Hinata paced around his bedroom, knowing it was Tuesday, so he was going to have to study again
Nerves wasn't the problem, though
The pair hadn't texted on Sunday, and tsukishima wasn't at school on Monday due to sleeping in, then not bothering to come in at all, so they didn't talk then either
Excitement was the issue. hinata went to sleep on Monday night kicking around in his bed, not being able to sleep all because he was excited to see tsukishima
"Shoyo, come on, get in the car. You're going to be late," shoyos mom shouted from the bottom of the stairs as natsu skipped down them in her school uniform
"What?" Hinata said quietly as he checked the time, revealing it was 7:58, and he should already be on his way to school
He packed his bag, trying to recall what lessons he had, then grabbed a hoodie to go under his blazer, which was actually against the uniform dress code, but every teacher had already given up on telling him to take it off at this point
Then he grabbed his phone, and airpods of the desk slipped on his shoes and dashed out the house
"You're late." Kageyama stated
"shit really?I didn't notice," hinata said sarcastically as he approached kageyama after walking into the gym for volleyball practise
"Maybe if you answered my text telling you not to be late, you wouldn't have been."
"...I would have, but I forgot to charge my phone last night, so I did it this morning,"
Kageyama rolled his eyes before picking up a volleyball and calling yachi to throw them up a few tosses
Tsukishima watched as hinata spiked yet another one of kageyamas sets. He felt that somewhat new feeling arise in his stomach yet again
Jealousy
"Go talk to him," Yamaguchi demanded, noticing the face tsukishima was making and what was causing it as he'd felt it many times before
"Are you weird?" Tsukishima asked
Yamaguchis mouth opened in a state of shock before laughing
"No, I am not. What's wrong with going to talk to him? "
"I can't just walk up to him and be like 'oh hinata. I want to talk to you, so stop playing volleyball with your best friend and talk to me.'" Tsukishima mocked
Yamaguchi thought about it for a second and realised what tsukishima was getting at . Luckily, the duo who was practising stopped for a break kageyama went to grab his water bottle, and hinata was making his way over to yamaguchi and tsukishima
Yamaguchi started walking towards hinata while tsukishima stayed put, yamaguchi pulled hinata in for a hug they talked for a second or two, and Yamaguchi continued walking to kageyama
'Fuck you tadashi.'tsukishima thought to himself as the Jealousy wore off and the nerves kicked in
"TSUKISHIMAAAA!!"hinata shouted as he ran over to tsukishima arms open awaiting a hug which was usually as hinata was big on hugs, what wasn't usual was the urge to want to hug hinata back as tsukishima would usually swerve in the opposite direction or shout no, but this time he wanted the hug more than anything but he couldn't.
It would have been out of the ordinary for anyone watching, but there was an alternative
"HI hi hi hi," hinata repeated over and over again, which was a very obvious indicator that he was happy as he'd usually repeat words over and over whenever he was happy
Tsukishima ruffled his hand through hinatas hair "hello hinata,how are you?"
Tsukishima knew the risks of asking this question as hinata would always ramble on forever, which he usually found annoying, but now he was just intrigued
"Well, yesterday when I was playing volleyball, noya suggested jumping so high that I can jump over the net, so now I'm going to keep practising till I can jump over the net!!" Hinata beamed
Hinata was talking so fast that tsukishima could just about make out what he was saying
"Can't wait to see that."
"I'll make sure you're the first one to see it then, but that means I have to practise, sooo do you want to practice with me?" hinata asked
Tsukishima glanced over at Kageyama and yamaguchi, who seemed to be deep into conversation, so kageyama wouldn't be asking hinata to practise with him again for a while
"Sure."
They practised for the rest of clubtime before going to get dressed and heading to their lessons
The rest of the day went some what smoothly for the first year's can't say the same for the second year's as noya almost got suspended yet again the only reason he didn't being asahi taking the blame and as he was a good student the punishment was then minor
"You threw your sandwich off the roof, and it landed on the vice principles head?"Tsukishima questioned for the third time
"Yes. But I didn't mean for it to go on his head it was supposed to land in the bin." Noya stated
"Oh my god, you're an idiot." Tsukishima said while laughing
"It's okay, noya! At least you didn't get suspended again, " hinata said as he stood sandwiched between Tsukishima and noya
Noya was with the pair due to going to an outside of schools' friends' house after school, which was in the same direction as tsukishima and hinatas' house, so it made sense to walk with them,
"I know, but I feel bad for asahi... he has 3 days of detention now, "noya frowned in his normally raspy voice
Tsukishima continued to laugh even more at the situation but stopped when hinata gave him a sympathetic look
"You should thank him for taking the blame with a present!!" Hinata beamed
"Yeah, and apologies while you're at it." tsukishima snickered
"You're right. I'll buy something cool like a pet tarantula!!"
"Uhhh.. Maybe something that he likes, " hinata suggests remembering the time when asahi ran out of the training camp and onto the streets because of a tiny spider that was on the opposite side of the room to him
Noya, thought, for a second before jumping up, "I'm going to the shop. I know what to get. Thanks, byeeee have fun!!" Noya shouted as he ran in the direction of the nearest shop
"BYEEEEEE NOYAAAA!!" Hinata shouted
"You're loud."Tsukishima stated
Hinata laughed before responding, "OH MY GOD, REALLY, I DIDNT NOTICE!!!!" He shouted
Tsukishima smiled before realising hinata was looking up at him in awe, so he used his hand to cover hinatas face,
"Stop,just walk faster," tsukishima managed to mumble as he noticed his cheeks heat up
"We are literally walking at the same pace." hinata added

Once the pair reached the tsukishima household, they were guided into the kitchen to snack before studying by kei's mom
"Ah, that's nice, so what do you plan on studying today?"she said as she sliced up more fruit
"Evolution of earth's early atmosphere," tsukishima said
"I'm so good at that!!" Hinata beamed as he stuffed another strawberry down his gob
"You're not." Tsukishima stated
"I so am, quizz me !!" Shoyo demanded
"Okay then,hmm, what gas made up most of Earth's early atmosphere ?"
"Oxygen." Hinata said proudly
"....carbon dioxide, there wasn't any oxygen." tsukishima said while looking at hinata
Hinatas head jolted to look back at kei
"You're lying,"
"Yeah, sure I am. Come on, you need all the help you can get," tsukishima said calmly as he got up and made his way to the stairs
Hinata thanked tsukishimas mom for the fruit before heading after tsukishima

"Okay, so you understand how oxygen came around now?" Tsukishima asked as he finished up the topic of photosynthesis
"Yes,the water vapour turned into oceans, and then eventually alge was formed wich took the carbon dioxide then photosynthesised to create ox-"hinata stopped before finishing his sentence
Tsukishima watched as hinata stood up and ran to the window in awe
"ITS SNOWING ITS SNOWING!!" hinata shouted
Obviously, Tsukishima noticed the snow about 20 minutes ago but found it undeniably cute that hinata was so focused on studying that it took him so long to notice
"I can see that hinata,"tsukishima said softly as he walked up to the window
"Can we go out?" Hinata asked
"No,you'll get a cold. You don't even have a coat,"
Tsukishima watched as hinata frowned
Leading his body to move before his head
Tsukishima walked up to his wardrobe, pulled out a sweater, a coat, and a hat
"Put these on, then we can go out,"
"YAYYYY!" Hinata said before obeying
"You look cute." Tsukishima said barely loud enough to hear
"What was that?" Hinata asked, trying to make sure his hearing wasn't playing up.
"I didn't say anything," kei stated down at hinata, who was wearing a sweater then a hoodie, then a coat on top of that along with a pom pom hat pulled over his ears leaving wisps of hair hanging out at all angles
"Okay, let's good!"
Hinata skipped down the stairs on his way to the back garden, avoiding eye contact with tsukishima as it always seemed to make his stomach do loops
"Hinata, you're a bit red. Are you okay?" Tsukishimas mom questioned as she placed her hand on hinatas for head, making sure he didn't have a fever
"Yes, I'm fine, just hot in so many layers. That's all. " hinata lied he was warm and cosy, not hot, and burning up
"Why have you got so many layers on?" She questioned as she noticed hinata wrapped up in her son's clothing
Hinata was about to respond but had tsukishima do it before him
"I don't want him to catch a cold." Tsukishima stated as he opened the back door, ushering hinata out
Tsukishima's mom smiled at the situation as she hadn't known her son to harbour so much concern and care over something, let alone another person
"Snow look at the snow!"hinata beamed, grabbing tsukishimas arm for support, knowing the floor was somewhat icy, and he had no balance whatsoever
"It's barely enough to set on the ground, you know?"
" I know, but maybe by Friday there will be enough to make snowballs!!" Hinata said
"I'll check the weather for you when we go back in, but if there is enough to make snowballs, we should team up and throw a ton at kageyama and yamaguchi." tsukishima suggested
"You have a deal! I like being around you." Shoyo said as he stuck his hand out to allow snow to land in his palm
"Hm?"
"I like being on a team with you for volleyball like studying with you, and I really like looking at the snow with you. tsukishima "
Kei felt the heat in his cheeks even more now as the rest of his body was cold
This led to him noticing everything like hinatas arms wrapped around his,hinata standing there draped in his clothes and how his nose was slightly red due to the cold, which distracted him with concern
"You can't walk home in this it's too cold."
Hinata looked up at tsukishima, shocked by the amount of concern that tsukishima suddenly had for him. He thought it was cute how tsukishima genuinely looked concerned
"I'll call my mom she can pick me up. I won't walk," hinata said as he pulled out his phone from his jacket pocket, calling his mom

"She has to pick up natsu from the after-school club, so she will be here in an hour."
"Okay, but we're not staying out here it's cold,"
"Imagine being cold," hinata smiled
"Coming from the one who currently looks like rudolph, the red nose reindeer?
"RIGHT, OKAY, THAT WAS SO UNCALLED FOR" shoyo laughed as he followed tsukishima back inside
"It was funny tho" kei stated
"Maybe it was..." hinata said as he pulled the hat of his head,his hair fluffier than ever
"Wanna watch a movie ?" Tsukishima asked as he hung up the coat that hinata took off and passed to him
"Depends what movie?"
"....hmm, you're the guest you decide,"
Hinata thought about it for a second before remembering his all-time favourite movie
"Peter pan!!"
"Sure,I'm going to get blankets since your nose is still a little red rudolph."
Hinata rolled his eyes at the temporary nickname while touching his nose to see if it was cold
Hinata watched as tsukishima carried 2 heavy blankets down the stairs with ease, throwing one at hinata, almost toppling him over
"No joke, I swear akiteru digs the remotes into the side of the sofa on purpose at this point" tsukishima moaned as he digged his hand out of the side of the sofa with the tv remote in hand
"It's Akiteru, so it's okay. He's so cool."hinata teased, knowing it would annoy tsukishima
"Oh yeah, get akiteru to tutor you then see if your grades get any better." Tsukishima jokes as he sat on the sofa, leaving a gap between him and hinata
Tsukishima searched for the movie on Disney, plus finding it quickly
Instead of watching the movie, he seemed to be more captivated by hinatas facial expressions throughout as his face would scrunched up at the moments he disliked, and his cheeks would puff up in anticipation at dangerous scenes and the smile at any good scenes
It felt as if he'd looked away for a second only to look back to see hinatas eyes closed, trying to keep his head up
"You idiot your mom's coming soon you can't sleep," kei mumbled, soon deciding it was pointless, and he didn't want to wake the boy up if he was that tired, he slightly nudged the side of his head causing hinata to fall on tsukishimas shoulder and carry on sleeping
About 20 minutes went by of kei being too scared to move but soon discovered hinata wasn't waking up for anything
Tsukishima couldn't help but tuck the lock of ginger hair that was hanging in his face back and admire the boy soon deciding hinata was really a sight for sore eyes
