Almond and Latte got up really quickly, trying to brush it off and continue the tour, but Espresso.. Oh Espresso was burning with anger, he wanted to punch Almond just for touching his sister, then Madeleine put his hand on Espresso's shoulder in a way to calm him down.
Madeleine- Espresso, calm down, it's not that big of a deal.
Madeleine said that in a tone that made Espresso breathe deep down and relax a bit
Espresso- Fine.. After all the coffee cookies don't hold grudges.
Madeleine- the coffee cookies?
Espresso- it's family code
Madeleine- I just realized the only person of your family that I met was your sister!
Espresso- Well I haven't met anyone in your family
Madeleine then starts thinking a lot, which makes an incredibly long awkward silence so Espresso silently walks away. After a while Madeleine is still thinking.
Latte- Is he okay?
Almond- When is he ever okay?
Cocoa- Correct answer: never
Latte- Really? He always seems so overly confident
Cocoa- One word.. Denial
Latte- Oookay..
Madeleine then inhales very deeply and runs to the back of the school
Cocoa- What was that?
Almond- How am I supposed to know?
Cocoa- Aren't you the one that wants to be a detective?
Almond- I sometimes regret telling you about my dreams-
Cocoa- As you should
Almond- WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN??
Cocoa laughs as the menace to society she is
Latte- Uh.. Is this normal-?
Mint choco- You'll be surprised when I say that this happens more than once a day
Latte- Wow really?

Latte- I think you're the only one who's mentally stable here
Mint choco- I'm a background character what did you expect?

Almond got embarrassed and started panicking

Cocoa- You failed social studies??
Mint choco- Cocoa I can explain-
As they argued over and over, Madeleine ran to Espresso, who was sitting on the stairs reading as always
Madeleine- ESPRESSO!! :D
Espresso- What do you want
Madeleine- Let's have a dinner together!!
Espresso- Huh?
Madeleine- So I talked to my mom, you and your family come to our house and we'll have a dinner together!! Then we'll finally get to meet eachother's family!
Espresso- Hmm.. That does sound like a good idea..
Espresso smiled at seeing how Madeleine was dedicated to get to know him better
Madeleine- So is that a yes?
Espresso- Yes, indeed it is
Madeleine cheered loudly
Madeleine- My family is already on their way here!!
He writes his address on a paper and gives it to Espresso
Madeleine- I'll see you at 8!
He runs back to his group happily
Espresso-..Did he forget we still have 5 hours of school together?

Espresso kept thinking about Madeleine's negative IQ all day that the time went by so fast, it was time to go home, Espresso and Latte walked home together since they didn't have much of a choice, their family barely used the car because of how expensive gas was getting. He walked in the house with his sister, not surprised to see their parents arguing, Espresso coughed to try to get their attention, they looked at him immediately
Caramel frappe- Oh hey sweetheart! How was school?
Cappuccino- Don't pretend to care about this family..
They continued arguing for some minutes until Espresso said
Espresso- Can you two stop arguing for a second and listen to me??
Cappuccino- Sorry, Espresso, go ahead
Espresso- Madeleine invited us over to his house for a dinner with his family.
Cappuccino- Madeleine? Your old rich friend?
Espresso- Yeah, can we go?
Caramel frappe- Awww how cute! Of course we can go!
Cappuccino- Fine but I'm driving, I don't want your mom driving MY car
Latte- Dad, are you okay?
Silence, Cappuccino looked at Caramel frappe and then looked back at Latte
Cappuccino- Sorry kiddo, but I don't think you can call me that anymore. Let's get changed.
Latte and Espresso were confused, but as Espresso walked to his room he thought "Is Cappuccino not my dad? No that wouldn't make sense.. I look just like him.. But maybe he's not my sister's dad? That would explain a lot.. She looks nothing like him. And that would explain the white on her hair, but again our grandma does have white hair.. Maybe they're getting a divorce.. They've been arguing for two months now, but about what? They refuse to tell us everytime we ask.. Hmmm.. I'll think more about it later".
He then tried on some outfits his mother made him, the clothes in the store were so expensive and his aunt would always give them fabrics for free since she had too much. He chose a simple outfit, a greyish pink shirt and a black jacket, a bit dirty but it was acceptable.
They all got ready and went to the car. A few minutes later they finally arrived, Espresso walked up to the door and knocked on the golden painted door

Madeleine opens the door and smiles at the sight of Espresso here
Madeleine- Espresso!! Glad you could make it! Come on in! My mom is finishing dinner!
They go in, Espresso and his family are amazed by how fancy the house is, Madeleine shows them where to sit and they wait patiently for the food, Grand Madeleine walks in holding the food along with Madeleine's 3 aunts, they put the food down and sit down
Caramel frappe- Wow! It's a pleasure to meet you!
Grand Madeleine- Well it's a pleasure to meet you too! I heard from my son that you're a coffee cookie! That means you're from the dark cacao kingdom correct?
Caramel frappe- Well yes, we're from the coffee tribe in the dark cacao kingdom, but our children grew up in the Cremé republic!
Cappuccino- You mean our son and your daughter
Grand madeleine- Uhm..
That turned out to be very awkward.. What was Cappuccino trying to imply?
Madeleine's 1st aunt- Well I've never seen any of you in the upper city! What's all of your names again?
Madeleine- Those are Espresso and Latte!
He never told the family who hurt his feelings when he was younger or who was his best friend at the time, who he was missing, he never told them their names since they found out they were from the lower city, and now he just did.
Madeleine's 3rd aunt- The muddy kids from the lower city??
Madeleine's 2nd aunt- We were right to think they were dangerous!! So they were the ones that hurt you!! Which one was it?? Was it this weird mix or.. This Monstrosity!?
Madeleine was in shock, and so was everyone else, Espresso, Latte, Caramel Frappe, Cappuccino and even Grand Madeleine, they were all flabbergasted, Espresso usually let insults slide, insults like "Stupid nerd" or something like that, but being called a "MONSTROSITY"?? How could he let that slide?? When he was about to say something his mother got up and yelled
Caramel frappe- HOW DARE YOU TALK TO MY CHILDREN LIKE THAT?! YOU PRIVILEGED PEOPLE ARE ALL THE SAME!! THINKING YOU'RE ABOVE US!! WELL GUESS WHAT?? ONCE WE DIE WE'LL ALL GET BURIED UNDER A TOMBSTONE!! YOUR DIRT WON'T BE BETTER THAN OURS!!
The room went silent until everyone heard Espresso's loud laugh
Cappuccino- Let's go kids
They got up and left, Madeleine went after them and that's when Espresso looked at him
Espresso- Sorry it didn't go like you wanted, guess our families don't get along well..
Madeleine- It's alright.. See you at school tomorrow..?
Espresso- Yeah, see you at school tomorrow
Espresso patted his shoulder and left, Madeleine blushed and smiled, his family walked up to him
Grand Madeleine- My son.. You're grounded-
Madeleine- NOOOO
