Mia, Hermione and Ron are walking along a path with Hagrid, talking.
Hagrid: Nonsense! Why would Snape put a curse on Mia's broom?

"My thought exactly!" a few students chimed in agreement.

"It will explain why," Mia remarked, her eyes fixed on Snape as she communicated her silent message of support, silently willing him to prove his innocence.

Even though she strongly disliked him, Mia felt a pang of empathy at the thought of an innocent man being wrongly accused of something so serious. She couldn't bear the idea of someone shouldering the burden of false accusations, and it stirred a sense of something within her.

Mia: Who knows? Why was he trying to get past that three-headed dog on Halloween?
Hagrid: [turns to them, suspiciously] Who told you about Fluffy?

"HAGRID!" McGonagall scolded him, making the half-giant look with a blush on his face.

"Fluffy?"

"Why fluffy?" Most students asked, baffled at the dangerous dog's name.

"Don't worry, Hagrid, I still trust you with my secrets," Mia said, offering reassurance to the dejected half-giant.

Hagrid's face brightened with a grateful smile, conveying his appreciation to Mia for her understanding.

"You have secrets that we don't know about?" Ron quipped, feeling betrayed at the idea of Mia keeping secrets from their tight-knit group.

"Duh," Mia responded with a playful smirk, breaking the tension with her characteristic wit.

Ron: Fluffy?
Hermione: That thing has a name?
Hagrid: Well, of course he's got a name. He's mine. I bought him off an Irish feller I met down at the pub last year. Then I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the...
Mia: Yes?

"Hagrid, you can't just go around giving away sensitive information like that," McGonagall scolded, her tone firm but not unkind.

"Sorry, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid muttered, looking abashed.

"Don't be too hard on him, Minerva. Hagrid's heart is as big as he is," Dumbledore interjected, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Yes, but he must learn to keep certain matters to himself," McGonagall replied firmly.

Hagrid nodded sheepishly, understanding the gravity of the situation.

Hagrid: Shouldn't have said that. No more questions! Don't ask any more questions. That's top secret, that is.

Mia, sensing Hagrid's discomfort with the whole scene going, jumped in. "It's okay, Hagrid. We all know you have a kind heart," she said with a reassuring smile.

Mia: But, Hagrid, whatever Fluffy's guarding, Snape's trying to steal it.

"I was not," Snape said through gritted teeth, his frustration evident.

Mia, Ron, and Hermione exchanged knowing glances, interpreting Snape's reaction in their own ways. Ron couldn't help but smile, finding amusement in Snape's visible vexation.

Hermione caught Ron's reaction and promptly smacked him on the arm, shaking her head disapprovingly.

Mia chuckled at the exchange between her friends, finding lighthearted amusement whatever they do

Hagrid: Codswallop. Professor Snape is a Hogwarts teacher.

"Yeah, a Hogwarts teacher that tries to kill her multiple times," Ron exclaimed animatedly.

"What!" Remus and Sirius exclaimed in unison, their brows furrowing with concern as they looked to Mia for an explanation.

"What do you mean, multiple times?" Remus inquired slowly, trying to grasp the gravity of Mia's statement.

"It's not him!" Mia interjected, determined to defend him.

Unconvinced by her response, Sirius probed further, "There was another professor?"

Mia hesitated, avoiding eye contact as she nodded in confirmation. Remus and Sirius exchanged a troubled look.

Hermione: Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a spell when I see one. I've read all about them. You've got to keep eye contact and Snape wasn't blinking.
Mia: Exactly.
Hagrid: [Sighs] Now, you listen to me, all three of yeh. Yer meddling in things that ought not to be meddled in. It's dangerous. What that dog is guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel.

The teachers all shouted "Hagrid!" in unison, showing their exasperation.

Sirius turned to Remus and asked, "Who is Nicholas Flamel, for Merlin's sake?"

"I... don't have the faintest idea," Remus conceded, sounding defeated.

"He might as well spill the beans now," George sighed in resignation.

"And thank goodness we did, otherwise the situation would be a lot worse than it already is,"

Mia: [Curious and turns to Ron then back to Hagrid] Nicholas Flamel?
Hagrid: [Mumbles to himself] I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that. [He then leaves, mumbling to himself "I should have not said that"]

Fred and George shared a furtive glance across the room and wordlessly agreed that any secret they had would be confided in Hagrid. Their eyes met, and in that moment, an unspoken understanding formed between the mischievous twins.

Mia caught sight of their exchange and, recognizing the mischief in their eyes, she shook her head with a wry smile. "Boys," she warned.

Mia: Nicholas Flamel. [Turns to Hermione] Who's Nicholas Flamel?
Hermione: I don't know. [Shakes her head]

"Ladies and gentlemen, you've just witnessed Hermione not knowing something for the first time," Ron chuckled.

The students, familiar with Hermione's usual knowledge, and the adults, looked at her in disbelief.

"I've never heard you say that before," Ginny said, surprised.

"Think about how lost we were when it happened," Mia added. "We really relied on her."

Ron nodded in agreement.

They all realized how much they relied on Hermione's expertise.

"They're not gonna stop until they know, you know," Dean said knowingly, observing the exchange between the trio in the scene. His words elicited a shared smile among the three friends, and they let out a small laugh in response.

Seamus, glancing at Dean with a smirk, added, "It's like they've got a seventh sense for secrets."

It is now Christmas at Hogwarts, with snow falling. Hagrid is dragging a massive Christmas tree to the castle. Hermione walks to the Great Hall entrance with her luggage and wearing a scarf as the ghosts are singing Christmas songs.

Mia looked out at the screen, taking in the breathtaking sight of snow falling gently over the Hogwarts grounds. The wintry scene never failed to captivate her, especially during the Christmas season, when the castle was adorned with festive decorations and the warmth of the holiday spirit.

"So beautiful," Mia breathed in wonder, her eyes shining with appreciation as she watched the snowflakes swirling in the air.

Luna smiled at Mia's reaction. "It's one of my favorite things about Hogwarts at this time of year. The whole place just feels so magical, doesn't it?"

Ghosts: Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Ring the Hogwart bell. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas... [Hermione looks from the massive Christmas tree as Flitwick uses his wand to put another ornament on the tree to Mia and Ron as they play Chess and walks towards them.]

"I've never seen anyone play Wizard's chess before." A first year student said.

Ron turned to the first-year student with a friendly smile. "You've never seen Wizard's chess? Well, we'll have to introduce you to the game then! It's a lot of fun, though you might want to make sure your chess pieces are in good spirits before you start."

The first-year nodded eagerly, his curiosity piqued by the prospect of learning the intricacies of the game from a group of older students. "I'd love to learn! It sounds exciting," he replied, his eyes widening with anticipation.

Mia, who had been silently observing the exchange, spoke up, her voice warm and welcoming. "You should definitely join us sometime. It can get quite intense, but it's an exhilarating experience." She gave the first-year a reassuring smile.

Hermione smiled at them.

Mia: Knight to E5. [The Knight moves to its destination. Hermione walks up behind Mia.]
Ron: [With a smug face] Queen to E5 [Hermione watches as Ron's queen goes over to Mia's knight and whacks the knight with her chair. Ron grins.]
Hermione: [With a shocked face] That's totally barbaric!

The reaction of those who had never witnessed the intensity of a Wizard's chess match was palpable. Gasps and murmurs filled the room as they observed the strategic and at times intense nature of the game. The animated movements of the chess pieces, their battles and sacrifices, showed the uninitiated just how immersive and, to some, even daunting Wizard's chess could be.

Ron: That's wizard's chess. [Looks over to Hermione] I see you've packed.
Hermione: I see you haven't.
Ron: Change of plans, my parents decided to go to Romania to visit my brother, Charlie. He's studying dragons there.
Hermione: Good. You can help Mia, then. She's going to go and look in the library for information on Nicholas Flamel.
Ron: We've looked a hundred times!
Hermione: [Leans over on the table closer to Ron and Mia] Not in the restricted section. Happy Christmas. [Hermione leaves Ron and Mia]

Ginny regarded Hermione with a mixture of disbelief and amusement, her expression saying it all. "Did you really tell them to break the rules?" Her tone held a hint of playful accusation, though her raised eyebrows and slight smile betrayed her more lighthearted intentions.

Mia, her eyes wide with a mix of astonishment and amusement, couldn't suppress a small giggle at the unexpected turn of events. "I don't think Hermione meant to, you know, tell us to break rules intentionally."

Hermione, her embarrassment subsiding as she saw the humor of the situation, tried to explain herself, "I didn't mean it like that! I just thought it might be worth considering what the rules entail and..." Her voice trailed off as she realized that her explanation wasn't doing much to alleviate the growing amusement in the room.

Ron: [Looks at Mia] I think we've had a bad influence on her.

the Weasley siblings added their own brand of good-natured teasing and playful banter, their infectious energy adding to the lightheartedness of the moment.

Fred and George exchanged knowing grins, clearly relishing the opportunity to poke good-natured fun at Hermione's atypical slip of judgment. "Wait, Hermione, are we witnessing a rebellion in the making?" George quipped with a mischievous glint in his eye.

Ron, wiping tears of laughter from the corners of his eyes, rolled his gaze skyward at his brothers' jesting but couldn't hide the smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "I think we've finally broken Hermione - she's turning to the dark side!"

[It is now Christmas morning. Ron is waking Mia up]
Ron: [From downstairs] Mia, wake up! Come on, Mia, wake up! [Mia puts on her glasses and runs out of bed. She then looks down at Ron]
Ron: [Looking up at Mia] Happy Christmas, Mia.
Mia: Happy Christmas, Ron. [Mia notices Ron's sweater] What are you wearing?
Ron: [Looks down at sweater] Oh. My mum made it. [Looking back up at Mia] It looks like you've got one too.
Mia: I-I've got presents?

"You've never gotten any Christmas presents before?" Narcissa asked Mia.

The room fell into a hushed stillness as Narcissa's question hung in the air. Mia's gaze momentarily faltered, her eyes reflecting the faint shadow of past sorrows. "I... I never received Christmas presents," she admitted softly, her voice carrying the weight of unspoken, bittersweet memories.

Narcissa's expression softened with empathy, her features conveying a gentle understanding. "I see," she murmured, her tone infused with compassion. "The joy of receiving gifts, especially during the holidays, is a cherished tradition for many in the magical world. I'm sorry you didn't experience that." Her words carried a warmth that sought to envelop Mia in a comforting embrace.

Mia's gaze met Narcissa's, a poignant blend of wistfulness and gratitude shimmering in her eyes. "It's okay," she replied, managing a small, brave smile. "I've found joy in other ways, and being at Hogwarts has given me a chance to experience the magic of the holiday season in a whole new light."

Ron: [Nodding] Yeah! [Mia runs down the staircase to see her presents]
Ron: There they are. [Mia sees a note on the present and opens it, reading it out]
Mia: "Your father left this in my possession before he died. It is time it was returned to you. Use it well."

Neville's inquisitive voice cut through the lighthearted banter. "Use it well?" he asked, furrowing his brow as he pondered the implications of the gift.

Seamus shivered dramatically, earning an amused glance from Dean. "Why does that give me the chills?" he mused aloud, his mind already spinning tales of potential mischief and adventure.

"Because you're cold, mate," Dean retorted with a good-natured shake of his head, his playful tone cutting through the air. Laughter followed, filling the room

[Mia looks over to Ron, who shrugs his shoulders Mia then proceeds to open the remaining of her present. She pulls out a blanket-like object]
Ron: What is it?
Mia: [Looking down at the object] It's some kind of cloak.
Ron: Well, let's see, then. Put it on. [Mia then wraps the cloak around her shoulders, making her body invisible]

"Um, Mia, we can borrow that right?" George began, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

"We're friends. I mean friends borrow from each other right?" Fred added, flashing a charming grin.

"Absolutely not!"

The prospect of the mischievous twins having access to an invisibility cloak was more than they could bear.

Mia smiled at the twins, her eyes dancing with amusement. "Normally, I would be happy to let you use it, bur No!"

They groaned.

Sirius observed the interaction with a grin, recalling his own adventures with an invisibility cloak. He couldn't help but feel pleased that Mia had received such a special gift, secretly hoping that she would put it to good use in a few harmless pranks.

Ron: Whoa!
Mia: [Looks down at her invisible body] My body's gone!
Ron: I know what that is. That's an invisibility cloak!
Mia: I'm invisible? [Mia spins around, looking down at herself]

Chuckles filled the room as Mia grappled with the concept of her own invisibility. Her wide-eyed surprise and flustered gestures drew amusement from the gathered crowd, sparking a symphony of laughter that echoed throughout the space. The lighthearted moment brought a sense of joy and camaraderie, uniting the watchers in shared amusement as they witnessed their friend's comical reaction to the unexpected turn of events.

Mia: [Now also looking down at the note] There was no name. It just said, "Use it well."
[Late that night, a lantern and hand appear, but nothing else. The ensemble walks through the dark library and into the Restricted Section. The lamp is put down, and the cloak removed, revealing to be Mia who searches the bookshelves.]

"That would be creepy if someone caught you." Ron remarked, his tone bemused as he tried to rationalize the strange sight.

"Yeah, I would be shitting my pants if I saw this at night," Fred added, a tinge of humor lacing his words as he imagined the prank-worthy potential of an invisible hand roaming the castle.

"Fred, language!" Mrs. Weasley interjected firmly, her motherly reprimand punctuating the lively banter with a touch of fond exasperation.

Mia: Famous fire eaters. 15th-Century Fiends. Flamel. Nicholas Flamel. Where are you? [Mia picks up a book and opens it. A man's face appears from between the pages, which screams madly and loudly. Mia immediately slams the book shut and puts it back.]

The sudden shriek of a man's face screaming from between the pages of the book jolted the entire hall into startled surprise. A collective gasp rippled through the room, followed by a cacophony of yelps and nervous laughter as the unexpected spectacle unfolded before their eyes.

Filch: Who's there?! [Mia whips around and quickly grabs her cloak, causing the lamp to fall and shatter.] I know you're in there. You can't hide.

"You have the worst of luck," Pansy remarked quietly, her voice carrying a note of slight sympathy as she directed her gaze toward her

Mia looked at Pansy, her expression a mix of surprise.

"You have no idea."

[Mia puts on her cloak and creeps around Filch.] Who is it? Show yourself! [Mia runs from the room, breathing heavily. She exits into the hall, where Mrs. Norris, who meows and begins to follow her.]

"She can't see you right?"

Mia nodded her head.

[Mia runs around a corner, just as Snape and Quirrell appear. Snape pushes Quirrell into the wall.] Quirrell: Severus... I-I thought...
Snape: You don't want me as your enemy, Quirrell.

"Of course, you would be listened," Snape sneered, his tone dripping with disdain.

"Just my luck," Mia smiled wryly but her eyes betrayed the unease she felt in Snape's presence.

Sirius, his eyes flashing with barely concealed anger, stepped forward. "Why are you threatening that poor man?" he barked, his concern evident in his tone.

"Poor man he says," Ron snorted, shaking his head in disbelief at Sirius' choice of words.

Quirrell: I don't know w-what you m-mean.
Snape: You know perfectly well what I mean. [Snape senses something who causes Mia to stop breathing. Snape reaches out to grab something but doesn't. He whips his finger back in front of Quirrell's face.] We'll have another chat soon. When you've had time to decide where your loyalties lie.

The others in the room exchanged puzzled glances, clearly taken aback by Snape's behavior. They wondered why he would threaten, grab, and hurt an apparently innocent professor like Quirrell. Snape avoided their gazes, his eyes fixed ahead, refusing to offer any explanation.

[A door opens and then it closes. On the other side, there is a vast, empty room that has a large mirror in the center known as the Mirror of Erised. Mia appears and walks over to the mirror. In the reflection, She sees two people appear]

"Oh." A heavy silence fell on Mia as she stared at the screen, her eyes filled with tears.

"What's wrong, Mia?" asked Remus, concerned.

"It's the Mirror of Erised," Hermione explained, his voice tinged with sadness.

"What's that?" asked Draco, puzzled.

"It's a mirror that shows the deepest desires of your heart," Dumbledore added, casting a glance at Mia.

Mia looked away from the screen, her gaze distant. "A mirror that you never want to look at," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

[who are Mia's late parents, James and Lily Potter.]

"Oh my!"

As James and Lily appeared in the Mirror of Erised, the room fell into a stunned silence. Mia's eyes widened in disbelief, her hand reaching up to cover her mouth. Ron expression softened, and he reached out instinctively as if to touch the apparitions.

Remus gasped, her hand flying to her chest in shock, his eyes widened, and he exchanged a surprised glance with Sirius.

The air in the room seemed to hold its breath as the weight of the moment settled over them all.

Mia: Mum? [Lily nods and smiles] Dad? [James nods and smiles. Mia reaches out to touch them but only gets the mirror. Then, her mother puts her hand on her shoulder. She puts her own hand on her own shoulders, as if trying to feel her there.]

Remus and Sirius stood side by side, tears glistening in their eyes as they gazed upon the scene before them. The hall was filled with mournful faces, each bearing the burden of their own sorrow. The air was heavy with the weight of collective grief, a tangible reminder of the loss they had all endured. Words failed to capture the depth of their pain as they stood in silent solidarity, finding solace in knowing that they were not alone in their sadness.

Back in the girl's dormitory in Gryffindor
Mia: There's something you've got to see. Now, come on! [Back in the room. Mia and Hermione appear as if magically and Mia runs to the mirror.]
Mia: Come on! Come! Come look, it's my parents!
Hermione: I only see us.
Mia: [moves over] Look in properly. Go on, stand there. There. You see them, don't you? That's my dad.
Hermione: Oh, that's me! Only me passing the OWLS. oh, And Merlin! I'm a headmistress too! I look good. Mia, do you think this mirror shows the future?
Mia: How can it? Both my parents are dead. [Mia smiles sadly.]

"I did apologize!" Hermione said, preempting any reproach from the others.

As the group observed the scene, a profound sense of sadness and compassion filled the room. They couldn't help but feel deep empathy for their fellow student, who had endured so much and seemed burdened by loneliness and loss.

Reflecting on their own past interactions with her, they realized the extent to which they had misunderstood and mistreated her. They remembered the fear and animosity they had harbored towards her, unaware of the struggles she faced as a young girl.

In their hearts, they knew that she deserved better than the prejudices and mistreatment that she had endured from them. They recognized that they had fallen short in their understanding, and that she, in her vulnerability, had borne the brunt of their ignorance.

It became evident to them that she was more than just a misunderstood and overlooked figure—she was a little, lonely, lost girl who deserved compassion and acceptance. They recognized that they didn't deserve her kindness and resilience.

[The next night, Mia is back in the room where the mirror is, gazing longingly at the reflection where her parents are in. Dumbledore appears far behind her]

"Why you returned?" Draco asked a dumb question.

Draco's question was met with incredulous glances from Hermione and Ron, their expressions reflecting their disbelief at his seemingly insensitive remark. Mia's eyes welled up with tears as the weight of her emotions hung heavily in the air, her vulnerability palpable as she shared the profound impact of finally meeting her parents in person.

"I miss them so much," Mia's voice trembled as she struggled to contain her emotions. "It feels like there's a part of me that's incomplete," she confessed, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.

Draco's response was measured as he nodded slowly, the gravity of Mia's words resonating with him in an unexpected way. Despite his inability to fully comprehend her pain, a fleeting sense of empathy flickered in his eyes.

Hermione and Ron, their expressions softened by empathy, reached out to Mia, their hands offering gentle reassurance and solace. "We understand, Mia," Ron's voice conveyed a tenderness that provided a comforting embrace. "It's perfectly normal to miss them. They were your parents, and their absence leaves a profound void."

The weight of Mia's grief wove a bittersweet tapestry

Dumbledore: Back again, Mia? [Mia turns around and stands up.] I see that you, like so many before you have discovered the delights of the Mirror of Erised. I trust by now you realize what it does. Let me give you a clue. The happiest man on earth would look into the mirror and see only himself, exactly as he
Mia: So then, it shows us what we want. Whatever we want.
Dumbledore: [whilst looking at the mirror] Yes. And no. It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest most desperate desires of our hearts. And I must ask you not to go looking for it again. It does not do to dwell on dreams, Mia, and forget to live. [Mia looks back at the mirror, knowing that Dumbledore is right.]

Sirius and Remus shared an apprehensive glance, hoping that Mia wouldn't stumble upon the Mirror again. While it appeared innocuous on the surface, Dumbledore's warning had emphasized its potential dangers. They knew the allure of the Mirror's promise could be enticing, but the ramifications of becoming fixated on unattainable desires could be perilous. As they considered the Mirror's enigmatic properties, they silently prayed that Mia would steer clear of its bewitching allure.

It is snowy in daytime, Mia is out in a main courtyard, bundled up, with Hedwig on her arm. She stops and she lifts off, soaring away into the sky. As the time passed when she returns, it is now spring time.
