CHRIS IS IN THE MIDDLE of an extremely lively zoom call with nick and matt. of course they're on zoom because chris is in la and nick and matt are back in boston. chris has his headphones on, mic set up, and the back of his bedroom. nick and matt are both in their own rooms back in boston. as they discuss random childhood stories, chris can't help but feel a grin tugging at the corners of his lips.
he's supposed to be using his phone to look at the notes app of different stories to tell. the source of his uncontainable joy, however? his phone, discreetly propped up in front of him, displaying his conversation with none other than alessia. he's been texting her back secretly for the entire half-an-hour they've been filming so far.
they're getting to know each other and making jokes. it has been a constant source of entertainment and he keeps finding himself laughing at loud at her messages.
"oh christopher," nick singsongs to chris, causing him to snap his head up to be making eye contact with his computer screen once more. "what are you doing?"
chris quickly finishes out typing his message to alessia. "nothing," he says calmly as he sits back in his chair once more, glancing at his phone screen to see the bubbles from alessia texting him back.
nick furrows his brow and matt chuckles. "ear to ear grin." matt shakes his head and narrow his eyes playfully. "who are you texting?"
chris rolls his eyes but can't suppress another small grin. alessia just sent him a response to what her favorite season is and why. of course it's summer. she just seems like that kind of girl. "chill."
nick smirks, and adjusts the headphones on his head. they both know it's alessia and they are definitely gonna find a way to bring it up. "okay..." nick trails off before literally side-eying his wall. "can we real quick talk about how chris walks lacking in alessia comments the other day?"
"no yeah that was crazy," matt agrees nodding his head and brushing some hair out his face. "fans were tagging me on the comment and i was like there's no way."
chris leans back, stretching his arms above his head. "i'm just throwing the ball her court."
nick's eyes widen and matt smirks. "throwing the ball in her court?"
chris shrugs with a sly look on his face and nick snorts. "kid thinks he is absolutely eating right now." nick adjusts the mic to bring it closer to his mouth. "thinks he's smooth."
chris raises an eyebrow at his brothers, pretending innocence. "what? i just thought if she can rock the stage at the rose bowl stadium, she might enjoy watching me rock the rose bowl stadium. she can decide which one was a bit more fun."
nick grins, catching on to chris' playful game. "so, you're inviting her to a game already?" chris knows for a fact alessia is going to see this. he wants her to even. he's putting himself out there because honestly going on a date with alessia is becoming more and more of a reality.
chris nods, still grinning. "yeah, why not? i think she might appreciate the whole game day experience."
matt leans in, looking at chris with a sly grin. "you're hoping she'll wear your jersey, aren't you?"
chris feigns innocence once again, but his eyes sparkle mischievously. that would be a dream, but he isn't going to get too ahead of himself. he needs dinner first. "be for real. who wouldn't want to see alessia flores rocking their jersey?"
nick chuckles, shaking his head. "okay guys you heard it here first." nick dramatically looks into his camera. "chris sturniolo shooting his shot at alessia flores for the third time. maybe he'll actually be in luck this time!"
chris and matt both laugh and they leaning back in their chairs in unison. triplet thing. "i'm just keeping it calm." chris scratches his eyebrow and grins. "just a friendly game invitation."
"friendly for sure," matt sarcastically responds with a nod of his head.
nick segways them back into a topic from childhood and chris picks up his phone for a moment to text alessia. he decides to warn her about the podcast before it even comes out because he knows it'll be a whole other big thing.
off topic but if you see anything about me shooting my shot at you for the third time, just smile and nod.............

i can pretend that it was only three times
chris reads alessia's response, and a wide grin spreads across his face. he can practically hear her playful tone in the message, and it sends a surge of excitement through him. his brothers, who are now talking about that time chris fell on his back trying to be a basketball star, catch the amused expression on chris' face.
"it's probably the reason why he chose football instead," nick laughs and raises an eyebrow.
"good thing he did because now he's good enough to catch alessia's attention!" matt exclaims with a playful look on his face.
chris and nick both laugh and the playful banter about chris's attempts to win alessia's attention takes a backseat as they continue the podcast.
