Verax's Cave / Morning
It was the next day and i woke and it was a beautiful morning.... I look at Ashley as she was sleeping and using one of my arms as her pillow for her head. I move my head closer to her face and say in the softest tone she ever heard from me...
Verax: (Low tone) Is morning my girl...
Ashley: (Waking up slowly) I really sleep well this time...
Verax: (Dragon chuckle) I know you did.... Well.... want to go and fly around?
Ashley: Yes, I do! let's go around! But please... don't grab me hard..
Verax: No Ashley... no grabbing this time..
Ashley: Wait what do you--???
I was standing and heading to the cave entrance and I proceed to lowered myself.... for her...
Verax: (Smoke coming from his nostrils) Get up...
Ashley: (GASP) You.... You are letting me to go on your back???!
Verax: Yes, you also need to learn how to fly with me. So ill say lets make these your first flight training... come, get up.
Ashley: This is a new Verax! You never weren't that friendly to me!!
She was so excited and head to me, she was trying to get up but because im big, she might need a hand.
Ashley: I can't.... you are somewhat tall than me...
Verax: (Opens a hand) Here, ill pull you up.
She stepped on my hand and i gently pull herself up and she is holding herself with one of my spikes and holding my neck.
Ashley: Im so scared to do this!
Verax: Easy my girl... you won't fall or I will catch you if you did. (Looks at her in his back) Lets head out!
I exit the entrance as I'm walking my way out... i spread my wings stretching it and she was holding on my neck really hard. I gently took off so she doesn't fall. She was screaming scared from the highs and seeing how high im flying but not yet reaching the clouds. I wanted to fly at low altitude.
Verax: (Looks at her from his back) How's the view?!
Ashley: (Laughing) This is beautiful!! I just don't want to fall!
Verax: Girl if you even fall i would catch you right away.... I'm your most trusted being you ever have. Despite our previous dispute... I want to spend the day with you alone in a lake.
We continue flying and i found my favorite lake I usually go, a lake no one barely goes. It has waterfalls and beautiful trees around.
Verax: (Landed gently in four) This is the Drake Lake, a place where the water itself is purified.
Ashley: I can see is so crystal clear!
Verax: You can even see the floor of the lake... (Looks at her from his back) I want to spend the time here with you, alone... Let me know you more my girl...
Ashley: (Still in disbelief and shocked) I want to know you more Verax... tell me your past and everything...
Verax: Then lets go to the waters... after this we are going to a village nearby and i want you to have new tunic...
Ashley: Yeah i want to get rid of these clothes.
Verax: I know you would... come with me...
I was walking towards the lake while she is on my back still and i touched the waters that are warm, i continue going to the deeps and proceed to swim while she remain on me.
Verax: (Swimming around) These waters are beautiful!
Ashley: Im not sure if i want to get down! I dont want to drown.
Verax: Girl you wont.. ill be here with you!
Ashley: Okay then ill do it...
Verax: Just swim!
And she did... she jumps off from me and she is swimming and resurface but she was panicking.
Verax: Hey! Relax... no need to panic, im here..
Ashley: Im trying! This part is so deep! Is there creatures below us?!
Verax: Girl you are safe... I don't see anything other than fishes. (Went close to her and rise his head) Hold on my claws and go easy....
Ashley: (Calming down as she holds his talons)
Verax: Easy.... Easy there...
Ashley: Is so warm the waters... I never experience a lake like this ever in my life...
Verax: And i knew you never had lakes like these on Earth...
Ashley: Like with this scenery? Not at all...
Verax: (Draconic chuckled) Lets play around... can you trust you will do good in the waters?
Ashley: Yes... (Let herself go and swimming relaxing) I love nature!
Verax: So do I... (Started splashing her with his claws)
Ashley: (Getting splashed in her face) Verax!! (Laughing and started splashing at him back)
Verax: Pathetic... (Splashed big time in her face)
Ashley: Okay Okay! (Laughing) I cant with you!
After minutes of me and her playing around in the waters, it was one of the most beautiful moments i ever had in my life despite she is a human but i know she is different than some others... Im seeing her as an exception than the ones living in this world. Then after we got satisfied with our playing in the waters i proceed to have a moment and deep dive to her to get to know more about her and she to me, so i went and proceed to hold her in my arms while we remain in the waters. She is touching my skin and how warm it is and she is looking at me with a happy smile.... she is now building trust on me..
Verax: (Holding her still looking at her down) Best day you ever had in my world hmm?
Ashley: I feel safe with you Verax.... I dont know how to word it but you are now becoming a true guardian of mines...
Verax: And I will always be... (Lowered his head to her face) This is the time for you to get to know me more...
Ashley: (Touching his nostrils) Tell me everything about you.... what happened in your past? why you don't like Humanity?
Verax: (Closed his eyes and proceed to rise his head back up and opens his red and ember eyes again) Because of what they did to me almost a hundred years ago... This happened 82 years ago...
Ashley: 82 years?? wait but before you continue... how old are you??
Verax: I'm 107 Years old my dear. My own kind unlike most dragon species can live up to 200 years.
Ashley: Im just 24! I'm a baby to you!
Verax: I know you are... I knew you where that young....
Ashley: Tell me more about your past?
Verax: 82 years ago, several dragon slayer humans sent an onslaught against many of my own Kind.... they..... (Closed his eyes and a tear fell) They killed my previous mate and my own parents....

Verax: They took everything I had loved for so much... those humans hates my own kind... only my species for some reason... Since then, my hate for humanity was solid... all i wanted was to burn the world against them all for what they did... so i lived in seclusion for almost all my life...
Ashley: (Feel his pain) Verax I.... I never knew you had a tragedy experience....

Ashley: (Continues crying hard)
Verax: (Holding her head pressing gently on him) Shhshh.... Everything is okay my girl... I will take care of you, I will heal your pain...
I gave her the best hug I ever gave to a human. I'm calming her down and I know how much the pain she is carrying for her recent lost. Is grief she is feeling.... But her pain is more than mines, I stayed there comforting her for minutes. I knew everything that happened.... Everything in her past.
Ashley: (Crying even more) You know me... about everything....
Verax: I know you more than you do to me Ashley.... But only what happened in these months, i don't know your entire life or everything you did... you are grieving... Pain will always be there with us.... such as death will come to us any day.
Ashley: (Still being hug by him crying still) Verax... I want to have a dragon like you with me forever.... I want to trust you with everything...
Verax: (hugging her still) I will be with you forever Ashley as I said... I'm your guardian...
Ashley: (Looks at him in his face and he wipes a tear from her face) Now after you told me everything about your past... God, now I very much understand your dispute with me... why you "Hate" me back then...
Verax: All I want is justice.... against those who took everything that I loved... I was... lost, I lost myself on you... But none of this is your fault my girl... None....
Ashley: (Place her head again on his chest and he hugs her calming her still) Im really so sorry now for even call you like that Verax, I'm so sorry for calling you lizar---

Then... we hear noises coming from somewhere in the lake... I proceed to look around
Ashley: What was that??
Verax: (Holding her in his chest protecting her) I heard it too... (Looking around and hear it again and they hear a distant voice like a young person saying "Mom! Look!! I found it!!") Someone's in here!
Ashley: It sounds like a young person like a boy?? And I hear calling his mom.
Verax: We should investigate who's here... lets get out of these waters.
We exited the lake and we are now going to follow the chatting because we just heard this person's mom talking.
Verax: (Cast a spell to dry Ashley from being wet) There, you should feel dry very soon. (Found the area where the voices are coming) I know where they are coming!
Ashley: Ill follow you.
Verax: Walk steady... do not make a sound.... It seems the sounds are coming from behind those woods.
Me and her we were walking slowly, and I was crouching almost touching the grass and she was beside me holding on my side and when we were at the bushes, we peak whats behind it and we see a young human boy like in his twelve years just.... Like trying to pick up a very bright crystal stone that is glowing orange and some glowing blue sticking on a rock.
Ashley: (whispered) Verax... who is that??
Verax: (Looking at her and whispered) I don't know....
Strange Boy: Umm! Mom! I heard voices!!
Ashley: Shit.... Shhhh!
A deep female voice replies to him.
Female voice: Are you sure?? If you feel anyone is near you just run towards me! Do you have those crystal Alvir?
Alvir: Im working on it! Did you find any??
Female voice: I found one yes! Im pulling it out now! Get yours and we look for more!
Alvir: Alright mom!
We keep watching the boy using a small pickaxe and trying to break the strange glowing crystals from the rock but somehow, his mother starts sensing someone is near her son.
Female voice: Alvir! I sense theres someone near you!
Alvir: Really! Then come here, im scare now!!
Ashley: Wait Is us!!
Alvir: Oh Gods!! Who are you!?
Ashley: Im Ashley! And this one is Verax! My dragon master! We are no threat.
Verax: Hey kid....
Alvir: Well is good to see friendly people around here! Me and mom we are researching these crystals at the moment.
Ashley: (Wondering why the kid is not scare of Verax but proceed to ignore) Where is your mother? We heard you and her talking.
Alvir: Mom is near! Mom!! You there!?
Female voice: Yes I am! Im coming now I heard the two talking to you.
Ashley: She sound like.... Someone like in her young adult age?
Alvir: Oh she is! Her name is Silah!
Verax: Silah?? That doesn't sound...
Ashley: That's a beautiful name!!
Alvir: and she is beautiful too!
Verax: (Sensing something) I sense something coming Ashley!! (Protecting Ashley) Whos there!?
Alvir: Is mom coming now.
Silah: (From the woods) I am! (She exited the woods as she is walking to them and is sitting in front of them)
Ashley: (Shock) You are Silah!?!

Alvir: Well what do you think of my mother!?

Silah: (Draconic laugh) Oh is a long story but I can sit here and tell you our story if you two are interested.
Ashley: I am! Tell us!
Verax: yeah, I want to know this! (He sits and Ashley lay on him)
Silah: (Sitting) Well son get in here lets tell these two how all of this started!
Alvir: Sure! (He sat on one of her arms)
Silah: So basically.... Alvir is not like my biological son to make things clear.... I adopted him long ago.
Ashley: You adopted him??
Silah: Yes... So let me give you all how all of this happened.
She started explaining to us her and Alvir story.
Silah: It was twelve years ago, I was flying around the province of Moravale and this province is were my tribe belongs to, we are the Gladiator Tribe and we protect humans in this province from the Crimson Dominion. But one day, one of the big villages we go around, it was ambushed by these High Elves, and they burned everything down and used some kind of dark mist that vaporized and disintegrated every human it comes to touch. Lots of people died that day even childrens... I landed there hours later after the attack. And I see nothing but horror... I saw houses burned to rubble and ashes everywhere.... My eyes were watered as I almost was about to cry, and I felt a tear from that moment... that the city we use to visit a lot and protect the most is now gone and destroyed in a matter of seconds without us even notice... as soon I was going to take off defeated.... I saw not all hope in that village was lost... I heard a baby crying somewhere and I recognize it was human and I started to follow its cries of help and it leads to a house burned completely and I started desperate moving the rubble away and I look to a crate that was shielded by a magical barrier maybe its mom protecting him and he was there inside.... Crying for his mother...
Ashley: (Tearing) Alvir....?
Silah: (Nodded) He was..... so I manage to deactivate the magical barrier around his crate and I was calming him down.
[Alvir crying]
Silah holding him with one hand claw and looks at him: "Everything is going to be alright little one.... You will stay with me forever now"
Silah: I took off with him in my hand as I was bringing him to my tribe. My father asked me if I was being serious in taking him as mines and I told him that im willing to adopt Alvir as my son.
Ashley: Im so sorry to hear that boy.
Verax: Tragic story for him.... I never liked humans for reasons I had but ill admit I feel sad for what happened to him.
Alvir: Oh don't worry I really understand why most dragons do not like us at all.
Verax: You know?
Alvir: I do, mom told me some horrible things humans do to your kind and I don't like it either.
Silah: Some humans kills dragons just for the fun of it but also we have dragons that kills humans for the fun of it too.
Ashley: So basically theres good humans and bad humans same goes for the dragons.
Silah: Correct... No one of us is perfect in this world, our kind behaves much like humans... we are just as much people like them.... We have emotions like them.
Verax: I never think about it in that way... But I just cannot still believe a dragon adopting a human as their son.
Silah: Because I wanted to do something different, see most of us enslave humans to do our bidding but my tribe is different. We don't enslave them and we had a good alliance with humans of this province.
Ashley: Wheres your tribe?
Silah: Gone.... Destroyed by the High Elves... most of us are now scattered and hopefully trying to rebuild what we lost.
Verax: No wonder why everyone hates these bastards... I want to extinct them all.
Silah: Oh! Everyone hates High Elves! Those supremacists think they are god beings of this world.
Ashley: Do you live on Firewall Kingdom?
Silah: (Disgusted) Gods!! Woman!! what did you just said!?
Alvir: I refuse to live there!!

Silah: I don't know if you two live there but I must say this, Firewall Kingdom needs to treat better their human citizens.

Silah: Unfair you said!? I say this law discriminates against humans so badly and many Firewall Kingdom rebellions has to do because of this law! Your kingdom has no social equality and King Draco is shifting his stance slowly from a monarchy to a draconic authoritarianism imperialist.
Ashley: No! Are you for real!?
Silah: Yes, my dear! My tribe and me we use one of these strange obelisks found on these ruins and we foresee a glimpse of the future. Firewall Kingdom will wage war with several races including humans but we saw something else...
Verax: Whats that?
Silah: We saw and hear voices of a suppose dragon queen that will emerge during this time, but we don't know who this dragon at all is!
Ashley: Okay im now concerned about Firewall Kingdom Verax..... If this is true I do not want to be part of it!
Verax: Im not sure about this but are you being serious this is true?
Silah: Well look what you have told me a few moments ago you said you treated her like a slave, that will be ten times worse when Draco decides to change soon his stance and traits and I assure you, it will be the worst war Dracoria will see.
Ashley: Verax... we need to do something.
Verax: Girl is alright I don't think this will happen now and we need to investigate if her visions are true.
Silah: Well im just only saying but ive warned you all.
Alvir: Mom, did you collect that crystal?
Silah: Oh yes I did my love!
Ashley: You two are mining crystal around here?
Silah: Yes, im researching the mysteries of these crystals because they are magical but according to them, they say these crystals are powerful and can be dangerous if not use properly.
Verax: Who's them?
Silah: The creators of these ruins with the Obelisks and The Eye..... we just call them Creators that's it.
Ashley: Do you guys know how they look like? Are these ruins made by humans?
Silah: Nobody knows who built these, but we just call them creators since their race is a mystery.
Verax: I see.... Im too researching about them since im collecting some of their artifacts.
Silah: If you want you can go to the ruins that is in Firevalley. Maybe you unlock something. Well sweetheart do you have the crystals?
Alvir: Oh I do! I finally removed them from the rock while you were explaining to them our story!
Silah: Good job! Do you want to head back home?
Alvir: I do! We have been mining for like hours!
Silah: I know we are! (Looking at them) Well we are leaving, is so good to see you two!

Me and Ashley we are still in shock and we cannot believe that theres a dragon being so mother to her human adoptive son.
Ashley: That's has to be the most cutest thing ive ever saw since I arrived here in this world.
Verax: I agree! She was.... So mother to him in a way I never seen.
Ashley: That's mother's love Verax, even him being adoptive she loves him like her true child. But now I am confused that you said you want to move from the kingdom now?
Verax: I do... I've wanted to live away from civilization and have my own place to live and be solitary forever, only living with you...
Ashley: To be honest, I think i just remain for the rest of my life living with you...
Verax: (Smiles) A lifelong companion like you would be lovely... I'm glad you are with me Ashley....

Verax: Always... Come climb on my back and we head off to explore, I too want to find a new home for us....

She climbed and she is ready and I took off to the skies and I started flying through mountains looking for a good place to live, and I had an idea about living on the southern islets.
