Time skip (few days later)
Sana was in school already, earlier than she used to. Nayeon was there with her as well. They were chatting about the upcoming test and what they would do this weekend together.
"So I thought maybe we could go to the movies, what do you think?" Nayeon asked her while holding Sana's hand firmly.
"Sounds like a great plan!" Sana claimed and noticed that someone walked in the empty class. It was Chaeyoung. "What is she doing here so early? I hope she didn't notice that I wore her hoodie today.." she thought and immediately put her jacket on to cover the hoodie.
Chaeyoung froze for a few seconds after seeing that Sana was in the classroom.
She didn't know if she should hide or what, but in the end she decided to just stay in the classroom and sit down on one of the desks.
She couldn't help but stare at Sana from afar, and saw her put her jacket on to cover her hoodie.
"Why did she cover my hoodie? Is she trying to hide something? What's so special about my damn hoodie?" she really wanted to know what was so special about it.
Sana pretended not to see Chaeyoung entering the class and just continued chatting with Nayeon like nothing happened.
Chaeyoung rolled her eyes a bit when Sana pretended she didn't see her. She didn't want to make things more awkward than they already were, so she kept quiet and just watched Sana from the distance.
She couldn't help but wonder where their relationship was heading. Sana was trying to ignore her, which just made her feel more frustrated. But she wanted to talk and try to fix things once more, just so that she could have her back.
"I still don't understand why she covered up my hoodie..." She thought to herself once again.
"Hey Chaeyoung wanna have a seat with us?" Nayeon said loudly so Chaeyoung could hear her. Nayeon patted on a seat that was in front of Sana.
Chaeyoung turned her head quickly once she heard Nayeon calling her name. She thought about refusing, but she couldn't pass on an opportunity like that.
She walked towards Nayeon and sat down next to her, but kept her distance from Sana.
"Thanks, Nayeon." She quietly replied and looked at Sana, but didn't wanna look at her for too long in order to not give any wrong ideas. She had to think this situation carefully before making any big moves.
"No problem! Sana talks a lot about you.." Nayeon said with a smirk and nudged Sana's shoulder. Sana sighed and rolled her eyes, she couldn't believe what Nayeon just did.
Chaeyoung couldn't help but blush a bit when Nayeon made such a joke. She was surprised that Sana talked about her to Nayeon.
"She did? What did she say?" She wondered for a moment, but decided to put it off for later and focus on the conversation.
"Really? When?" She asked Nayeon with a nervous smile. She still couldn't believe that Sana actually talked about her with Nayeon.
Sana looked at Nayeon with a dead glare in which you could read the phrase "don't you dare say it." It made Nayeon chuckle since she wanted it to tease Sana. "Well almost everyday.." Nayeon whispered and Sana slapped her shoulder to stop her.
Chaeyoung's face turned a bit red when Nayeon said that Sana talked about her almost everyday.
"Oh really?" She asked with a nervous smile, feeling a tiny bit of excitement in her heart when Nayeon mentioned that.
"Does that mean she actually likes me back? No, I can't be too sure about that right now, she has a relationship with Nayeon tho." she thought to herself, but she couldn't deny that it made her feel a bit special.
"Ugh this girl is about to reveal the fact that I don't have a relationship with her and that I did that just to hide the fact that I have a crush Chaeyoung.. she's so stupid.." Sana thought as she scrolled through her phone to avoid their conversation.
"I mean Sana is single so you can might try something with her.." Nayeon suggested to Chaeyoung with a slight grin and a raise of her eyebrows.
"Damnit Nayeon.." Sana thought to herself.
Chaeyoung felt her heart beating quickly when Nayeon said Sana was single now. She felt her cheeks burning and looked at Sana, but noticed her busy on her phone. "Damn it. She's ignoring me on purpose." She thought to herself.
She couldn't let this opportunity pass her by. She had to do something. So she turned to look at Nayeon once again and replied, "Yeah, maybe I will."
She tried to act as casual as she wanted, but couldn't lie. She was definitely going to make a move.
Sana chocked on her saliva when she heard what the two of them said. "Y'all are crazy.." Sana murmured under her breath as she played on her phone.
"I mean it's time for you both to start again, don't you think?" Nayeon said while looking at Sana and then at Chaeyoung just to get an answer.
"You're out of your mind, Nayeon.." Sana replied and shook her head before looking up from her phone, her eyes landing on Chaeyoung who just sat silent.
"No I'm not?! You're the one out of your mind because you have the chance and you don't take it!" Nayeon said loudly while slamming Sana's shoulder to wake her up.
Chaeyoung couldn't help but laugh a little when Nayeon suddenly got so aggressive, especially when she slammed Sana's shoulder.
She decided to use this opportunity to her advantage and teased Sana.
"Nayeon is right you know. We've fought enough, it's time to move on and get close once more. Maybe even..." she paused, trying to think if she should say what she wanted to say.
"Maybe even..." she repeated, looking at Sana and hoping she had caught her attention by now. She was dying to say it.
"No. I'm not trusting you enough, even if I still like you. You betrayed me as a friend, I don't care about you breaking my heart because I had feelings for you but I do care about the fact that you chose Mina over OUR friendship that we've build for so long.." Sana explained. There was no way of changing her mind, she was playing it hard to get but she had a point.
She just wanted Chaeyoung to prove her wrong and fix everything alone to gain her trust back, which meant that Chaeyoung had a long way to convinced Sana that she actually loved her.
Chaeyoung was hurt by Sana's words, but she had a good reason to be mad at her. She knew if she wanted to fix their relationship, she had to apologize in a way that would make Sana believe she really meant it.
She took a deep breath and looked at Sana with a determined look on her face.
"I'm sorry. I really am. I've realized how stupid I've been, just for choosing Mina over the friendship we've had for years. I didn't realize just how much I cared for you back then." She said in a calm manner.
"See! She's even admitting it herself. She. Didn't. Care." Sana stated and her eyes glued on the phone. Finally the bell rang and students started coming into the class.
"I'm aware of that now, but that doesn't change the fact that I still want to fix our friendship. Can you at least give me another chance?" She asked Sana when the bell rang. She didn't want their conversation to become irrelevant just because there were other people around now.
"Please, I miss you. I miss how we were before. Can't you just forgive me and allow me to try to make it right?" She paused, waiting for Sana's response.
"Okay.. Fine. But I'm not promising anything." Sana said and closed her phone and reached out her hand to do a handshake with Chaeyoung. Nayeon smirked knowing that her plan started working and that now she had to get Mina out of this somehow.
Chaeyoung was relieved that Sana had finally agreed to give their friendship another chance. She grabbed Sana's hand and gave her a firm handshake.
"Okay, this is going to be harder than I thought, but I'm not giving up." she kept thinking to encourage herself.
She saw Nayeon smiling at the sight of both girls shaking their hands, and she couldn't help but smile as well.
"Thank you, Sana." She quietly said and let go of Sana's hand. "I'm going to do my best to make things right between me and Sana once again." she thought.
Time skip
Once the day was finished Sana was packing her things ready to leave. Everyone had left already and there were Sana, Nayeon and Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung was sleeping on her desk while Nayeon signalled to Sana to wake Chaeyoung up.
Sana shook her head and watched Nayeon leave the class leaving them alone. Sana sighed and stood up from her desk. "Hey Chaeyoung.. Wake up the lessons are over.." Sana said softly next to Chaeyoung ear while patting her back.
"Uhh... Five more minutes." Chaeyoung said in a sleepy tone as she turned to look at Sana. She had woken up, but she still had the sleep in her eyes.
"Why did you want me to wake up so quickly?" She asked Sana in a sleepy voice as she turned to face her. She had been caught off guard when Sana had tapped on her shoulder and shook her.
"Why is Sana even still here?" she thought to herself and put her head down on the desk again. She was trying to take a nap for a few more minutes.
"Come on sleepyhead wake up, you have to go home.." Sana nudged Chaeyoung's body gently just to wake her up. Then an idea came to her mind. "If you wake up I'll give you.. a little kiss.." she whispered to Chaeyoung's ear with a playful tone.
Chaeyoung jolted and sat straight up when Sana touched her and spoke next to her ear. She was very surprised when Sana mentioned a "little kiss". A small blush rose to her face when she realized the implications of Sana's words.
She looked at Sana with wide eyes for a few moments before speaking. "Did you just say you were gonna kiss me if I woke up? Like for real?" She asked Sana with a slightly nervous giggle.
"I was kidding lol! I just wanted you to wake up haha.." Sana laughed at how fast Chaeyoung reacted when she mentioned the word kiss.
Chaeyoung let out a breath of relief when she heard Sana's laugh and knew that Sana had been messing with her.
"You don't joke around with something like that, Sana!" She replied with a playful tone as she smiled at her.
"If you really wanted to kiss me you should have said it straight away." She joked back, feeling her cheeks burning once again.
"Shut up.." Sana shushed her and cupped Chaeyoung's face as she pressed her lips on Chaeyoung's without a warning. Sana's eyes were shut and a smile started forming on her face once their lips touched.
Chaeyoung's eyes widened when Sana suddenly cupped her face and kissed her without any warning. She couldn't move, as her mind was racing with mixed feelings.
She had never expected this to happen, and now she felt her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
"Did she just kiss me?" she thought afterwards and smiled at the feeling of Sana's lips touching hers.
A slight blush remained on her cheeks as she spoke again. "You didn't hesitate at all..." She said, her voice a bit shaky from the shock.
"Why would I? I promised you a kiss after all.. not like someone who breaks their promises.." Sana said in a teasing tone, hitting exactly at the right spot on Chaeyoung's heart.
Chaeyoung went silent for a moment, not sure how to respond to Sana's comment. "She still blames me for everything." she thought sadly, and she had to agree.
"You're right, I messed up when I promised you something I couldn't keep. But let's not focus on the past." She said to Sana with an encouraging smile.
"It's a new start for us, so we should make the most out of it." Chaeyoung paused for a moment, and then spoke again. "By kissing more?" She teased Sana, playfully poking her shoulder.
"Calm down.. you have a long way for that.." Sana said and pushed Chaeyoung back slightly with her finger while smirking.
Chaeyoung laughed at Sana's response to her tease. She felt her face burning, knowing that Sana knew exactly what she was doing.
She put her head on her desk again, looking at the floor. "Fine. I'll have to start slow. But that kiss really motivated me." She said with a soft laugh, looking up at Sana again.
"I wanna kiss Sana again..." she started thinking, and that thought made her blush even more.
"Don't have high expectations, Chaeng.." Sana teased and patted Chaeyoung head. They both walked out of the class towards the gates of the school.
"I know, I know..." She replied, and then paused for a moment.
"Can I ask you a question?" She asked Sana as they walked out. She hoped that Sana wouldn't mind her asking something again.
"Why were you still here when everyone else was already gone? Were you waiting for me?" She asked with a nervous look on her face, but she really wanted the answer to that question.
"Because you were sleeping.. and I thought I had to woke you up." Sana explained crossing her arms on her chest while walking alongside Chaeyoung. "Why did I lie to her.. Nayeon told me to do it.." she thought for a moment.
"Oh, that's nice of you, thank you." Chaeyoung replied with a soft smile, putting her hands on her pockets.
"You're always looking out for me aren't you, Sana?" She asked softly as she looked down on the floor, trying to avoid Sana's eyes.
"I want to look at her though. I want to see her face." she thought to herself, but still tried to avoid doing so. "I can make it up to you if you want." She said, glancing up at Sana for a few seconds.
"Oh really?! How?" Sana asked with a slight laugh wrapping her left arm around Chaeyoung's waist. "Well some teasing won't hurt anyone.." she thought.
"Like... This." she suddenly stopped walking, and then turned to face Sana, who was still wrapping her arm around her. Chaeyoung's face was now close to Sana, and she could feel her breath on her face.
She took Sana's hands in hers and started to pull her towards her, until the two girls were inches away from each other.
"I wanna kiss you." She said, her voice a bit shaky but confident at the same time.
"I want Sana to be mine... Just for a moment..."
