I smiled softly at my phone. This kid was sweet, also troublesome it seemed. I liked texting with her even if I was somewhat sure she had powers. Another one with powers, but oh nobody cares, Clint cause you can shoot a bow and arrow so you're just fine. I thought to myself in annoyance. However, a smile soon returned to my face as I continued texting the potato girl.

I was about to reply, still smiling when a pillow hit me in the face. I looked up to see all my teammates watching me, as I casually clicked my phone close. Tony, the one who'd thrown the pillow at me tapped his ear and I sighed as I turned on my hearing aid. It was always so much calmer when it was off.
"Did you hear a thing any of us just said?" Tony asked, exasperated.
"No." I replied after some thought, deciding it was better to not lie. I glanced to my right as I saw Natasha chuckled slightly. Her eyes met mine and she mouthed talk later. I had gotten better at reading lips lately.
"Well, pay attention now." Tony sighed. He continued speaking and I glanced back down at my phone to see another barrage of texts from Potato. That kid was a fast typer.

I glanced up from my phone to see Natasha watching me intently. I could tell she was noticing the way I was smiling at my phone and how I was clearly texting someone. I put my phone down for a second and signed to her, "I'll tell you later."
She smirked and signed back to me, "You better."
I nodded to her before picking up my phone again and continuing to text the kid.

I smiled as the meeting ended and the others started trickling out until it was just me and Natasha. I looked at her and she could see me grinning from ear to ear. "What's got you so happy?" She signed, knowing my hearing aids were probably off which they were.
"I met someone." I replied, my phone sitting in my lap.
She frowned, "You have L-A-U-R-A." I realized I hadn't taught her Laura's sign name but decided that could go later.
"Not like that. I met a kid." I signed back.
"What?" She asked.
"This kid texted me. She likes potatoes." I smiled at the thought of that.
"A random kid?" Natasha asked.
"Yes," I signed, "It was a wrong number."
"That's nice. Can you introduce me?" Natasha asked.
I nodded and retrieved my phone, "Wanna see?" I signed to Natasha, holding out my phone. She took it and I watched her scroll through the messages I had with Potato, a smile spreading across her face as she read them.
"I like this girl." Natasha sighed with one hand, handing my phone back to me.
"Agreed." I replied, "I'll introduce her to you. She'll like you."
"Thank you." She smiled.
