Yeonjun has decided to go to military at a young age. Since it's compulsory for every Korean male to serve at least 2 years in the army, he chose to do it early. He is also the oldest in the group, Tomorrow by Together. However, the members do not know about his decision.
They were all in dance practise, rehearsing to 'Opening Sequence' when during the break, a staff member pulled Yeonjun out for a chat.
"Yeonjun, about the military, they asked if you would like to do it after the age requirement. You know, because TXT is getting popular now."
"Uhm, is it possible...to perhaps do it earlier? I know I'm still young but I just want to serve for the country whilst I'm young and strong." Yeonjun said.
"A-are you sure?" The staff asked, but he just nodded. "Okay, I'll let them know. You can head back inside."
"Yeonjun Hyung!" Soobin called out. "Everything good?"
"Yeah yeah, they were just discussing about me being MC." He lied. "Let's get back to practise."
~Time Skip~
Yeonjun now has a month left to spend with the members. The days have flown past and the older now feels scared. Not because of what he might face in the army, but the fact he will be leaving his members. He loves them with all his heart.
The five boys were all at their dorm. Yeonjun and Soobin were sat on the couch, whilst Beomgyu and Kai were playing a video game in the next room.
"Where's Taehyun?" The oldest asked.
"HYUNG! Omg look at this kitten. Can we get one? Please?" Taehyun jumped between the Hyungs as he showed them the picture.
"Tae, as much as you want one you know the company won't allow it." Yeonjun said as he saw him pout a little.
"Damn the company." Taehyun huffed.
"Don't worry Tae, I'll try to convince them." Soobin said, giggling at the youngers reaction.
A few weeks have passed and today, the weather is awful. All practise and interviews had to be cancelled because there was going to be a horrible storm.
Taehyun was not looking forward to it. He doesn't want to admit it but he's scared. He's scared of the loud noises, he feels that the whole building shakes with the wind and the lights cutting out.
Rain drops started to fall, very lightly. It was rolling down the glass window as Taehyun looked out. There was no one on the street, not even cars driving past.
'I guess this storm is going to be the worst.' He sighed.
He walked around the dorm to see what each member is doing. Kai was watching his phone, snuggled up to his plushies. Soobin and Beomgyu were having their food. The young latter decided to walk into Yeonjun's room to see what he was doing, and there he found him fast asleep.
'Ah, he looks so comfy.'
All of a sudden a lightening strikes causing the younger to yelp as he dropped to the floor.
'Fuck fuck fuck. No not now.'
He didn't want Yeonjun to wake up, he was sleeping soundly. For the last few days they've been working hard so he really wanted the older to rest.
Then there was another strike, this time the thunder was a lot louder. Taehyun started trembling in fear, he covered his ears with his hands and tucked his knees to his chest.
Due to the loud thunder, it woke Yeonjun up. He rubbed his eyes and noticed a small trembling figure.
"Tyun, is that you?" He asked but there was no response. He rubbed his eyes until his vision was finally clear. "Tyun omg!"
Yeonjun immediately got up and ran towards the younger.
"H-Hyung, make it stop. P-please." Taehyun stuttered.
"Shhhh, don't worry it'll go away soon." Yeonjun said whilst comforting him. "Let's go onto the bed."
He carried the latter and placed him on his bed. He held Taehyun as he was still shaking. The younger just snuggled closer to Yeonjun's chest, trying his best to avoid the noise outside. The older rubbed Taehyun's back, which Taehyun loved as he didn't concentrate on the storm. He soon dozed off causing Yeonjun to fall asleep as well.
The next morning, Taehyun found himself sleeping in Yeonjun's room. A small blush came across his cheeks as he noticed the older was still fast asleep. No one knew this, but Taehyun has been crushing on his Hyung for a while. He's always been so supportive, who wouldn't fall for him. He got out of bed and wondered around the room. They always stay together but he never took in the decor in the older's bedroom. He saw the calendar placed on the wall and noticed a small writing for the date tomorrow.
'Hm what's tomorrow? Wait...m-military? No I'm imagining this, right?'
"Oh Taehyunnie, you're awake?" Yeonjun said as he yawned.
"H-Hyung."
"Hm?"
"W-what does this mean? Tomorrow's date has military written." Taehyun asked as he turned around.
"W-what?"
'Fuck it's tomorrow, how did this month fly?' Yeonjun swore to himself. He didn't even tell his members yet.
"Ah, Taehyun, before I explain could you wake everyone up? Please?" He asked and the younger just nodded, confused.
Yeonjun got dressed up and made his way to the living room. He saw everyone sitting down, still in their pyjamas, wondering why Yeonjun has asked for them.
"What's up Hyung?" Kai asked.
"Well...Uhm. I don't know how to word this."
"How about you e-explain the calendar first. Why does it say m-military?" Taehyun questioned. He felt a lump in his throat but didn't want to assume anything.
"What? Hyung what's Tae saying?" Beomgyu asked.
"Tomorrow, I-I'll be going to the army."
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Soobin shouted.
"Calm down...please." Yeonjun pleaded.
"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! How do you expect me to do that when you told us a day before you go? Hyung we won't see you again, for 2 years and you want us to calm down?!" Soobin continued yelling.
Nobody noticed as they were all so shocked, but Taehyun started crying. Silently, but tears were streaming out of his eyes. His heart was right and he hated it so much that he knew what the calendar meant. But he didn't want to believe it as he knew Yeonjun was too young to even apply, but he was wrong.
"Hyung, w-why so early?" Kai asked.
"A few months ago, when I got pulled out by the staff, they were asking about me going to military late, like BTS sunbaenim. But to be honest, I want to get it done earlier so they approved."
Taehyun started sobbing and that's when they all noticed the tears flowing. The latter got up and started weakly hitting the older's chest.
"Why, why must you say it now? We can't even spend time with you." He cried. "I hate you, I hate you. I hate you." Taehyun sobbed as he continuously hit the older's chest.
Yeonjun embraced the younger into a hug, who just sobbed loudly in to his chest. The rest of the boys joined in as they all started crying. As much as they want Yeonjun to stay, they understand that it was his choice but Taehyun is still having a hard time comprehending it.
Throughout the day, every time he looked at Yeonjun, his eyes would immediately tear up. The older just sighed, he knows the younger will have a hard time. He's been there for him since the beginning and now all of a sudden he has to disappear.
It was now night fall, Yeonjun lay in his bed staring at the ceiling.
'I'm leaving tomorrow, gosh.'
Suddenly, he heard a small knock.
"Come in."
"H-Hyung." A voice trembled.
"Come here." Yeonjun said with his arms wide open. Taehyun ran up and engulfed him into the hug.
"Can I sleep here, with you?" He asked, hesitating.
"Of course Tyun, you don't even need to ask."
"I can't believe you're leaving me tomorrow. I don't want to let you go." He said as he tightened his grip around the older.
"I'll be back before you know it."
"I wanted to say something, b-before you go."
"What is it?" Yeonjun asked, a bit curious.
"I- no I can't." He breathed.
"Come on Tyun, you can tell me. What's wrong?"
"Hyung...I don't want you to go. I-I love you. Not just in a friend way. I-I actually love you, for a long time now."
"What? Taehyun...are you being serious?"
"Fuck, I knew I should've kept my mouth shut. Hyung forget I even said anythi-mhmmmgm."
His words suddenly got cut off as he felt a pair of lips on his own. It started off slowly but soon became passionate, filled with love.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this Tae."
"Hyung...I- what?" The younger was confused.
"I fucking love you Kang Taehyun. I love you. L-O-V-E."
"Am I dreaming?"
Yeonjun, once again connected their lips. This time it was with much more passion. He didn't want it to end. He placed his arms around Taehyun's waist as he brought him closer.
"I'll miss you Hyung."
"I'll miss you too baby."
"Baby- does that mean-"
"Kang Taehyun, will you be my boyfriend?"
"I-I thought you'd never ask." The younger giggled. "But I want a proper proposal when you come back."
"Of course babe, I love you."
"I love you too."
