Omniscient Pov:
Scene:
A house, on a rock island somewhere out at sea. The family is sleeping, with Harry and Euphemia on the cold, dirt floor. He has drawn a birthday cake which reads, Happy Birthday Euphemia and Harry. Harry looks at Dudley's watch, which beeps 12:00.
Harry: Make a wish, Mimi.
Euphemia: And you make a wish too, Hazza.{they both blow on the drawn candles}
Some people frowned while the marauders, Lily, and others looked at each other with a silent promise to spoil them with presents this time around.
Suddenly, the door thumps. Harry jumps while Euphemia frowns. The door thumps again and Dudley and Harry jump up and back away with Euphemia in tow. Petunia and Vernon appear, Vernon with a gun. The door bangs again and then cracks open, and a giant man appears.
"Why does he have a gun with children there?" Lily questioned in disbelief, getting murmurs of agreement from the half-borns and muggle-borns, "What is a gun?" Regulus asked, ignoring the look Bellatrix gave him.
"a weapon consisting of a metal tube with mechanical attachments, from which projectiles are shot by the force of an explosive." Lily explained, and Regulus just nodded, even though he only understood half of that.
Vernon: Who's there? Ahh!
Hagrid: Sorry 'bout that. {He puts the door back up}
"HAGRID!" the marauders shouted, and some of the first and second years.
Vernon: I demand that you leave at once, Sir! You are breaking and entering!
Petunia: Ooh.
Hagrid comes over, grabs the gun and bends it upwards.
Hagrid: Dry up, Dursley, you great prune. {The gun fires}
All: Ahh!
Hagrid: {sees Dudley} Mind, I haven't seen you since you was a baby, Harry, but you're a bit more along than I would have expected. Particularly 'round the middle! And where is your sister?
Dudley: I-I-I'm not Harry.
Harry appears: I-I am.
Euphemia with a look of suspicion on her face: And i am his sister.
Hagrid: Oh, well, of course you are! Got something for ya both. 'Fraid I might have sat on it at some point! I imagine that it'll taste fine just the same. Ahh. Baked it myself. {Hands Harry the cake} Words and all. Heh.
Harry & Euphemia: Thank you! {Opens cake, which reads: Happee Birdae Harry And Euphemia .}
"Thank you, Hagrid." Lily and James said after turning towards Hagrid, to which the half-giant just smiled and nodded, "I'd want someone to do the same for me.
Hagrid: It's not every day that your young man and woman turns eleven, now is it?
Hagrid sits down on the couch, takes out an umbrella and points it at the empty fire. Poof, poof! Two sparks fly out and the fire starts. The family gapes.
Harry: {puts cake down} Excuse me, who are you?
Hagrid: Rubeus Hagrid. Keeper of keys and grounds at Hogwarts. Course, you'll know all about Hogwarts.
Harry & Euphemia: Sorry, no.
Hagrid: No? Blimey, Harry, Euphemia, didn't you ever wonder where your mum and dad learned it all?
Harry: Learnt what?
Euphemia raised an eyebrow. She wondered what he was talking about. As far as she was concerned, she didn't know anything about her parents other than how they died, and she knew Harry felt the same.
Hagrid: You're a wizard, Harry, and you're a witch Euphemia
Harry: I-I'm a what?
"I'm a wot." Barty mocked, gaining laughs from most of the people in the hall, while Harry blushed from embarrassment, and his wife just looked at him in amusement.
Euphemia: Excuse me?
Harry: A wizard and witch. And a thumping good one at that, I'd wager. Once ya train up a little.
Harry: No, you've made a mistake. I can't be...a-a wizard. I mean, I'm just... Harry. Just Harry; and she's just mimi
When harry pointed to her she nodded in agreement with her brother
Hagrid: Well, Just Harry and Mimi, did you ever make anything happen? Anything you couldn't explain when you were angry or scared? {Harry softens his expression while Euphemia looks like she solved the biggest mystery} Ah.
Dudley: {whimpers}
Hagrid hands them the same letter that has been sent the past while. they both open it.
Harry & Euphemia: Dear, Mr./Ms. Potter. We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
Vernon: Hell not be going! We swore when we took him in wed put an end to this rubbish!
"RUBBISH!?!" people in the great hall yelled at the audacity.
Harry: You knew?? You knew all along and you never told me?
Euphemia was seething with her hands clenched at her side; she had her head down, so you couldn't see her expression.
Petunia: Of course we knew. How could you not be? My perfect sister being who she was. Oh, my mother and father were so proud the day she got her letter. We have a witch in the family. Isn't it wonderful? I was the only one to see her for what she was. A freak! And then she met that Potter, and then she had you two, and I knew you'd both be just the same, just as strange, just as ... abnormal. And then, if you please, she went and got herself blown up! And we got landed with you two.
Lily looked down after hearing what her sister said. She knew this already, but hearing it from her was the worst. James held her hand and gave her a reassuring smile.
Euphemia: SHUT UP!! HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT ABOUT YOUR OWN SISTER AS FAR AS I CAN SEE YOUR JEALOUS THAT SHE HAD MAGIC AND YOU DIDN'T NOW YOU'RE STUCK HERE WITH TWO OVERWEIGHT MORONS!
"THAT'S RIGHT TELL HER!"
"DESERVED!"
"QUEEN MIA!"
Was all heard throughout the great hall as Lily smiled at her future daughter, who gave her a thumbs up with a smile that matched her father's.
Everyone was shocked by her outburst. Euphemia had never raised her voice, so this shook and scared them; as if Harry finally caught on to what was said, he spoke up.
Harry: Blown up? You told us our parents died in a car crash!
Hagrid: A car crash? A car crash kill James and Lily Potter?
Petunia: We had to tell them something.
Euphemia: the truth would've been nice!
Hagrid: It's an outrage! It's a scandal!
Vernon: He'll not be going!
Hagrid: Oh, and I suppose a great Muggle like yourself's going to stop him, are you?
Harry & Euphemia:Muggle?
Hagrid: Non magic folk. They had their name down ever since they was born! they're going to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world, and he'll be under the greatest headmaster Hogwarts' has ever seen: Albus Dumbledore.
Harry smiled upon hearing Dumbledore's name, while Euphemia raised her eyebrow at the giant and then at her brother.
"You raise your eyebrow a lot." Orion stated this towards Mia, ignoring the surprise looks he got from talking to a half-blood. "Yeah, it's a habit," she told him with a small smile.
Vernon: I will not pay for some crackpot old fool to teach him magic tricks!
"Shouldn't have said that." Marlene said it with a giggle, knowing how Hagrid is.
Hagrid: {whips out umbrella and points it at Vernon} Never insult Albus Dumbledore in front of me.
Hagrid sees Dudley eating the twins cake, and points the umbrella at his rear. A grey tail grows.
Maia giggled at the laughter people were holding in. As her mother and father smiled at her.
Dudley: Ahh!
All: Ahh! {family chases Dudley}
Harry and Euphemia laugh; Euphemia laughing more than Harry.
Hagrid: Oh, um, I'd appreciate if you didn't tell anyone at Hogwarts about that. Strictly speaking, I'm not allowed to do magic.
McGongall gave Hagrid a look, and he just turned red and looked back towards the screen.
Harry & Euphemia:{Nods} Okay.
Hagrid: {checks a clock} Ooh, we're a bit behind schedule. Best be off. Unless you'd rather stay, of course. Hmm? {Leaves}
Euphemia gives her brother a grin,and follows Hagrid.
Harry grins, looks back, and grins again following after his sister.
