The nice mood was interrupted and neither of the adult said what they had wanted to. After the interruption, Cheng Huan's thoughts, too, were disrupted and just assumed that it was all in her mind.
She sighed to herself and she wasn't sure whether it was relief or disappointment that she was feeling. Rubbing the little rug rat's cheeks with both hands, she took it out on him before they headed over to breakfast.
As for Jiang MingYuan, he had returned to his old cold and quiet self and barely said much.
After watching the sunrise, they went on a sailboat after breakfast. The two adults, with the assistance of the trainers, trained scuba diving and experienced the life underwater. After being out for an entire day, the plan was to head back to Wingan Island at night.
The sailboat sailed the entire night and finally arrived back at the harbor the next morning. The three of them would be leaving on an afternoon flight, so they still had some time for souvenirs in the morning.
The most well-known item on Wingan Island was their coconut carving using coconut shells or tree trunks as raw material. They could be both practical and pretty. Cheng Huan walked around on the street and picked a bunny-shaped safe for XingXing, a fruit dish, bowls and plate for herself. She had also picked out quite a bit of little knickknacks for her employees at the shop. When she was all done with her shopping and was going to return with XingXing, she noticed that Jiang MingYuan was still empty-handed.
"Aren't you going to bring some back to give to others?"
"No need," said Jiang MingYuan nonchalantly.
"You should bring something back with you when you go on vacation. Else the trip will be wasted." Cheng Huan, having so much fun buying stuff, couldn't standby to watch someone else not buying anything. She dragged Jiang MingYuan with her to pick out souvenirs.
The sleeve of his shirt being grabbed along with the slight scent coming from the girl, Jiang MingYuan stiffened all of a sudden. He didn't even turn her down but just walked forward with her like a puppet. All he could see was the white fingers of the girl.
With her bag of souvenirs in tow, Cheng Huan dragged Jiang MingYuan back to the shop that she had visited.
The boss was still happy about the last sales when he saw the customer returning. He was a little bit nervous, worried that the customer might have some sort of complaint. Nevertheless, he still walked up to them with a smile. "Can I help you with anything else?"
"I would like to buy some more stuff." The shop owner was immediately relieved by that. The smile on him became even more sincere. "Yes, yes, please feel free to look around. If you don't find anything that you like, you can come over to my place. I have more back home. If you have any specific request, we can also custom make it and mail to you as well."
"Okay, let us take a look first." Cheng Huan thanked the boss and let go of Jiang MingYuan's sleeves so he could look for himself. "See anything that you like?"
After she had let him go, Jiang MingYuan let out a sigh of relief. He straightened out his shirt, calmed himself down, and acknowledged her indifferently.
This shop was quite sizeable and had a lot to choose from. All the way from earrings to vase with prices ranging from tens to thousands.
Jiang MingYuan had been on business trips before and didn't particular cared about buying souvenirs. As he was being rushed by the one next to him, he took a couple of looks symbolically and picked a few of the most expensive sets. The shop owner made a big sale and his mouth cracked open. Not only did he throw in a few other small gifts, he even offered to ship them for free so they wouldn't have to lug them back themselves.
The three of them walked out of the shop empty-handed, went to an early lunch, and got ready to board the plane.
