Ben gave you an uninterested stare, but it twisted to a mischievous, tired grin.
"Why aren't you acting like you were in the Group chat?" You glowered at him but kept silent. He snorted. "Don't worry. I'm not here to kill you or anything. I got you something that you'll need when you're actually doing your job." He brought out a maid dress, "Your uniform! Now put it on." He threw it to you, which you caught after it hit your face.
You look at the dress one more time before answering, "I'm not wearing this."
"You want the job or not?" You stay silent. "Exactly." You sighed as you went inside a secluded room and got changed.
You stepped out of the room with your arms crossed, revealing yourself to a smug looking elf. He swiftly took out his phone. You looked at him with a perplexed expression only processing what he was doing when you saw a bright flash. Your face flushed. "I'm definitely sending this to the group chat." The smug, tired grin plastered on his face. You ran to him trying to snatch the phone from him.
"Delete that! You didn't say you were taking a picture." Before you could reach it, he disappeared. You let out a confused grunt as you called out his name. A ping came from your phone.

You chuckle as messages keep popping up. Your phone rang. You look at the caller ID to see your best friend. You answer the call.
"Helloo?"
"(N/N)! So, what were you trying to say earlier?"

"You wanna hang out tomorrow with me and Alex?"
You were about to say yes but then remembered what was happening tomorrow. "Uhm, no, sorry. I'm... hanging out with a friend! From... online!"

"Maybe. We'll see." You hung up. You look at the time, it was the middle of the night. Putting off the lights and changing in your pyjamas as you get yourself ready for sleep. You were about to sleep but were distracted, you saw two red eyes and a silhouette of somebody who looked like Ben. You squint your eyes, but nothing changed.
"Ben? Ben, is that you? Get out of my house." You grunted.
"I'm not Ben." A deep voice spoke softly.
"Ben, this isn't funny. Get out, please."
"I'm not Ben. I am Link's shadow. I am Dark Link."
"Okay, whatever. You've dramatically introduced yourself, now leave please." He stared at you before walking over to your sitting form.
"He said you were a cool human. I wanted to see that for myself." He plopped down next to you. You groaned as you fell backwards. "I can only come at night because of the sun." You stared at his glowing, red eyes as he stared into your (e/c) eyes. "You're boring."
"I was going to go to sleep, but you broke into my house." You glared at him. "Also, not gonna lie, you're acting completely out of character." He raised an eyebrow. "Well, there's a wiki about you. It says that you don't like talking to anybody and you're, like, really antisocial and withdrawn." He opened his mouth to speak when there was a knock on your door.
"(Y/N)? I hope you don't mind that I let myself in. The door was unlocked."
Another voice. "(N/N)? Open up!"
Taking a deep breath, you got up and opened the door. "Hey Alex. Hey Milo. Could you please tell me what you are doing in my house in the middle of the night." You rubbed your eyes.
"I left my jacket and bag here. And Alex has something to tell you." He nudged Alex.
"Oh, yeah! I was texting our old school group chat and it turns the girl who "hated" you actually had a crush on you!" An excited grin on his face. You purse your lips in a thin line.
"I'll- uhh. I'll think about it... Get your stuff and leave my house now, please." Yawing, you sat back on your bed, watching them intensely. Milo took his bag and jacket and the two bid you goodbye. "Dark? You still there?" You heard a hum of conformation.
"Don't tell me you actually believe it." Your face twisted to a confused frown. "About the girl liking you. If she didn't like you then, what makes you think she likes you now? People don't change that quickly or they don't change at all." This guy sure has a horrible outlook on humans. You gave a shrug.
"It doesn't matter anyways. I won't be meeting her anytime soon." He nodded. Bored, you took out your phone and opened the Group chat.
