DALLAS'S POV
"Dallas honey your going to be ok" my mom said sympathetically as I clung onto her tightly as she tried to sit me in the chair
"My mouth hurt's already mommy" I whimper
"I know princess but your auntie Taylor will be able to find out what's going on and help your mouth get all better again so it won't hurt anymore" my mom said softly
I look over at the chair nervously and then looked up at Taylor who gave me a soft encouraging smile. I let go of my mom finally letting her sit me in the chair even though I was panicking
"Are you ok if I lay the chair back honey" she asked softly making me nod
She laid the chair back and I was way too far down on the chair so she pulled me up higher towards her before turning the light on adjusting it and putting on her mask and gloves making me extremely nervous
"Your ok sweetheart we're going to take a quick look and find out what's wrong ok" Taylor said softly
I hesitantly nodded and opened my mouth for her. The feeling of the explorer tapping on my teeth felt weird but it didn't hurt. She skipped tapping one of my teeth but continued on with the rest of them
"She's got a pretty good sized cavity here I might put her on some laughing gas while I fix this up if you want to take Paige to the treasurer chest in the waiting room so she doesn't have to watch this" Taylor said taking the tools out of my mouth and turning to my mom
"Ok" my mom said giving me a sympathetic look
"Dallas I'm going to take Paige out of the room for a bit you stay here with Taylor and Karlie and be good and listen to what they tell you to do ok" my mom said softly
"Ok mommy" I whimper nervously
My mom and sister left the room closing the door behind them making me look up at Taylor nervously
"Ok princess I'm going to explain what I'm going to do first before I do anything" she said pulling her mask down to her chin
"Is it going to hurt" I ask nervously
"It may feel like a bit of pressure honey but I'm going to give you some giggle juice to help you feel more calm and we're going to numb your mouth so that nothing will hurt" Taylor said softly
"B but does pressure hurt" I ask nervously
"It may feel a bit uncomfortable but it shouldn't hurt princess" she said softly
"Ok" I whimper nervously
"We're going to put your tooth to sleep for a little bit and brush out all those sugar bugs in your tooth that's causing you some owies already and then I'll give your tooth some special medicine to help it heal and feel all better again" Taylor said softly
"More special medicine" I whimper
"Yes princess but it's going to make your pain go away and help it feel all better again" Taylor said softly as Karlie came and sat on the stool beside the chair my mom was originally in.
"If it hurts at any point I want you to squeeze onto Karlie's hands tightly and let her know I'll stop and give you a break if you need me too" Taylor said softly as she grabbed a mask from the machine sticking it on my nose
"Deep breaths for me honey" Taylor said softly as she turned on the machine.
It felt really weird I started taking deep breaths making me feel a little bit sleepy
"I'm going to put this block in your mouth so if you end up falling asleep on us it'll keep your mouth open so I can still work on your tooth" Taylor said softly
I nodded and opened my mouth a tiny bit but she used her thumb on my chin to open it wider for her before sticking the block in my mouth.
"We're going to go ahead and start putting your tooth to sleep princess" Taylor said rubbing a q-tip on my gums making Karlie grab hold of my hands as Taylor took the a tip out
I looked at Taylor nervously as she pulled her mask back up.
"Your ok princess close your eyes really tight for me" she said softly
I hesitantly closed my eyes feeling her poke something in my mouth almost immediately making me squeal and squeeze onto Karlie's hands tightly
"I know Dallas, I'm sorry sweetheart, bare with me a little longer I'm almost finished" Taylor said sympathetically as she took it out and poked it again behind my tooth making me start squirming
"Dallas your alright love stay still a little longer" Karlie said
Taylor took it out taking the block out of my mouth making me start crying
"Your ok sweet girl that was the hardest part" She said sympathetically as she pulled her mask back down.
Taylor went and got my mom who came back without my sister becoming sympathetic seeing me in tears
"Oh honey it's ok, I know it hurts but your being so brave you know that" my mom said coming over and wiping my tears off my face
"No more mommy" I cry
"Oh baby you want that pain to go away don't you" she asked making me nod
"In order for that pain to go away you need to let Taylor finish this, it'll be a bit uncomfortable but your a strong girl you got this" she said softly
"Don't leave me again" I whimper
"I won't honey I'll be right here ok" she said sitting on the other side of me.
I had one hand with my mom and the other with Karlie not looking forward to the next step
"Ok sweetheart this part will be easier now that your numb its only going to be pressure" Taylor said softly as she pulled her mask back up
I nodded and opened my mouth for her. She was right this part didn't hurt it just felt like a lot of pressure which could be mistaken for pain at times. She finished that and put something else in my mouth, I could no longer feel anything and was confused
"This is the last part and your all done princess" Taylor said softly as she stuck a blue light in my mouth for a minute before taking it out again.
She had me bite on a piece of blue paper a few times before taking the machine off me and letting me back up
"You did so good hun I'm so proud of you do you want to go pick a toy" Taylor asked softly making me nod
They took me to the waiting room letting me pick from the chest. I was happy that's over and we could finally leave. We went back home and had a relaxing rest of the day although our mom seemed pretty upset the rest of the evening
