The ship was shaking which caused the elite stormtroopers to try hard in holding their ground. But when it came to fighting against their former lord and you it was almost an unfair fight. The stormtroopers circled you which caused Anakin to put his back to you and you to do the same to him. Oddly, it almost felt right to do. When he swung his saber it was like you felt it flow through you. When you did the same he felt the same pull.
You saw what he did and vice versa. This was absolutely incredible! Was this what the true ability of the dyad is? Being lost in thought Anakin spun his lightsaber around in a spin and turned his back to cut right through the stormtrooper heading your way. You grabbed Anakin's thigh and swung your saber as well and cut through the next. The flow of the force between you two was almost making you both feel a bit drunk. Anakin was smiling and enjoying himself and you couldn't deny that you where too.
"If you two are almost done in there hurry up!" Obi-wan said through the comlink on your belts.
"Right" Anakin replied
He held his hand out and thrusted the rest of the stormtroopers out of your way. He took your hand and held it with a life like grip.
"Stay close, love. We need to leave before they —"
The ship shook violently and you ended up being pushed into him. Anakin looked angry as he grabbed the comlink.
"Obi-wan what the fuck is going on out there? I said to give us enough time to escape before hitting the weak point"
"I haven't given the order! Who the heck is doing this?!"
Soon the captain from the meeting room began to speak. "That would be me. Everyone wants this over quickly. I intend to do so"
"You can't do that with us on the ship!" You tired to sound not as angry. But you couldn't help it.
Anakin gripped your hand as he tried not to break the com. "Don't fire there again. We need to leave"
"Sorry Vader. I don't believe for a second you've changed. You and that bitch killed many good people. Lots of us came to an agreement that you two need to die with the empire" the captain turned his com off
Anakin was growing more angry. You could feel it through your dyad link. You couldn't blame him. But you had to think straight. You grabbed his hand with your free one. He looked to you and his eyes softened. Almost like he came to the realization you where still here.
"Anakin! Y/n! I can't get them to stop my ship is right outside the Death Star! Hurry!" Obi-wan implored us.
"Ani! We need to keep calm and make it to Obi-wan! Then we can handle the captain"
He took a breath and nodded "and dealing with him I will"
He kept a hold of your hand as he ran with you to the hanger you had landed at. However, the ship started to tilt and you and he fell into the wall. Anakin grabbed the doorframe with his robotic hand as you missed your side by an inch.
"Ah!"
"Y/n!"
Anakin reached out to you. When you where out of reach and heading to the open hanger room he used the force and pulled you back to him. He quickly wrapped his free arm around you. You held onto him looking down. You noticed Obi-wan's ship right under you.
"Ani!!"
He looked down and noticed Obi-wan opening the ramp.
"Let go Anakin! Both of you need to fall into my ship!"
"Are you crazy?! We'd freeze to death in space before we get in there"
"Well, not really. It would hurt, sure. But we'd live and recover" anakin spoke weighing his options
"That's not helping Anakin" you retorted
Obi-wan shook his head hearing Anakin over the com.
"Believe in the force y/n. You and Anakin can make it. I believe in you two"
You let out a shaky breath and looked into Anakin's eyes. He locked his eyes with yours and smirked. "He loved giving damn speeches. Frustrating part is, I believe him"
"I'll only go if you go with me"
Anakin watched you for a moment. His arm got tighter around you. "I won't let you go"
You two got closer and took deep breaths. Anakin kissed you and you held him as close as you could. You felt him let go of the doorframe. You felt yourself falling with him. The sounds of metal crashing, ships blowing up around you, the sounds of blasters hitting the outside of the ship. Your mind went into a flash back of how you had met Anakin once again in this ship. You hated what this ship represented. You truly did, but, you couldn't deny you where so happy how it was the place you got to meet the man of your dreams.
You felt yourself enter space and like you had thought you stopped falling and floated around. But that's when you felt someone force pulling you to Obi-wan's ship. You didn't stop kissing Anakin and kept your eyes closed. Once you felt yourself enter the ship and the gravity make you two land on your butts Obi-wan was standing before you two.
Parting the kiss you and Anakin smiled at each other. You looked to see Obi-wan smiling proudly at you both. His hands on his hips.
"You two are brilliant together"
He told the pilot to get the ship out of the way. You, Anakin, and Obi-wan went to a window and watched as the Death Star blew up and was no more. Anakin swallowed thickly as you gripped his hand.
"We did it, Ani" you smiled brightly
"I never would've thought I'd have left that place"
Obi-wan got behind you two and placed his arms over you two. This caused you to giggle and Anakin looked a bit annoyed. You could see through his façade and elbowed him. The annoyed face turned into a smirk and then to a chuckling smile. You wanted that captain to pay but right now it was a victory for the rebels.

Once back at the base on Naboo Anakin and you where seething. Obi-wan and Yoda where the first to confront the captain and the few who wanted to disobey orders. Yoda had them in cuffs since what they did was treason. Turning on their own and trying to destroy two very high valued people. Anakin wanted to rip these people apart for the fact they tried to get you both killed.
"Why didn't you listen?!" Obi-wan argued
The captain scoffed "why would we want lord vader here! He has killed many! She is no better!"
"Changed, they have. Irresponsible, you where" Yoda added in
The crew who helped the captain laughed. Saying things like 'they haven't changed' or 'yeah right' some even spit on the ground. You couldn't handle this anymore and just looked away. Obi-wan shook his head. Anger over his face which was a rare scene. He had given them the harshest punishment. They where to be sent to Hoth and to freeze to death in the cold. They'd be given no gear and no weapons. So the planets nature would give them the punishment. Yoda who you noticed might not enjoy this either, but agreed. Anakin was shocked Obi-wan was giving a punishment like that.
He thought obi-wan would just slap their hands. But he felt happy his master was standing up for you both and actually doing something about it. It wasn't like when he stood before the council before. Where he felt so alone. He now felt like he was apart of something.

After having dinner and a hot steamy night of passion with Anakin you had been asleep. Weirdly you had been dreaming such a real dream. You could swear anything you touched felt so real. Walking down the metal hallway you knew exactly where you where. The Death Star. You didn't understand why you where dreaming of this place. But you felt a tug in the force behind you and you thought you'd see Anakin there. But what you saw was a man standing in a large black suit. You gasped and backed up.
The breathing of this man was like a robot. He had a black cape on and as he took a step to you, you took a step back. You where in absolute fear. Who was this man? Why where you back on the Death Star? You felt the cold metal press against your back and he stood right in front of you.
"Y/n"
The way he said your name through his robotic voice. It gave you a shiver. Your e/c eyes looked into those black lenses where his eyes would be.
"You saved me from this possibility. Protect Anakin. He will turn into me if you die"
You felt him touch your cheek which made you flinch.
"Who — are you?" You finally asked
"I am — apart of Anakin Skywalker. I will always be there. No matter how small. But as long as your here. I will remain dormant"
You relaxed only a little bit as he tilted his head. "You doubt me. Let me show you what could've happened. Between Obi-wan and I"
You blinked and you and this man stood on the side of a rocky area. Soon the man in the same suit was there. Fighting to breath and his red lightsaber ignited. He was on his knees. Before him as Obi-wan leaning down to watch what was going on. When you tried to walk to obi-wan the man from the previous area still in his dark suit held your hand. Not in an angry manner, more so a tender one. To keep you in place to watch.
As obi-wan looked to the injured masked man he held his saber. "Anakin..."
You froze hearing Obi-wan say this. That's when the injured man stood up. You saw only the part obi-wan had destroyed on his mask. Showing a very different person. Like he had been burnt before, but they had healed.
"Anakin is gone. I am what remains"
Your eyes widened hearing this. You looked up to the masked man beside you. Was this...a possible future Anakin could've had? Was the force showing this to you so you'd know just how close he always is to the dark side.
"I'm sorry." Obi-wans eyes where filled with tears "I'm sorry, Anakin. For all of it"
You looked from Obi-wan and then to Anakin who stood before him. A blue hue on his face. You couldn't feel a tug from this Anakin like you could the one beside you. Was this what it would be like to lose the dyad link completely? This emptiness he must feel is painful even for you to bare. As you tried again to go to him the one who brought you here stopped you again. Your eyes where just as watery as Obi-wans
"I am not your failure, Obi-wan" he looked to obi-wan and you just watched him as did this dreams Obi-wan "you...didn't kill...Anakin Skywalker. I did"
You felt a tear go down your cheek as you gripped this man's hand. "I want to leave. Anakin I want to leave!"
Finally the masked man looked down at you. Almost like he was finally acknowledging you because you called him by his actual name.
"Stay with him. Protect him and his heart. So he won't be in this type of world"
As he spoke this through his robotic voice. You heard Obi-wan speak behind you.
"Goodbye, Darth"
You looked into the eyes of the helmet. So this was Darth Vader. What could've been. He held you close and placed one hand on your cheek.
"It's so wonderful to see you again, y/n. I've missed you"
You felt another tear go down your cheek as you placed your hands on the masks cheeks. "Anakin..."
As you heard the other masked man shout you flinched.
"OBI-WAN!!!"
After that shout you gasped hard jolting yourself up. Anakin being a light sleeper woke up with you and was ready to fight anyone in your room. You breathed hard but he turned on the light.
"Y/n...what happened?"
He spoke so softly but you finally blinked a few times. Your eyes filled with water. You turned to him and touched his face, his hair, his arms, his chest and abs. He looked worried and confused. He didn't know what was going on.
"Anakin I... I had a dream of possibly—. I won't let it happen. I will protect you"
He rubbed your cheek and held you close to him. "Y/n. You protect me by being here. Nothing will happen."
You held him close and tight. Shivering at the thought of him in that suit. Alone and cold. Missing you being by his side. Not having the dyad connection and feeling his very essence. The force was strange. But maybe it wanted you to always know what could be.
"Did you want to talk about it?"
You smiled and laid your head on his chest. "Yeah. I'd love too."
