Inside the black van, as they sped away from the tumultuous scene, Hussain turned to Arvan, concern etched across his face. "What happened to Maximiliano?" he inquired, his voice filled with worry.

Arvan, still keeping an eye on Maximiliano, who lay unconscious in the back, replied, "He was overcome by rage during the battle. It exhausted him, and he collapsed. Isabela helped him recover, but he's still weak."

Hussain nodded, understanding the challenges they had faced. "We'll get him the help he needs."

As the van continued its journey through the night, Arvan seized the opportunity to ask Hussain about his own findings. "What did your family tell you about the dagger?"

Hussain's expression turned serious. "My family believes that the key to unraveling the Lupus Daemonium's plan lies with the Mohawk tribe. In the Mohawk reservation, there resides a Lycan shaman, a guardian of ancient knowledge. He might have the answers we seek."

Arvan's curiosity was piqued. "The Mohawk tribe? We'll need to reach out to them and find this shaman. He may hold the key to stopping the Lupus Daemonium's dark plot."

The journey ahead was filled with uncertainty, but their shared determination and the knowledge they had gathered were guiding them toward a path that might lead to answers, allies, and the salvation of their kind.

Inside the van, as the night journeyed on, Seklani turned to Hussain with a curious expression. "Hussain, who's the driver?" he inquired.

Hussain smiled and gestured to the person behind the wheel. "This is my cousin, Zaid Mohamed. He's helping us out tonight."

Zaid, the driver, offered a friendly nod and spoke up, "Nice to meet you all." His voice was warm and welcoming as he glanced at Arvan, his pack, and Sahil. "I'm Zaid, and I'm Hussain's cousin. I'll make sure we get to where we need to be safely."

Arvan and the others acknowledged Zaid's introduction with nods and expressions of gratitude. In the midst of uncertainty and danger, the bond between their group, including Hussain's family, remained a source of support and strength as they embarked on a journey filled with mystery and peril.

Sahil, ever inquisitive, leaned forward and directed a question at Zaid. "Are you a Lycan too?"

Zaid's eyes met Sahil's in the rearview mirror, and he nodded. "Yes, I am. Our family has its share of Lycans."

The revelation piqued Sahil's interest. "And where are you from, Zaid?"

Zaid's gaze shifted back to the road as he answered, "I was born and raised in Egypt, but I've been here in Canada for quite some time."

Meanwhile, Elle leaned over to check on the unconscious Maximiliano, ensuring he was resting comfortably. She kept a watchful eye on her pack mate as the van continued its journey through the night.

Tristan, seated nearby, inquired of Hussain, "How long until we reach the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation?"

Hussain glanced at his GPS. "It's approximately 4 hours and 2 minutes from here. We'll need to make good time to reach our destination."

As the journey continued, their conversation was interspersed with shared details, plans, and the anticipation of what awaited them at the  St. Regis Mohawk Reservation. With every passing moment, the mysteries surrounding the Lupus Daemonium's plot deepened, and the urgency of their mission grew more pressing.

As the van continued its journey into the early hours of the morning, Arvan glanced at his smartwatch. The digital display read 3:45 am, and he couldn't help but feel the weight of the dwindling time. The urgency of their mission weighed heavily on his mind.

Sahil, noticing Arvan's reaction, asked, "What's the time, Arvan?"

Arvan couldn't hide the concern in his voice as he replied, "It's 3:45 am."

Sahil's eyes widened, and his brows furrowed in disbelief as an expletive escaped his lips. "Bloody Hell," he swore, trying his best to stifle his surprise. The hours were slipping away, and the pressure to unravel the Lupus Daemonium's plot and find the Lycan shaman was mounting with every passing minute. Time was of the essence, and they had no room for delay.

As the van carried Arvan, his pack, and Sahil  further on their journey, an eerie noise echoed through the night, drawing the attention of the pack. Their curious gazes turned upward to the roof of the vehicle, where a grotesque, hulking, bat-like creature had landed. Its massive wings cast a shadow over the van, and its presence was chilling.

The creature, determined to breach the van's roof, unleashed a savage attack. Its sharp claws slashed at the roof, leaving a deep scratch mark, and it widened the breach, trying to force its way inside.

Hussain, reacting swiftly to the imminent threat, reached for his Khopesh, a curved blade that gleamed in the dim light. With a quick and precise motion, he thrust the weapon through the hole the creature had created, targeting its eye. The blade struck true, and the creature let out a deafening screech of agony and fury, its eye grievously wounded. It took flight, retreating to recover from the injury.

Maximiliano, who had awakened during the commotion, swore in Spanish, his voice laced with shock and fear. Turning to Isabela, he asked, "¿Qué diablos es eso?"

The van continued on its path, but the encounter with the grotesque creature had heightened their awareness of the danger they faced, and questions loomed about the nature of this new and formidable adversary.
