CHAPTER 17
FASHIE is walking at the corridor heading to her class. Another day, another stress. Being a grade 12 student is already hard, paano pa kaya sa college.
May dalawang babaeng naglalakad na nakasalubong niya. Tila tumigil ang paghinga niya dahil sa narinig ni Fashie.
“Timothy Degustare was in the bar last night.” Sabi ng nakakulay violet ang buhok.
The blonde hair eyes widened. “For reall?! I shoul've come with you last night pala!” Nakasimangot nitong sabi.
“Even you were there, he's with someone last night. Pupuntahan ko nga sana, kaso nakita kong umalis kasama ’yung babae. He looks really drunk, i no wonder what happened with them after.” Tuluyan ng nakalampas ang dalawa bago niya narinig ang mga susunod pa nitong sasabihin.
Fashie felt a pang of pain in her heart. Her eyes became blurry, para siyang maiiyak at masikip ang puso niya.
He's with someone last night? But Timothy told her he was in his condo! Kaya ba sinabi nitong maaga itong matutulog? Because he's going somewhere?
Fashie didn't know how she was able to reached her classroom with her state right now. Pinilit niyang mag-focus sa klase, pero hindi niya magawa.
“Ms. Guerrero!” Pasigaw na tawag sa kaniya ng professor.
Napaigtad si Fashie at napatingin sa professor niya na mukhang galit sa kaniya. “M-Ma'am—”
“Leave the classroom now, Ms. Guerrero. And let's meet each other in the faculty room tommorow.” Pinal na anito.
She saw Evion and Ruthea are about to complain but Fashie shook her head saying it's fine.
Fashie grab her bag and walk towards the door with her head down. Pinagtitinginan siya ng mga kaklase habang patungo sa pintuan. Nadaanan niya sila Rena na tatawa-tawa.
“Serves you right.” Rena said in a low voice but enough for her to hear. She's not in the moor and Fashie knows what will she able to do if she won't handle her emotions kaya naman hindi nalang niya ito pinansin.
Tinignan niya ang oras sa cellphone, malapit na ang break time ng binata.
Alam niya ang schedule nito, he told her that. Kaya naman dali-dali siyang nagtungo sa building nito at naghintay na makalabas ang binata.
Couple of minutes later, she's seeing senior students getting out from the building. Mah ilang kaklase ang binatang kilala niya kaya nang makita ang mga ito ay alam niyang break time na ni Timothy.
Pero halos konti nalang ang lumalabas ay hindi niya pa rin nakikita kahit na ang anino ng kasintahan.
Where is he?
Fashie decided to call Timothy, but few rings later, no one answered. She tried again and again until 10 calls happened, but he didn't answer.
She saw a familiar two men, they are Timothy's member! The two are also who she saw with Timothy the first day of her school her in F.U.
Nahihiya man ay lumapit siya sa mga ito. “Hi, may i ask?”
Tinignan siya nito mula ulo hanggang baba. “Anong ginagawa ng senior high student dito?” Nakataas kilang na tanong ng lalaki.
Fashie bit her lip the spoke. “I'm looking for k-kuya Timothy po. May pinabibigay sa kaniya si kuya Grego.” Palusot niya sa mga ito na pinaniwalaan naman ng dalawa.
But what the one said made her overthinker thoughts strike.
“I see, you're Grego Ashton's cousin?” Fashie nodded. “To answer your question, he didn't attend our classes this morning. We didn't receive any call from him too.”
Napahinga ng malalim, she needs to calm down and think rationale. Talk first before overthinking. That's her motto.
“If you excuse us...?” Ani isa.
“I'm sorry, thank you po.” Nahihiyang gumilid siya para makaalis na ang mga ito.
Fashie didn't attend her last subject and didn't call Manong Dante as well, she's not going home. She's going at Timothy's place.
She was praying, na sana mali lang ng nakita ang dalawang babae. Timothy is loyal to her, her can't cheat over her. He love her.
Binuksan niya ang pintuan gamit ang card at wala siyang nadatnan sa living room. No one is in the living room, so she guess he's in his bedroom.
Pakiramdam ni Fashie may hindi siya magandang makikita. Dahan-dahan niyang binuksan ang pintuan at halos mamatay ang puso niya sa nakita.
It was Timothy, he's hugging a beautiful girl in his arms. He's sleeping peacefully, natatakpan ang buong katawan maliban sa kanilang ulo.
Nabitawan niya ang dala-dalang cellphone habang nakatitig sa boyfriend niya na may kayakap na iba sa mismong kama nito. The cellphone made a disturbing sound when it hit the floor.
Timothy stirred in his sleep, while the girl is sleeping like a baby.
“Dmn It. What the fck is...” Timothy's sentence was took away when he saw her, in tears and pain looking at them. “S-Sweetheart—”
Mabilis siyang tumalikod at tumakbo. All she wanted to do at the moment is get away from the man who caused so much pain in her whole. The man who happened to be her boyfriend.
She looks like crazy crying while running. Gusto nalang niyang makaalis sa lugar na iyon. She will never comeback to this place again. No never again.
Nanghihinang napaluhod si Fashie sa bermuda sa park kung saan siya idinala ng kaniyang mga paa. Napahagulgol siya at napahawak sa masskit niyang dibdib.
Parang may mga kutsilyong libo-libong tinutusok ang puso niya. The scene when she saw them in his bed flashed in her mind. How could he do that to her?! How could he cheat to her?! She gave everything in their relationship... Kahit alam niyang may mga pagkakataon na hindi niya magagawa ang mga bagay na makaka-please sa binata pero sinusubukan niya.
As if the weather is being with her, the heavy rain suddenly pour. Mas lalo siyang napahagulgol sa gitna ng hindi pamilyar na lugar.
Of all the people that will break her heart, why it should be Timothy? Bakit ito pa ang dumurog sa puso niya?!
Fashie started breathing heavely, she's loosing air. Masakit na ang mga mata, sinisipon na siya ngunit wala siyang pakialam.
“Ahhhh!” A loud scream came from her mouth. She needed to let this pain go away, or else she would go crazy. “Arghhh! I hate you so much! I hate you.... I hate you! How dare you hurt me.... M-Minahal naman kita...” Pahina nang pahina ang boses niya at nanghihina na rin siya.
Fashie tried to stood up but she ended up falling on the ground. Her body feels weak, her knees can't support her body to stand up.
Mabilis lang siyang magkaroon ng sakit pagdating sa ulan. Kahit ilang minuto lang na maulanan siya ay mataas na lagnat ang kapalit.
Unti-unti ay napapikit siya ng mata, she want to rest. Gusto niyang ipahinga ang puso niyang durog na durog dahil sa ginawa ng binata sa kaniya.
FASHIE OPENED her eyes, a white ceiling and light welcomed her sight. She blink multiple times to adjust her eyes and tried to sit. She is in the hospital bed.
“Kuya...” Fashie called her kuya Warren who is busy with his laptop. Since whe he flew back to Manila? Nadisturbo na naman niya ba ang pinsan?
Kuya Warren's head automatically turn to her. A smile appeared on his lips and went to hug her.
“Thanks God you're now awake.” He kissed her forehead, “do you wanna eat something? I'll ask for Butler Jin to buy it for you.” Anito at masuyong hinahaplos ang buhok niya.
“K-Kailan ka po umuwi?” Nanghihinang tanong niya. She could tell she has a high fever. Sa init ng pakiramdam niya at sobranb sakit ng ulo, mataas na mataas niya ang lagnat niya.
“I was in China when Ate Daday called me, dinala ka raw sa hospital. Bigla kang nawala sa paningin ng mga bodyguard mo, kaya hinanap ka nila. Good thing you're wearing your apple watch kaya natrace ka nila. You're cellphone's location was off to trace again. They saa you unconcious in a park and they immediately brought you here in the hospital.” Kwento nito na nagpangiti ng mapait sa kaniya.
Where's Timothy? Hindi ba siya nito hinanap? But Fashie didn't care. He cheated over her. Ayaw na niya itong makita pa. The pain he gave her is almost unbearable.
She couldn't still believe Timothy can do that to her. But women says men will always a men. And it proves what Timothy did to her.
Niyakap niya ang kuya Warren at umiyak sa dibdib nito. Masakit ang ulo niya, nanghihina ang katawan niya, pero ang luha niya au masagananh tumutulo mula sa mga pagod niyang mata.
Kuya Warren hug her back. “Is there something wrong? What happened?” Puno ng pag-aalala ang boses nito para sa kaniya.
Hindi siya sumagot at umiiyak lang nang umiyak sa bisig nito. Hanggang sa napagod na siya at makatulog sa kapaguran.
While Warren on the other hand, staring at his cousin who just cried painfully in hise arms. He's confused of her action, that was the first time Fashie cried like that. Her cries are full of pain, anger and sadness.
Warren is brushing her hair softly, Fashie has a high fever. Mabilis talagang sakitin ito kapag naambunan o konting ulan lamang.
Thankfully he was in China for business, that's why when he heard the news about his baby girl, he immediately flew to the Philippines.
Fashie's parents are always busy and he sometimes tell it to his Auntie and Uncle. But they said everything is for their daughter, which is good but not at the same time.
Lagi itong walang kasama sa bahay. Lumaking puro kasambahay at bodyguard ang nasa paligid. Kaya hanggat kaya nilang bisitahin ito at alangan, ginagawa nilang magpipinsan.
He's cold towards other people, but Fashie, his baby girl, is an exemption. Warren love Fashie so much that he would do everything for her. Like now, flying back here in the middle of an important board meeting.
Warren received a call from their gc, he and his asshole cousins’.
He accepted the call, Warren knew they are also worried about their little princess.
“How's my baby?” Hector asked, panicking and worry is visible on his face.
Itinapat ni Warren ang camera kay Fashie na mahimbing na natutulog habang may malamig na towel sa nuo.
“She have a high fever, hindi man lang bumaba simula dumating ako.” He answered.
Warren stood up to get the small basin, pinupunasan niya ito pagkaraan ng mga ilang minuto upang bumaba ang lagnat at temperatura ng dalaga.
“Pakainin mo mamaya pagkagising. Do everything for her to eat, you know that little lady, mahirap pakainin kapag may sakit.” Ani Coman habang kaharap ang laptop.
Warren sighed, that is his problem. He doesn't know how is he going to feed this little sick lady.
Jacob, who is eating lunch, spoke. “Did Auntie and Uncle know?”
He shook his head, “no. They're in Russia for another business partnership.”
They all let out a heavy sigh.
Their Auntie and Uncle are sometimes unreasonable. They let Fashie alone here in the Philippines while they are busy with their business.
They continued talking random stuffs as theu wait for Fashie to wake up. It's pass 3 pm when she opened her tired eyes. Bumaba na rin nh kaunti ang temperatura nito na nagpahinga kay Warren ng maluwag.
He smiled at her then her Fashie sit and rest her back at the folded hospital bed.
“You need to eat to drink your medicine.” Sa sinabi ay napasimangot ang pinsan. Sinasabi na nga ba niya. Kailangan na naman niya ata itong utuin.
“A-Ayaw ko po... Wala akong gana.” Fashie's voice is low but he could clearly hear it.
“But you need to eat, baby girl.”
The little sick lady shook her head in dissapproval. He sighed and put small foods in a platee and sit beside her.
“Go, please, eat. Even just for 5 spoons only.” Pakiusap niya ngunit umiwas ito ng tingin at pumikit.
Dmn it, what should i do?
“What do you want to eat then? Tell me.” Subok niya sa pinsan na matigas ang ulo kapag may sakit.
She look at her, “ice cream...”
Warren massage his temple and sighed, yes, ice cream. Again.
“Okay, fine. Kainin mo na ’to para pagkatapos may ice cream ka na.” He have no choice but to agree.
Fashie grinned and open her mouth for a spoon of food. Sa wakas ay naubos nito ang pagkain nito at pagkatapos ay sakto namang dumating si Butler Jin na may dalang small cooler with ice cream inside.
Masayang kumakain ang pinsan habang siya ay pinupunasan ng malamig na towel ang katawan nitong unti-unti ng humuhupa ang init.
That's what Warren did that day, take care of his baby girl and do his paperworks.
