Chapter 138 - "Daddy and Mommy are a couple. They will be in the same room and you in your own." (1)
There were two airports in City C. One was built 30 years ago and the other a year ago. Cheng Huan, Jiang MingYuan and XingXing were heading over to the older one. It wasn't too far from the center of the city and just a 20-minute car ride over.
Once they've arrived at the airport, they only had 40 or so minutes to get their boarding passes and check their luggage. As the first-class passengers had their own dedicated passageway, they had time left after all were said and done.
This was XingXing's first time flying in a place and he was very excited the entire time. He even jumped up in joy when he saw the plane.
"Look, Mommy! A big plane!" said XingXing as he pointed at a plane that had just taken off. His eyes were beaming.
"Do you like planes, dear?" Cheng Huan had to struggle to get her hand out to pinch her son on his cheek with the oversized down jacket that she had on.
"Yes!" It was windy and XingXing's cheeks were cold from the wind. Covering his cheeks with his hands, he said, "I want to be a pilot when I grow up!"
Cheng Huan, "..... Okay. Good luck then."
XingXing looked up and giggled. "I want to buy two large planes. One for Mommy and one for myself."
Spreading out his arms, he ran forward for a little bit before he turned back around. His little cheeks were red, "We will fly our planes together, Mommy!"
Walking behind the two of them, Jiang MingYuan looked at the mother and son with a smile on his face. He finally chimed in, "What about Daddy then?"
That reminded the little kiddo.
He finally remembered the Daddy that he had forgotten. But he had already said what he said and he couldn't take it back. XingXing mulled over it for a little bit, his little face all squished together and he finally said reluctantly after a while, "Daddy and I will share the same plane."
The other one belonged to Mommy!
The family behind them were also first-class passengers. They chuckled when they heard XingXing's words.
"Little kid, you can divide it up that way." The man of the house smiled and said, "Your Mommy and Daddy should be on the same plane."
"Why?" XingXing was baffled. "I am going to buy a big plane for Mommy and it belongs only to her!"
"What belongs to mommy also belongs to daddy." Seeing how cute XingXing was, the man wanted to tease him some more. "Your daddy and mommy are a couple. A couple should always be together. Don't mommy and daddy sleep in the same room at home and you have your own?"
"No," replied XingXing with no hesitation. "I share a room with Mommy."
The little kiddo has very strong analytical ability. He figured out something from what the man had said. "Oh. So Mommy and I will share one plane and Daddy will have his own one?"
The kid's words were very naïve but also gave away a lot of information. The man who was talking to him rolled his eyes and was about to say something else when his wife elbowed him and stopped him.
His wife took a step up and said to Cheng Huan and Jiang MingYuan, "I apologize. My Lao Liu sometimes just blurt things out without thinking it through first. Don't mind him."
"It's alright." Cheng Huan smiled and didn't seem to be bothered by it.
The wife let out a sigh of relief. She casted him another glance covertly before she walked up to chat up Cheng Huan and Jiang MingYuan. "You guys going on a vacation too?"
"Yeah, it's not easy that we have time off so we thought we will take a break." Cheng Huan wasn't the type who'd give an enthusiastic person a cold shoulder. "We are heading to Red Coral Island. How about you?"
"Oh, what a coincident! That's where we are heading too." She clapped her hand, smiled, turned, and pulled her own husband over. "My Lao Liu stationed on Red Coral Island when he was in the military, so we thought we'd go and visit it again this time."
"What a coincident. We've heard that Red Coral Island is very pretty."
