It's Monday today the written test part begins.
TIME SKIP
the written test were easy. Kinda a pain we had 3 days of them though. At least I didn't have to talk to Bakugo, he just keeps on being a problem. We were chill for like two days and then he hurt me because of his stupid ego.
Never mind that, today is the practice. All the teachers were lined up. We are probably fighting the teachers. That would be two students per teacher but one would be alone or a group of three.
Aizawa does his speech about possibly failing this exam and not going to training camp and blah blah blah.
Then I see Nezu popping out of Aizawa's scarf.
The hell...
He announces that the exam will be different then what my classmates have figured.
"You students will be working in pairs and your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA teachers!"
"But principal Nezu? Wouldn't that leave someone on their own or in a group of three?" Momo asks
"Yes that's correct! Y/n!" Nezu looks at me
"Huh?" I wasn't paying attention what is going on...
"We have contacted one of your old sparring partners! You will be facing off alone against them!"
Who? Please don't tell me it's Natasha...
"First, yaoyorozu and todoroki are a team. Against me." Aizawa starts
"Then we have Midoriya paired with Bakugo"
Both of them gasps
Good choice Nezu...
"And their opponent is..."
We see a shadow descending from the sky
"I am here to fight!" All might smirks
The boys look shaken to the core
Heh...
"L/n. You are up against..."
I see red wings also descending from the sky.
Of course... I sweat drop. Hawks lands and stares at me. I just give him a glare.
"Hey baby bird" he smirks
"Hawks..." my teeth are gritted and in a scowl
"What's up baby bird" he walks towards me not wiping the smirk off his face
"Hey hawks..." I sigh
"YOU KNOW HAWKS!!!??" My class shouts
"Yep! I have known baby bird since she was little! We are best friends! Right baby bird?"
"Yea we are..." I glare at him for making me center of attention.
Shoto looks surprised and Bakugo looks dumbfounded.
"Don't say anything you'll regret" I whisper to Keigo
"Aww you're no fun baby bird!" He whines wrapping a wing around me
"Whatever"
"Stop pouting!"
"Stop calling me baby bird"
"Only when your taller than me" he smirks
"Shut up"
"Or you can greet me like normal and I will stop" he smiles evilly
"You're not implying?-"
He nods
I look at the class and sigh. I turn to Keigo and hold my arms out for a hug. Keigo lifts me into a hug and twirls me.
"Hey Keigo." I say flatly as he is twirling me. Look to get down but he stops me
"You are forgetting something"
Dammit. I look to the class and say
"You laugh, you die" I glare at them
Some look unfazed and some look terrified
I turn back to Keigo and give him a peck on his cheek
"Love you Keigo..." I grumble putting my head into his shoulder.
"Love you too baby bird!"
"Quiet down!"
"AWWWWW!!!!" I hear the class squealing.
Help me...
I blush and hide my face in Keigo's neck
"Come on baby bird they are just teasing!"
"You do that to me every time I see you. I don't need the class doing it you stupid bird."
He lets me down and I don't look at the class. I feel bakugo's gaze in the back if my head. Can't he just stop...
"Anyways... Sato, Kirishima you're up"
The rest of the class headed to the waiting room. I walk over to Shoto who looks deep in thought.
"thinking about what you're gonna do?" I ask
"Yes. Me and Yaoyorozu's quirks are very different and there are challenges when it comes to Mr Aizawa's quirk"
"That's why they paired you. You have to work together. Mr Aizawa's quirk is also is a good pair for you guys. He is an underground hero so he specializes in stealth and agility"
"He is a hard opponent."
"Since you weren't able to see much of his quirk in action during the USJ action, I imagine you don't know his tricks?"
"I don't... dammit..." he curses
"You'll do fine Sho" I say
I'm guessing they will be putting me somewhere where Keigo can move easily. Maybe one of those malls where the middle is open. That gives him an advantage. I could use my vines to propel me down floors. Or I could fall... but that would leave people asking questions
Kirishima and Sato's match is up. It's my turn...
I walk to my arena. To my luck, I was in a mall with the middle open. The escape is at the bottom. Keigo is most likely above me and if I try to flee he's too fast and I'm in one of the middle floors. This will be a challenge...
"3...2...1... START!"
I make my way carefully and quietly to the stair well. Keigo can use his feathers to sense vibrations and movements. He most likely has many feathers on each floor. Including the stairwells. I should thank Natasha for improving my stealth or else Keigo would have caught me by now.
I make my way down the stairwell, and then I spot a feather. He can sense breathing as well. Too bad for him I can hold my breath for 3 minutes. I quickly make my way past that feather without breathing. I make it to the floor below the previous and peek through the door. I see Keigo in the middle scouting for me, he is also trying to draw me in.
I make a small ball out of my vines, throw it and make a run for it. Of course he doesn't fall for it and sees me.
"You know that wouldn't work on me. So? Why did you do it?" He asks making a blade out of feathers.
"I just wanted to have some fun" I tease him
"We both know that not true. Come on baby bird. Why don't you surrender and end this."
"Nah. I'm good."
"Suit yourself"
He lunges at me and tries to sweep my feet. I jump and kick him in the chin. He grabs my foot and throws me over his shoulder. Instead of falling on his shoulder, I flip away. I land smoothly on the ground without a sound and hide. I watch him scan the area and I secretly wrap a vine around his ankles. He falls but cuts the vines. I jump out behind him and send a vine his way. He turns around and grabs the vine.
"You can do more than that baby bird" he smirks
"I know I can" I copy his smirk
I make the vine wrap around his wrist and I send him flying into another wall across the floor.
As soon as I do that I jump over the railing of that floor and free fall in the open middle of the building.
IN THE OBSERVATION ROOM
SHOTO POV
our whole class plus the faculty watch Y/n free fall.
"W-what is she doing!?" Midoriya shouts
"She will be fine Midoriya. Don't worry"
"How do you know that Todoroki!?"
"We have been friends since she was little. I know how her brain works"
"Pfft" I hear Bakugo laugh
"What are you laughing at?"
"Nothing just you and your mushy crap"
"Come on bro! That isn't manly!" Kirishima drags Bakugo away
BACK TO Y/N POV
at the last second my vines grab onto the railing of the second floor and I swing into the bottom floor. As I hit the ground with speed and I barrel roll and start running towards the exit. Then hawks flies in and blocks it.
I throw many vines at him and he blocks it. He shoots out many feathers around us and everything goes dark. He must have turned off all the lights with his feathers. Dammit. He is able to sense my movements without seeing anything making him able to blind his opponent. Luckily for me, HYDRA trained me to be able to use my senses to fight in the dark. Keigo doesn't know that.
BACK IN THE OBSERVATION ROOM
3RD PERSON POV
class 1-A becomes confused because of the change of light.
"What happened?" Uraraka questions
"Hawks turned out the lights. Don't worry, the cameras have night and heat vision." Aizawa says
"Wait is Y/n closing her eyes!?" Kaminari shouts in surprise
"Yes. Her senses are impeccable!" Midnight observes
BACK TO Y/N POV
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I hear feet running towards me. I throw a punch and I hit something. Most likely his face. I hear the sound of his visors cracking.
"H-how?"
"I still keep some of my skills secret."
I hear him run up again and I throw a kick. I hit something else. Then I hear the sound of Keigo falling on the ground. I immediately grab the cuffs I was given and cuff him. The lights turn on and I realize where I hit Keigo with my foot.
Keigo is lying on the floor with his hands covering his sensitive spot.
"L-low b-blow b-ba-baby b-bird..."
"Well... you did steal my chili fries so this is pay back"
"Y/N L/N Passes The Exam"
I toss Keigo over my shoulder and take him to recovery girl. Before I do that I stop by the observation room.
I open the door and all eyes turn to me.
"Uh... Aizawa? Where is recovery girl?"
"OMG Y/N THAT WAS SO COOL!!" Mina shouts.
The class starts complementing me, asking about Hawks, wondering about my skill, and some are confused on how I have a full grown man with wings on my shoulder without falling. I ignore them and walk towards the teachers. Aizawa tells me where recovery girl is and I walk out the door with Keigo on my shoulder.
When I get to Recovery Girl's office I dump Keigo on one of the beds and I sit next to him on a chair. I close my eyes and drift off.
TIME SKIP
I open my eyes and see Toshinori and Midoriya talking. Of course Midoriya is in one of the beds. Always breaking his bones.
"Hey Toshi..." I say
"WHAAA!!! Y-Y/N ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!!" Midoriya wails
Me and Toshinori chuckle
"It's okay young Midoriya. Y/n knows our secret"
"Oh"
"Toshinori you really need to train him to not break his bones" I glare at him
"S-sorry Y/n" he sweat drops
"Wait. Y/n? How do you know Hawks and All Might?" Midoriya asks
"I found her when she was a baby and she met Hawks when he was a boy and they became friends" Toshinori explains
"So Mr Aizawa lied about him being a sparring partner?"
"Well I do train with him every once in a while but yeah I guess" I answer
"Stop talking like I'm not here" Keigo mumbles
"Oh. I didn't know you were awake Keigo"
"The least you could do is pay attention after you kicked me in the crotch" he glares
"You stole my chili fries" I glare back
"Hawks, don't start anything. You know how it always ends"
"I'm so confused..." Midoriya trails off.
"So Hawks also know about your- you know..." Midoriya asks
"Yes he knows. He won't shut up about me making friends while I'm here"
"Friends lead to boyfriends and I said none until your 40!" Keigo states
"I'm not getting a boy friend" I groan
"That what they all say!"
"Oh hush!" I say smacking him in the face
3RD PERSON
"They have a weird relationship..." Midoriya says while observing the two bickering heroes
"It's always been like that" all might sweat drops
Then the two bystanders hear hawks groan. They look over to see hawks with a bloody nose and Y/n with crossed arms.
