Lauren stood there with both Isabel and Brittany. She smiled a bit as Isabel talked to the two of them while they stood in front of a game. She looked over to see Hazel, who notices her and smiles back at her before turning to talk to PJ and Josie. Isabel laughed at something, causing Lauren to snap back to reality.
She looks over to Brittany and points at the drink in Brittany's hand "Can i have a sip?" Brittany nods and hands her the cup. Lauren takes a tiny sip of it before handing it back to Brittany. They watched how Jeff ran out in the crowd with a guy talking on the speakers. He walked over to Isabel and gave her a kiss while Lauren scoffs.
He was only there for a minute before running off again when a girl asked him to sign...something. Isabel starts walking over to PJ, Josie, and Hazel. Lauren and Brittany following behind her. "Hey, Brittany!" PJ says. "PJ," Lauren looked PJ up and down, she wasn't really sure what she thought of PJ. She knew Josie and Hazel were nice but PJ never said a word to her.
"I am loving all the holes in your pants."
"Thanks. You look like a, little dutch boy."
"Thank you."
Hazel was behind PJ and Josie when she smiled and waved at Lauren. Lauren smiled back at her, waving as well. "I like your dress." Hazel mouths to her. Lauren could feel her face get red as she looked down with a smile on her face. She was wearing a floral dress with a leather jacket and mary janes. Laurens dad had told her it was a dumb outfit, but just Hazel saying she liked it made Lauren a bit more happy.
They both looked at PJ when they heard her speak again "So, Britt, can i call you Britt?" "I'd prefer if you'd just...call me my name." Lauren covers her mouth in an attempt to not start laughing. "Britt-a-nay." "No, not that." Lauren managed to stop herself from laughing and she crossed her arms.
"Brittany, are you thinking of riding the ferris wheel tonight?" PJ asks. "I wasn't. I was going on the puke and duke." Lauren looks at Brittany but doesn't say anything. "I need a pull trick." Both Hazel and Lauren knew this was when PJ was gonna embarrass herself somehow so Lauren stopped listening. Lauren watched as PJ tossed the cotton candy away and Hazel made an offended face.
Lauren turns to Isabel and whispers in her ear "I'll be back." Isabel nods and Lauren motions for Hazel to come with her before walking away and Hazel following her, no questions asked. Lauren takes Hazel by her hand and leads her into a line. "Laurie, what are we doing?" Hazel asks her.
"We're getting cotton candy since PJ threw yours away." Hazel smiles a bit and when she speaks she has a hint of excitement in her voice "Really?" Lauren nods. After a few seconds they get to the front of the line and Lauren looks at Hazel "The uh blue one." Lauren smiles and takes her money out. The man at the stand hands Lauren the cotton candy, Lauren hands it to Hazel and the money to the man. "Thank you." She says before both her and Hazel walk away from the stand.
After about ten minutes, Hazel already finished the cotton candy and was walking with Lauren to her car. "You sure you don't want me to drive you?" Lauren asks once they get to her car. "Im sure." Lauren nods and gives hazel a small hug with a quick kiss on the cheek "Bye, Hazel."
"Bye, Laurie."

"Hey, kiddos. Welcome back to class."
Mr G had said and Lauren looked up from her book. Lauren leans in a bit to Hazel "Do you have a pencil?" Hazel nods, handing her a pencil. It turned out to be the only pencil she had cause after Lauren took it she could hear Hazel ask someone for a pencil as well. "What happened to yours?" Josie asks Hazel "I gave it to Laurie."
"Laurie? You mean Lauren?" Hazel looks at PJ "Same thing." Lauren smiles a bit. "Today i got a special lesson for you." They all turn their heads when Jeff dramatically comes through the classroom door with crutches. "Shit Jeff, come on you weren't hit that bad." Jeff flips Lauren off and goes to his seat.
"You good man?" Mr J asks him. Everyone was talking over the teacher so Lauren couldn't really hear a thing. She decided to just ask Hazel for the notes after class, Hazel always helps her with it anyways. "Hey, Hey. Hey, you, overall bitch." Jeff tried to whisper but he got the attention of way more people other than Josie.
"This is you." He slams one of the glass things against the table and it shatters. Lauren jumps at the sound of it breaking and she turns to look at him but Mr J speaks up "God damn it Jeff! What the fuck--" Jeff uses one of the pieces of glass to act out slitting a throat and Laurens eyes widen.
"You couldn't make that analogy with your fists?" both Mr J and Lauren say at the same time. The school speaker goes off and Laurens dad, the principal, speaks into it. "This is principal Meyers with an important huntington update, so listen to this girl." Lauren rests her head on her hand, she didn't really care about the announcements so she didn't listen. It was gonna be dumb anyways.
The bell rings and Lauren looks up confused "Seriously? Thats it? Thats class?" PJ says, this was probably the only time she would agree with PJ. Lauren stood up and tossed her bag over her shoulder. Her head quickly turned when Jeff pushed Hazel and Hazel had ran into Laurens desk. Lauren rolls her eyes at Jeff and pushes her desk back in place.
When Lauren and Hazel walks out the door Lauren turns to Hazel "Heres your pencil." She tries handing Hazel the pencil back but Hazel shakes her head. "Keep it, its yours." Lauren smiles a bit "You sure?" Hazel nods. "Thank you, you're an angel." She told Hazel who smiled a bit "You're welcome, Laurie."
Lauren goes to walk away but turns to Hazel again "So Josie beat up Jeff?" Hazel shrugs "I think. Thats what everyones saying, she hasn't said what happened." It was quiet for a few seconds before Hazel continued "You want me to walk you to your next class?" Lauren smiles "I was actually gonna head to the library--" Lauren looks around "Do you wanna come with me? Its an easy way to skip."
Hazel nods "Mhm, yea i'd love to."
"Ok, follow me."
Lauren starts walking off and Hazel follows her. As they're walking they hear in the speakers again "Excuse me, can the ugly, untalented gays please report to the principals office?" Lauren rolls her eyes "Guess thats PJ and Josie." Lauren smiles a bit and looks at Hazel before agreeing with her. "Yup, guess you're right."

Hazel and Lauren sat in the library, Lauren had one earbud in as she read a book. Hazel wasn't even doing anything, just admiring Lauren. "So, um, can you tell me a bit..about yourself?" Hazel asks with her voice soft and almost at a whisper. Lauren looks up at her and folds the corner of the page to mark what page she was on before closing the book and placing it on her lap.
"Like what?" Lauren asks while she pauses her spotify. Hazel glanced at Laurens phone, reading 'The Blonde, TV Girl' on Laurens spotify. "What about your family? And your dad?" Hazel suggests and Lauren thinks for a minute. "Well im adopted, i guess."
Hazel listens carefully, like she was actually paying attention. "Its just me and my dad, my birth parents were good its just that they didn't have enough money to raise me so at the age of five i started going in and out of foster homes until i was 14, when my dad--or the principal took me in. It's kinda boring living with him but he's trying his best i mean i'll give him that."
Hazel nods "No siblings? Grandparents? Aunts or uncles?" Lauren shakes her head "I mean im sure i do but he doesn't really talk about them much." Hazel looks at the book in Laurens lap "What are you reading?" Lauren looks down at the book "Don't Go To Sleep. Im not sure what its actually about, it had a good cover so i bought it."
Hazel smiles a bit "Can i read the background?" Lauren nods and hands her the book. Hazel takes the book and flips it over so she can read the back "Wow, very interesting. Can i borrow it when you finish it?" Hazel asks and Lauren looks back up at her "Of course you can. Hey, do you have the notes from math last week?"
Hazel nods and looks through her bag before pulling out a piece of paper with math notes on it for Lauren to copy. Hazel rested her head on her hands as she watched Lauren copy the notes "You have to start listening to the teachers, you know?"
"I know. Its just hard when they talk about the most boring things ever." Hazel nods in agreement. "Makes sense." Hazel says with a smile on her face. Lauren was focusing on copying the notes but Hazel was basically admiring her. Laurens hair that was tucked behind her ears fell a bit, covering up her face. Hazel reached out and tucked it back behind her ear "You're pretty, you know that?"
Lauren looks over at Hazel with a faint blush on her cheeks and a tiny smile. "Lots of people say that, i never believe it though." Hazels face softens, how could she not believe it? "I always thought you were the most beautiful girl i've ever seen." Hazels voice was soft as she spoke, she meant every word of it.
"Really?" Hazel nods "Who wouldn't?" Lauren smiles and hands Hazel back the notes "I finished." The bell that indicates its time for lunch rings and Lauren speaks up "I should go. If im not with Brittany or Isabel soon they're gonna freak out. Tell my dad or something." Lauren says as she puts her book in her bag and zips her bag up. "I should go as well, i have to get to PJ and Josie." Lauren nods and starts to walk away.
"Bye, Angel."
"Bye Laurie."
