Neuvillette's lips locked with yours, his hands exploring the curves of your body.

As the heat between you intensified, you gently reminded him, "Darling, the trial is approaching."

Neuvillette's breath was heavy as he whispered between kisses, "We have a few minutes, my love."

Your body tingled with desire as he led you to the nearby desk.

With burning eyes, you said, "Alright, but it has to be quick. I don't want to keep anyone waiting."

Neuvillette's voice was sultry as he replied, "Don't worry, darling. I'll make it worth our while."

Your hands explored his broad chest while his fingers traced the curves of your body through that seductive, tight skirt.

Your lips locked in a fiery embrace, and you couldn't help but moan softly.

With a heated gaze, you managed to say, "We really should hurry, Neuvillette."

Neuvillette's eyes smoldered as he unbuttoned your blouse and whispered, "I promise, my love, this won't take long."

His long fingers trailed up your stockings, sending shivers of anticipation down your spine.

With a fiery hunger, Neuvillette lifted you onto the edge of his desk, his hands sliding up your thighs.

His lips moved from yours to the curve of your neck, leaving a trail of hungry kisses.

He whispered, "We can make this quick."

You gasped, your breath hitching, as his touch sent electric sensations through your body.

"But Neuvillette," you purred, "the trial..."

He nipped at your earlobe and spoke with a sultry tone, "We have a few minutes, and I promise you won't be disappointed."

The urgency in his voice and the lingering desire made it impossible for you to resist.

Neuvillette forcefully pushed you onto the desk, hoisting your legs over his shoulders as he leaned in with intense desire.

His hands pushed up your short, form-fitting skirt and then roughly undoing the buttons of your blouse.

Before Neuvillette could zip his pants open, the door violently swings open, and Furina storms into the room, exclaiming,

"We're running behind schedule, and... OH!"

Her face flushes crimson as she instinctively shields her eyes and stammers,

"W-WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING!???"

You and Neuvillette quickly disentangled, faces flushed.

"Furina!" Neuvillette stammered, "This is not what it looks like."

You hastily adjusted your clothing, embarrassment painting your cheeks.

"Furina, it's not what you think," you said, attempting to explain.

Furina mumbled something incoherent and then rushed out of the room, leaving you and Neuvillette both flustered.

After Furina's hasty exit, you and Neuvillette exchanged a look, a mix of amusement and embarrassment.

"Well, that was certainly unexpected," Neuvillette said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

You chuckled softly. "It seems like our timing couldn't have been worse. We should probably get going to the trial."

Neuvillette nodded, his eyes still holding a mischievous glint. "Yes, let's not keep everyone waiting."

As you both left the room, you couldn't help but smile at the sudden interruption.

It was certainly a memorable start to the day.

Neuvillette's heart raced with a mix of excitement and nerves.

Today was a momentous occasion.

His mate, the God of Judgment, also his role model, was attending the trial.

Even though it was ostensibly work-related, the significance wasn't lost on him.

As he glanced up from his reserved Ludex seat, his eyes fell on you, the genuine Hydro Archon.

You were standing next to the VIP seat reserved for Furina.

The room buzzed with anticipation as the trial was about to begin.

The trial revolved around the 11th of the Harbingers, often referred to as Childe.

In the lead-up to the trial, you spent the previous afternoon meticulously preparing for the complex case of serial disappearances.

The Harbinger, a formidable figure in Teyvat, was now the accused party.

You wished to ask Neuvillette about the nature of a Harbinger, but the mountain of work had left it unaddressed.

A quick glance at Furina made you doubt she would have answers either.

Neuvillette rose from his seat and cast a stern gaze upon Childe.

"Mr. Tartaglia, I shall reiterate. Are you prepared to acknowledge your involvement in the series of disappearances?"

Childe appeared bemused by the proceedings.

"Honestly, I'm quite baffled by the intricacies of your nation's legal system, and I'm even more puzzled about what I'm being charged with."

He replied, shrugging nonchalantly.

"However, I have heard that individuals facing charges can opt for a duel to prove their innocence. Is that the case here?"

Childe inquired, a hint of anticipation in his eyes.

"If I accept the charges, does it mean I get to engage in an all-out bout with the Champion Duelist Clorinde? That sounds like an offer too enticing to refuse."

He mused, sporting a sly grin.

His attention then shifted to Clorinde, who stood at Furina's left.

"Our private sparring session was a bit underwhelming. She was clearly holding back... Real dissapointing."

As you heard Childe's mention of a duel with the Champion Duelist Clorinde, your mind couldn't help but connect the dots.

'Champion Duelist?'

The thought raced through your mind as you recalled Neuvillette's words from yesterday, his confession about Wriothesley's behavior.

The same Champion Duelist who Wriothesley had been spending time with, and whom you had learned had cheated on you.

Your gaze fixated on Clorinde, and an inexplicable wave of pain and envy washed over you.

The pain inside you was inexplicable, a fierce jealousy that gnawed at your heart.

The emotional turmoil felt even more overwhelming than the physical pain your brother's beatings had inflicted upon you.

It was as if the old saying rang true:

Words could cut deeper than any physical harm.

You shook your head, trying to banish the thoughts of Wriothesley from your mind and refocused on Neuvillette, your comforting presence.

You reminded yourself that the past with Wriothesley was over, and any thoughts of a rekindling were futile.

You scolded yourself inwardly for allowing the memories to affect you so deeply.

Furina, however, couldn't help but notice the shift in your demeanor.

She sensed the dark aura surrounding you and felt a pang of disappointment.

Concerned that she might have unintentionally caused a problem, she stood up and turned her attention to Childe, putting on a brave face as she addressed the situation.

"Hey, don't you understand? You're currently the prime suspect for a major case! This isn't the place for you to be looking for fights."

Furina put her hands on her hips, satisfied with her statement.

She gazed at you, but instead of seeing a good smile, you looked disappointed at her, and you slightly shook your head.

What did she do wrong now again?? Furina asks herself.

Childe raised his brows,

"Ooh? Sounds like the Hydro Archon wants to lecture me on the ways of the opera house..."

He chuckled, "Then why don't you duel me, too? I'm the kind of student that learns best in the heat of battle."

You stepped forward, your heels clicking resoundingly on the wooden floor, the echoes hushing the entire opera hall.

"Silence, Defendant. It is not only utterly disrespectful to disrupt the trial but also to challenge the Hydro Archon during these proceedings."

You declared, your voice retaining a cold, emotionless edge.

Your gaze bore into Childe, sending an icy shiver through the hall, making everyone present fall into an uneasy silence.

"Your insolence is not welcome here," you continued, your words cutting through the tense air.

"The trial is not a playground for your amusement, Mr. Tartaglia. I suggest you cooperate if you wish to prove your innocence."

Your eyes bore into his, conveying the weight of your authority as the God of Judgement.

Childe, taken aback by your unwavering presence, nodded in acknowledgment, a hint of respect in his expression.

Furina was amazed at you.

This is how the God of Judgement would silence a defendant while also reminding them of the ways of the court.

You were truly amazing, just like the tales.

You stepped back with a sigh.

The trial must proceed without any further interruptions, and you were determined to see it through.

Before the trial could proceed, Navia barged in, exclaiming,

"That case had nothing to do with him! You've got the wrong man!"

Furina glanced at you, sensing your internal frustration as another person disrupted the court proceedings, treating it like a drama show.

She refocused her attention on the trial, observing your overwhelming anger, which was genuinely terrifying.

As Furina recognized the intensity of your emotions, she felt the ground subtly quiver and the heavens tremble above.

Neuvillette, aware of your seething fury, took charge of the courtroom to both maintain order and pacify your turbulent emotions.

He directed his gaze toward Navia, the disruptor of the court's proceedings.

"Miss Navia, this is the second instance in which you have interrupted the court. While I previously tolerated your behavior due to your status as a key eyewitness, that was an exception rather than the standard court protocol. Know that I can charge you with contempt of court for your disruptive interjections."

Your gaze narrowed, the smile long gone from your face as you watched Navia flagrantly flout one court rule after another.

What a bothersome nuisance.

If you were in the Hydro Archon's position, you would have dealt with her long ago.

Amidst the back and forth, Navia reopened the case, asserting that Childe was innocent and that someone else was the true culprit.

Neuvillette promptly dispatched the accused individual to Opera Epiclese.

Watching this further exchange was giving you a headache.

With a heavy heart, you contemplated the fate of your beloved citizens, the Lochfolk.

Their kindness and purity stood in stark contrast to the current situation.

You still remembered the accidental birth of the first Oceanid, the consequence of your first tear shed in sorrow.

Now, contaminated waters were driving the Oceanids away, and others were leaving due to their refusal to accept Focalors as the new Hydro Archon, clinging to the fading memories of the past.

The task of purifying the ocean and the sky loomed large, especially with the looming threat of the Primordial Sea's voracious hunger, ready to consume you.

Your time was limited, and you knew you had to prepare Furina to take on the mantle of the Hydro Archon, one who could truly govern the waters and comprehend the essence of judgment.

Sacrificing yourself to protect your cherished nation appeared to be the inevitable path forward.

Your mind raced as you contemplated the strange contraption before you, the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale.

Those tears it bear bore an uncanny resemblance to the hearts of the Lochfolk (Oceanids).

Could it be possible that they were indeed...?

A troubling realization crept into your thoughts, suggesting that the person next to you, the one you knew as Furina, might not truly be who she appeared to be, but rather, she could be a...

Your introspection was abruptly halted as Neuvillette pronounced Marcel guilty, and the Gardes swiftly whisked him away.

The weight of the moment hung heavily in the air, the bitter taste of tragedy seeping into the very fabric of the courtroom.

As Tartaglia prepared to depart, Neuvillette's intervention halted his exit, now entangling him in the web of accusations that were once directed at him.

The tension in the room escalated as Neuvillette, in a surprising turn of events, input his information into the Oratrice.

The machine's proclamation of 'Guilty' for Tartaglia sent shockwaves through the courtroom, rendering the spectators speechless.

"Huh!? This has never happened before, the Oratrice... actually returned a different verdict from the Chief Justice..."

Murmured an audience member, the bewildered sentiment echoing among the gathered crowd.

The air thickened with uncertainty, and the implications of this unprecedented judgment hung heavily over the assembled onlookers, casting a shadow of doubt on the justice system itself.

"The judgment of the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale is, by law, the final verdict of the court. We must accept the guilty verdict."

Neuvillette said,

"Gardes, please take the suspect into custody per court protocol"

Childe descended from the witness stand and confronted a phalanx of Gardemeks encircling him.

His voice dripped with sarcasm,

"So this is how justice is done in Fontaine," he chuckled.

With a surge of electricity, Childe unleashed the power of his Electro Delusion, striking down the Gardemeks in rapid succession.

But as he vanquished those on the stage, more Gardemeks emerged, prompting a sinister smile from Childe.

"Heh..." he muttered, initiating his Foul Legacy Transformation.

Furina gazed in astonishment, while you, your eyes ablaze, recognized this power, the same power that had once poisoned you.

It was the malevolent influence of the Abyss.

You tensed, poised to administer your judgment upon Childe at a moment's notice.

However, before he could complete his transformation, Neuvillette sprang from his seat, crashing down on Tartaglia with an unknown Hydro power, rendering him unconscious.

A ripple of Hydro energy surged across the stage, leaving all spectators in shock and awe.

As the Gardemeks restrained Tartaglia, Neuvillette gazed down,

"If you have been wronged, I apologize. We will uncover the truth."

Neuvillette's words were firm, "But the court's protocols must be followed."

Walking away, he wiped blood from his face, his demeanor resolute.

The Gardemeks moved in to apprehend Childe, who remained passive as they approached.

Neuvillette continued his departure, leaving the stage behind.

You raced down to Neuvillette's side, embracing him tightly.

"Neuvillette, are you hurt?" you asked with concern.

"I'm fine, my love," Neuvillette reassured you, gently kissing your lips.

Your fingers brushed over the wound on his face, inflicted by Childe's attack.

A soft glow emanated from your touch, and the wound dissolved, erased by the abyssal power and replaced by unblemished skin on his handsome face.

Embracing you back, Neuvillette's gaze met yours, a mixture of gratitude and affection shining in his eyes.

"Thank you, my dear. You always have a way of soothing my troubles," he murmured, his voice warm against your ear.

In an opulent chamber adorned with elegance, a graceful lady reclined on a plush azure couch, gracefully sipping her tea.

"I shall have an appointment shortly," she remarked, her voice a blend of velvety smoothness and frosty precision.

The Fatui Agent inclined slightly, his tone deferential, "Would you like assistance with any preparations, madam?"

"No need. I shall manage it independently," she declared, raising the teacup to her lips.

'I must meet with Furina, the Hydro Archon. She resides in the heart of Fontaine, yet what intrigues me is how she often appears more like a celebrity than a working Archon,' she pondered.

"I apologize for the interruption, Lady Arleccino, but we've received... peculiar reports concerning the surveillance team."

The Fatui Agent hesitated, uncertain about the adequacy of the information for the Knave, the Fourth of the Eleven Harbingers.

Arleccino sighed, her tone brimming with impatience, "Get to the point." She demanded, and the Fatui Agent swallowed hard.

"Yesterday, three of our operatives dispatched to the Palais Mermonia reported witnessing unusual events. After Furina, Neuvillette, and an unidentified individual entered the Ludex's Office... this stranger, whom we later identified as Y/N, apparently claimed Furina wished to discover her true identity. Then, in the blink of an eye, Furina was found in Y/N's arms, weeping on the floor. The positions of all three had shifted within that moment."

The Fatui Agent explained, placing the incriminating photographs on the table for Arleccino's scrutiny.

Arleccino arched an eyebrow, doubting the veracity of the report before taking the photographs.

Her gaze traversed the photos, lingering longest on the image of you. Your beauty did not escape her notice.

"Y/N," she murmured your name thoughtfully, her slender finger tracing over your form in the picture.

As her children had described, you were truly striking and breathtaking.

"Y/N, her name? She served as the legal counsel for Lyney and Lynette. I must express my gratitude in person," Arleccino mused, rolling your name off her tongue.

Her scrutiny then shifted to the second photo, capturing Furina's bedroom, where Furina was once again found in your embrace, this time within her own bed. Neuvillette occupied a chair nearby.

"Oh? It seems Y/N and Furina are rather close," Arleccino commented.

"Yes, that was our initial impression as well. However, we later determined that Y/N has no known connection to Furina and the two have never met," the Fatui Agent explained.

Arleccino set down the photos and her tea, her fingers tapping her chin as she contemplated the perplexing situation.

'Indeed, this is most peculiar. Too peculiar. What's more, the swift exchange of their positions, with Furina crying in Y/N's arms, suggests a deeper connection between them, despite their supposed unfamiliarity.'

She thought, narrowing her eyes as her sharp mind delved deeper into the mystery.

"Any additional information on
Y/N?" Arleccino inquired, her tone icy and unyielding.

The Fatui Agent hesitated before responding, "Y/N began working as a personal secretary for Neuvillette at the Palais Mermonia yesterday..."

Arleccino cut him off. "I want useful information."

"I... I... No, we haven't gathered any significant information about her as of yet. But we will-" the agent stammered.

"I will take care of it personally," Arleccino declared, her voice as frigid as ice.

"You may go."

The Fatui Agent promptly exited the room, leaving Arleccino to her thoughts.

She couldn't help but feel a certain eagerness to meet you, curious about what secrets you might hold and what role you played in this intriguing puzzle.
