The thought of Hades being your father never would have occurred to you before today.
After realizing your mom had left you for Oz, all you wanted to do was go back home. But that wasn't really an option for you. You didn't have any magic slippers and you had no idea of how to summon a magic realm hopping twister.
Zelena saw her ex, "Hades"
Hades frowned, "Zelena"
Mal said, "Glinda?"
The good witch of the south smiled, "Mal. What brings you , your friends, and your father here to Oz?"
Uma answered and pointed to your mom, "Her"
"Me?" questioned Zelena.
Hades said, "Your daughter thought something had happened to you. Or should I say our daughter?"
Zelena was hoping Hades hadn't put that together but she was wrong.
Mal reacted, "Wait what?"
Zelena said, "Maybe I should have said something or left a note but it was a last minute trip. I was planning on going to come back for Y/n, I swear. I just had a few things I needed to straighten out. I want the west of Oz back and I want to share it with my daughter. You haven't been a father to her so she's just my daughter"
Hades snared at the wicked witch, "You didn't let me"
You knew you would have to go back and face her. You couldn't stay on the side of the road with Harry in the emerald city forever.
Thanks to Harry, you pulled yourself together and found the strength to go back.
You let him know it was okay for him to go off on your mom for leaving.
You remarked, "You just decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Oz and didn't tell me?"
Your mom told you, "Y/n, I want us to rule the west of Oz together. I should have told you but I wanted it to be a surprise. I wasn't thinking. I should have told you I was leaving so you didn't worry"
The idea of ruling the west of Oz with your mom sounded so crazy to you. It wasn't what you wanted or ever thought about.
You told her, "I don't want to rule the west. I don't even want to be in Oz. My life is fine just the way it is. It's great, actually. I have the world's best boyfriend, friends I care about and trust, powerful magic, a home I like, but I thought I had a great mom who would never leave"
Your mom said, "You do"
Harry stepped in, "You're not listening to 'er. You left because you want to rule the west of Oz. It doesn't matter to 'er that it was only for a short time or that you want to rule with her. What matters is that you left"
Your mom smirked, "I will not be scolded about my daughter by Captain Hook junior"
Under different circumstances, Harry would have found being called Captain Hook junior a compliment but he could see that she was using it as an insult.
Uma had to defend her first mate, "Harry's more than just the son of Hook. He's loyal, caring, and he loves your daughter. That is very clear even though I wish it wasn't"
You and Harry did love your PDA even though everyone else despised it which made you love it even more.
Zelena asked, "Why do these children think they can speak to me?"
Glinda spoke up, "Zelena. It's clear you and your daughter want different things. I think you two need to sort that first"
You were fairly sure that was going to take a long while. Everyone gave you and your mother the room. You let Harry know it was okay.
You had crossed your arms, "You can stay in Oz if that's what you want but I'm going back to the isle. It's my home"
Your mother told you, "Y/n, you're too young to be living on your own. Especially on the isle. It's dangerous"
"And Oz isn't? And I never said I'd be living on my own"
"You are not moving that pirate plaything of yours into my house"
You hated when people underestimated your relationship with Harry. He meant everything to you. You wished your mom could understand that.
You stomped your foot, "He's not my pirate plaything, mom! Why can't you understand that? He is the love of my life! My true love, I know it"
She said to you, "You are far too young to understand what true love is"
"Just because I've experienced it and you haven't doesn't mean it isn't real"
Maybe that was a little harsh but she deserved it for leaving.
She defended herself, "I have experienced true love"
You relied, "Really? With whom? Wait let me guess first, Hades"
"What did he tell you?"
"Not much but enough that I've started to think he's my dad"
Your mom went silent meaning that you were right. Hades was your dad. Which meant Mal was your half sister.
Then things became a little more clear to you. Why your mom wanted you to rule Oz, why she never told you Hades was your dad.
You spoke, "You never told me that because you knew Mal was my half sister. You were always jealous of your half sister and you didn't want that for me. You've always wanted better for me. Thing is mom, I have that back home"
Your mom said, "Now you're starting to sound sensible"
"I get that you miss Oz. It was your home for so long, you were raised here but the isle was where I was born and raised. It's my home, it's my Oz and I don't care about ruling anything"
You mom thought for a moment before saying, "I think have an idea. I'll stay in Oz but you take my silver slippers so you can come visit anytime you want. I want better for you so you'll go to Auradon prep next fall but until then you can stay with someone. And I'll try to get along with your boyfriend"
The wicked witch of the west staying in Oz was conditional. She needed to be better and she had a reason to, for you.
The rest of you went back to Auradon and the isle.
You spent the summer at the palace, getting to know your half sister and future brother in law. That place was nice. And you spent a few weekends in Oz with your mom. You and Mal had a few visitors from Hades over that summer.
In the fall, you started attending Auradon Prep for your senior year and graduated in the spring.
You and Harry were still going strong. There was this one time he accidentally ended under a sleeping cure and you proved what you had was true love by waking him with a kiss.
You and Harry went on a trip after graduation. His dad let him take the Jolly Roger. (After you had put a protection spell on the ship of course and everyone in his family stayed with his mother's family in Auradon)
You visited lots of places but nowhere compared to the Emerald City.
It was on the voyage back that you found something hidden in the sock drawer. There were not many clean socks left in there to cover it up.
You had to take it out and look at it. It was such a pretty ring.
Harry came in and saw you standing there with the ring, "You weren't supposed to find that"
You looked over at him, "Do you have something to ask me, Harry?"
"Yeah, I do" he grabbed the ring from you then got down on one knee, "will ye marry me?"
You smiled, "Yes, of course I will"
Harry put the ring on your left ring finger then kissed you. You were happier than you ever thought you could be.
You two had quite the time celebrating your engagement after. So much that you stayed in bed the next day. Good thing you could just conjure food with your magic.
You and Harry were about to start the happily ever after that you two deserved.
