By the night the gang was crossing through a town, where they could not find anyone to their surprise. They walked towards the dock where Glissle saw the water was not cleaned and frowned a little
"This is a weird city." Glissle said
"Lot of factories but no people." Glissle said
Brock opened a book and said,"This place is called Gringy city I guess."
"Gringy city? Never heard of it." Ash said
"It used to be a busy and lively place, with all this factories here." Brock aaid
"Yeah this city kind of went overboard with factories. Pollution runined the air and water of the area." Glissle said
"That is sad." Yellow said
"Pikachuu." Pikachu said in a low voice.
Ash noticed something with pikachu was not looking good, his face looks red.
"Pikachu are you okay. " Ash asked
"Chu(No)" Pikach said before he collapsed on the ground.
"Pikachu. " Ash said and knelt down and took pikachu in his arms.
"We need to get pikachu to the pokemon center." Brock said
"Let's go." Ash said before he and his friends ran towards the pokemon center at a high speed."

The gang ran into pokemon center and found the place was empty but it could be how late the time was right now. Ash rang the bell on the counter, and they waited for Nurse Joy. Nurse walked in looking very tired.
"Hey Nurse Joy sorry to wake you up. But our pokemon are in need of treatment." Ash said
"Do you kids know what time it is?" Nurse Joy scolded a little
"Sorry. " Ash apologized
"We just got here." Yellow said
Suddenly all the lights in the pokemon center turned off and all of them looked around in confusion
"What is going on." Brock asked
"I have no idea. " Nurse Joy said
"Oh no." Nurse joy said and quickly ran to other room and they quickly followed her and they got inside a room where many pokemonb were in beds with glass on top of them, in sleep.
"What happened to those pokemon?" Ash asked
"They are in intensive care. If we don't get power back soon well I just don't want to think what will happen." Nurse Joy replied, worriedly.
Ash gazed at all of the pokemon that were in the incubators. He knew that if they didn't solve the problem soon, the pokemon here may die. But Ash wasn't going to let that happen.
"Don't worry, Nurse Joy. We will go and find out the problem." Ash said assuring Nurse Joy.
"Thank you." Nurse said smiling.

The gang left the pokemon center immediately and went to officer Jenny's office.
"Officer Jenny, we have a problem. The pokemon center has a black out and if the power does not come back on soon then the pokemon will die." Glissle said
"That is the problem right now. I have been trying to contact the powe plant but no one is answering." Officer Jenny said
"Officer Jenny where is the power plant located?" Ash asked
Officer Jenny pointed to a factory and said,"it is that big building."
"Thank you." Ash said
The gang headed to the power plant.

It didn't took them long to find the power plant. Officer Jenny did say that the power plant was the biggest building in Gringy city.
"Something tells me this is where most of the pollution is coming from." Ash said
Yellow noticed a stream.
She was disgusted by the water and said,"Ugh look at that, this water is as filthu as the air."
"Come on we should hurry up." Glissle said

The inside of the power plant was very dark and abondend. Luckily the gang had flashlights on them.
"Hello, I anyboy here." Ash called out but no one answerd.
"Come on." He led them in the hall.
"Something is really weird. Why is not anybody working here." Brock said looking at the map of the building.
"It looks like the control room is down this way." Glissle said pointed down in the hall.
"Let's go then." Ash said and they started to walk down the hall.

After a few minutes of walking, Yellow suddenly grabbed Ash's arm as they all stopped walking.
"Something is following us." Yellow said.
Yellow looked behind her and they looked over her shoulder, but no one was there.
"Really? Cause I don't see anything yellow." Glissle said
"But it was jut there I swear." Yellow said
Ash sighed at this. Then he somehow sensed that something was behind him and turned around to see what sort of looked like a magnet, with a metal body.
"Hey it's a pokemon." Ash said, taking his pokedesk and scanned the pokemon.
[Magnemite,the magnet pokemon. It is able to float through the air.]

"What is a Magnemite doing here?" Brock asked
"Don't know." Glissle said
"Hey you don't suppose that Magnemite caused black out, do you?" Yellow said
Brock shook his head and said,"I don't think so."
"Beside I don't think this one Magnemite could do that by itshelf." Ash said
"Hey Magnemite, I do not suppose you know what's happend do you?" He asked the magent pokemon.
Magnemite Gazed at Ash, then it suddenly froze and flew off in a hurry.
"I was just asking." Ash said
At that moment, he smelled something terrible nearby.
"Do you smell that?" Brock asked, smelling what he was smelling, so did the others.
"We do." The gang said
Then they heard a metal felling down and we looked behind them to see a grimer had fell to the floor. A few grimer fall down on the floor.
"Those things must be the reason why Magnamite left in a hurry." Brock said
"Grimer." Ash said taking out his pokedesk and scanning Grimer.
[Grimer, the sludge pokemon. It was born near dirty place and sludge.]

"Apper among the filth? The city. The pollution. It all makes sense." Brock said
"So all of this pollution called all the Grimer's." Glissle said
"And if there is Grimer then..." Glissle said
The gang was disgusted by the smell of the Grimer, but did not say anything about it as they took a step back. Ash knew that would make the Grimer angry. Unfortunately, yellow let it out.
"This smell terrible." Yellow said
Immediately she coverd her mouth.
That of course, made the Grimer mad. Suddenly a big dark purple blob of suldge appeared between the Grimer,.
"There is a Muk among them." Ash said taking out his pokedesk and scanning Muk.

Muk pointed at the gang signaling Grimer to attack, like a crime boss odering their thugs making yhe gang run away.
"Nice job yellow." Glissle said
"How is this my fault?" Yellow asked
"You are the one that insulted them. Why did you have to open your mouth and make the Grimer mad?" Glissle said
"I had to open my mouth, I could not use my nose." Yellow said before they ran around a corner and Glissle bumped into something both of them fell down. It was a man and another man was standing behind him bothe of them had flashlight.
"What are you doing here?" The man asked
"I am Brock, this is yellow,-" Brock said
"Look can we cut the introduction?, we got to get out of here." Yellow said
The Grimer appeared around the corner as Ash helped up Glissle up to her feet and they all took off as they followed the men.
"The Grimre here too." One of them said
They ran into the control room and Ash and Brock leaned against the door, keeping it shut.
"Tell us whatbis going on here. This blackout is a disaster for the city Lots of pokemon are gonna die in the pokemon center if the power won't come back soon, They need the power." Ash said
"But we can't. There is so many Grimer, that they are blocking the sea watering tack." one of the man explained.
"We got to bring the water to a boil, so it will turn on the turbine but the genrator won't work at all." another man with brown hair said
"Do something." Glissle said
"I am afraid that is easy to say. We have been tryinv to do it." The first man who spoke with the dark hair said
"Glissle, yellow and Misty" Ash and Beock said as they all looked over to see the Grimer werw trying to get in hitting the door as Ash and Brock are trying to keep it closed.
"The Grimer are ramping the door, we can not hold it." Brock said
Glissle, yellow and Misty ran closer and tried to helo him keep the door closed but the door opened an they all backed away to stand with the man as the Grimer walked inside.
The man with black hair looked at Ash and his frineds,"You three are pokemon trainers right? You got to use your pokemon to help us out."
"That is right if we get rid of the Grimer the genrator will work." Thean with brown hair said
The grimer started to walk closer, Pikachu jumped ahead of them. Pikachu stepped forwars but wimperd in pain as Muk walked behind Grimer.
Suddenly the celling gate fell down and the gang looked up to see Magnemite flying down with several Magnemite and Magnetorn.
"Magenemite amd Magnetorn. " Ash said and scanned the Magnetorn.
[Magneton, the Magney pokemon. The Evolved from of Magnemitr. Its heavy magnetic power allow it to float.]

The Magnemite and the Magnetorn along with pikachu all used thiundershock, sending a huge electricity on grimer and Muk, which caused all fof them to ran away but before all of them ran away. Ash captured a Muk and Grimer. The Magnemite and Magneton started to follow the Rest Grimer and Muk, chasing them away. A moment after, the lights turned on, which meant the Glimer that were blocking the water were probably chassed away.
"The lights are on." Ash said as they all smiled, and the men went to computer.
"The turbine is moving again." The man with black hair said
"The grimer had cleared awaym" The man with brown hsir said
"Yes." Ash and his group cherred.
Magnemite flew over to pikachu who looks beter. Then Magnemite smile and floated around Ash.
"Do you want to come with me?" Ash asked
It noded.
"Okay then." Ash said taking out a pokeball and capturing it.

The next morning Ahs and his gang spoke to Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy before they left.
"You see that Grimer's and Muk were in the stream beacuse the water is dirty. " Glissle said
"Yeah the place needs a good clean up." Misty said
"I know we will do everything we can untill the water is cleab once more. " Officer Jenny said
"But if you clean up the air and water around here, the city will be as good as new." Ash said
"Yeah no grimer or Muk." Brock said
"Of course we will. Promise." Nurse Joy said
"Bye Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny. " Ash said
"Goodbye." Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny said.
