MAEBY WAS freaking out. She paced around the recording studio with her phone in her hand asking her friends the same question.
"What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?"
"Maybe start with sitting down!" Flora yelled, shutting her notebook. They weren't going to get any music done at this point.
"And then take a deep breath," Ophelia insisted. "It's a text message."
"It's more than a text message!" Maeby argued.
"Look you've met plenty of celebrities, live with plenty of celebrities and probably shook hands with the President. And texting Ice Spice of all people is stressing you out?" Flora shook her head at her friend.
Maeby huffed and flopped onto the couch in their studio. Her father had gifted it to her after their single, CARDBOARD BOX, had blown up a couple years ago and it had seen more than enough breakdowns.
"What do I even say?" Maeby asked desperately. "Hi? Hi with multiple I's? Hey?"
"Why don't you just start with hi? Y'know...the way most people greet each other?"
Maeby sighed dramatically before opening up iMessage.
