtney were closer as children, basically attached at the hip and because of this you two were basically best friends. one day Courtney made friendship bracelets. Of course as you two grew up and floated apart slightly you both stopped wearing them, but you both still held them close. You had your's in the glove compartment of your car taking it out when you needed comfort and Courtney had hers clipped in her backpack fidgeting with it when she was nervous during class. You both still hold these gift close.

This takes place while you were being watched by your aunt (your 7 and he's 12) your parents had to be out today so they left you two with her. She's a nice lady, but she already has so many kids that it's hard for her to keep track of you and your brother. So of course when she decided to take you all to the store it didn't take long for someone to get lost, specifically you. You had gotten distracted by a shiny object and didn't notice as your family members had left the aisle.
When you looked back your family was gone, and you slightly panicked. You walked out of the aisle and down into the next to look for them and you still didn't see them. Your panic grew with each aisle you looked down.... Finally, you just break down crying in one aisle thinking they had left you behind. You cried and cried until you heard it.
"Y/n?...y/n!" You look up to see your older brother running toward you. "There you are y/n...I've been looking for you...got a bit worried when you weren't in the-" you cut your brother off as you hug him tightly. You were just happy that you weren't left behind, that your brother had come back for you. " y/n?....what's?" Your brother could see that you had been crying and just sighed as he hugged you back. "Ok dork...it's ok...come on let's get back to Auntie before she leaves both of us." Your brother grabbed your hand gently and led you both back to your aunt's group. She clearly didn't notice that either of you had gone missing for a bit. For the rest of the trip, you held your brother's hand and he didn't complain (surprisingly) he just held your hand and made sure that they didn't leave you behind again.

Heather, even as a kid, wasn't the nicest. But according to your mother when you two were younger Heather would basically drag you around everywhere. If Heather was going to the park, you were going with her, if Heather was going into the living room, she dragged you behind. It was honestly a weird phenomenon that your family never figured out, she hadn't been clingy to any of her older siblings but with you? she just wouldn't let you out of her sight. of course, Heather grew out of the habit and denies that was ever a thing and you were allegedly three at the time so you don't remember it either. (but it very much did happen)

This takes place after you are brought home, you were adopted. DJ had been left at home with a family friend and was sitting on the couch with him as they watched a TV show. DJ wasn't in the best of moods, he wasn't excited to have a new sibling, He thought that you would take all the attention of his mama which of course made him upset.
A few hours later your mama came home, you were wrapped in a (f/c) blanket. "DJ! Come meet your new sibling!" DJ didn't wanna come to meet you, he would rather pretend that you didn't exist.....but he also knew better than to not listen to Mama, so he got up from the couch and walked over to the entrance where Mama was holding you in your lil blankets. "do you wanna hold em?" mama asked, she could guess that DJ wasn't a fan of you, she knew her son too well, but in the same way she knew how big his heart was and had a feeling that once he held you....he'd change his mind.
Dj begrudgingly nodded and Mama carefully started placing you in your big brother's arms, showing him how to support your body and head. He held you for a while, kinda just staring at you. He didn't see why you were so special, he didn't see why Mama wanted to bring you here when they were just fine with each other. That was until you two looked at each other, you looked up at him with your little eyes and you gave him a gummy lil smile and a lil giggle, seeming excited to see him. immediately his heart was swayed. for the rest of the day, he didn't stop holding you.

You and Gwen when you were younger would make finger paintings together. you both would sit in the living room and just giggle and laugh as you two painted the day away. gwen still has all the finger paintings you had declared "just for her" Even though they don't fight her aesthetic, she can't find it in herself to discard them. So they sit in a little trinket box on a shelf in her closet, a box you're NOT allowed to touch. (she's embarrassed to still have them.)

when you two were younger Lindsay would get into her mother's make-up and give you a makeover, she'd smudge makeup all over your face and when she was done she'd go around the house showing you off. You were flip-floppy on how you felt about it, some days you didn't mind and some days you couldn't help but not want to have the stuff caked on your face. But your sister's giggling and happiness made you cope with it (you liked seeing her happy).... although your mother was less than pleased to see where her makeup ended up.

You two have a BUNCH of old home videos from your childhood, most of them being of "fashion shows" you and your brother had. You two would get all dressed up in whatever play outfits your brother had and would show them off around the house. One time you were dressed as a pirate and he was dressed as a pop-star...their very sweet memories. From a time before fame became your brother's life. Before You two came to live such separate lives.
Your brother finds himself looking at those videos often. He misses those times when he was just Chris McLean, when you two were actually close.......sometimes, just sometimes, he wishes he could go back to that......but he can't
