i'll try to write my own fics more often now that we have thanksgiving break (thank thor for)
he'd be making so much money.
let's say you don't know how much peter makes, you have an idea based on his lifestyle but you don't have an exact amount. i mean, at this point i'd imagine you'd live together.
and peter, by his own admission, suggested he pay a bit more than you did for the bills. i'm talking like a seventy/thirty split. and you felt bad but he promised you it was only fair because he made more money. how much more? you didn't know.
but one day, peter called and asked you to send him some of his paystubs for something at the bank, therefore giving you full permission to snoop in his finances and holy fucking shit, you gape at the number.
you call him back immediately.
'this is monthly, right?'
"no, it's weekly. just the most recent five should be fine."
you gasp at his answer, "weekly?" peter's concerned for a moment, "yeah? does it say something different?"
"no, it's saying a whole fucking lot of dollar signs." you read over the number again, "do you know how much this is? like, annually?"
"i do." his tone doesn't match your shock, you amp it up. "six fucking figures! thats how much it is, jesus christ, no wonder you're talking about houses!"
you hear the smile in voice, "it pays to date the nerd, doesn't it?"
