A dimly lit room was adorned with opulent furnishings that contrasted sharply with its occupant's chaotic disposition. Seated behind an intricately carved desk, was a man of enigmatic allure, sharp features, and piercing gray eyes, his fingers drumming impatiently.

The door to the room swung open, and in strode Monty, his tattered coat billowing behind him. His face held the same manic grin that had sent shivers down the spines of many, but it was not without traces of exhaustion. He approached the desk with a swagger that matched his confidence.

"Ah, Monty, do come in," the man purred, his voice like honey laced with venom. "I trust you have news for me."

Monty's grin grew wider, revealing a row of unnervingly sharp teeth. "Oh, doc, you're gonna love this one. I've got some juicy tidbits for your collection."

He reached into his coat, producing a small, ornate notebook. It seemed out of place in his grubby hands, but its contents were anything but ordinary. Monty placed it on the man's desk, and with a theatrical flourish, he opened it to a page filled with meticulous notes and scribbles.

"Let's start with our charming protagonist," Monty began, his voice dripping with mock admiration. "Our dear (Y/N) has been quite the busy bee in Yokohama. Summoning creatures left and right, making friends with those infamous detectives, and even giving my dear Faridra and me a run for our money."

The man leaned forward, his eyes fixed on the notebook. "Go on."

Monty's finger traced a line of text as he continued. "And then there's this." He reached into his coat once more, this time retrieving pictures of (Y/N) and put them on the desk in front of the man. "As you can see, she has the ability you were searching for, as you predicted." The pictures showed moments of (Y/N) investigating the murders and her using her abilities in her battle against Monty with also picture of her summons.

"And like you ordered, we made the murders according to your plan. I also tested and gave her the object you wanted me to gift."

The doctor's fingers twitched with eagerness. "The locket. The key to unlocking it all. All went according to plan. Excellent work, Monty."

Monty's grin remained intact as he closed the notebook and leaned in closer to the man. "But, doc, here's the kicker. Our protagonist, she's got a power I didn't see coming. She gave off the same aura as us. You know, like when we obtained those objects."

The man responded with a wicked smile that could give anyone chills. Monty, his grin still in place, grabbed and showed one of the photos hidden beneath the others on the desk. "However, there was something I couldn't quite understand. I don't know how she could do it, but she managed to make the power contained in the locket disappear."

The doctor's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, the room seemed to grow darker. "Absorb its power? You're certain?"

Monty nodded, his expression almost manic in its excitement. "I saw it with my own eyes, doc. She absorbed the power from this locket like it was a snack. And she's not done. She's got something else brewing inside her."

At Monty's words, the man's gray eyes glowed with interest. "This is really her..." then, he began to let out a little laugh, making Monty's grin falter for a moment. "She is really her, finally, I managed to find you again, my dear subject A-237. My efforts to make you come back here weren't for nothing. Now, my plan will finally be able to work. I just need to catch her and all my preparations will be completed."

Monty leaned in closer, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. "But doc, how did you predict she would show up in Yokohama with the murder plan? Why specifically her?"

The doctor reclined in his chair, his fingers steepled together. "Ah, Monty, my dear operative. You see, predicting her arrival in Yokohama was a matter of meticulous planning and monitoring. I had my sources within the Port Mafia, keeping an eye on any unusual occurrences, and when her presence was detected, it set the wheels in motion."

Monty's grin widened, eager for more details. "So, you had your eyes and ears all over the place. Impressive."

The doctor chuckled. "Indeed. As for why specifically her, it wasn't entirely random. Subject A-237, as we affectionately refer to her, possesses a unique resonance with the objects of power we have. It was a matter of identifying the right candidate who could interact with these objects on a fundamental level."

Monty scratched his head, trying to piece it all together. "So, you're saying she's the chosen one?"

The doctor's smile turned enigmatic. "In a sense, yes. But she was chosen by a set of criteria that led her to us. It's all part of a grand plan, Monty."

Monty's excitement was palpable as he leaned even closer. "Though, how did you knew about her in the first place? You make it sound like you've been expecting her."

The doctor's eyes gleamed with a hint of something darker. "Oh, Monty, we've been searching for Subject A-237 for a very long time since the day she escaped. It's normal that you didn't know about her yet, as you arrived much later."

He then showed a sinister grin, "And one day, I found out where she was, and sent a little help to bring her here more quickly in our city. After all, she holds the key to something far greater than anyone can imagine. And as for how I knew about her, let's just say it was a twist of fate."

Monty couldn't help but shudder at the doctor's ominous response. "So, what's the next step, doc?"

The doctor's smile widened, revealing a chilling confidence. "The next step, Monty, is to capture her. Subject A-237 must be brought to us, and then we can unlock the full extent of her potential. The real fun is about to begin."

Monty's grin returned, more manic than ever. "Oh, doc, you've got me excited now. I will then make sure we give our charming protagonist the best performance to remember." he echoed, his voice a chilling promise that sent shivers down the spine of anyone who heard it.

________

In the heart of Yokohama, a figure cloaked in an impeccably tailored black coat moved with an air of authority. He radiated an aura of power and confidence, his fiery red hair and piercing sapphire eyes drawing attention even in the shadowed alleyways. He was known for his commanding presence, a force to be reckoned with in the criminal underworld.

The figure entered an imposing building, its dark exterior a stark contrast to the gleaming lights of the city. This was the inner sanctum of the Port Mafia, a place where secrets and power intersected. The corridor leading to the boss's office was long and foreboding, but the figure strode forward with unwavering determination. This was Chuuya Nakahara, and he had a report to deliver to Mori Ougai, the enigmatic leader of the Port Mafia.

Chuuya's footsteps echoed through the corridor as he made his way to Mori's office. He couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he approached the boss's lair. Mori was a man of intricate schemes and unpredictable whims, and dealing with him always required a careful balance of diplomacy and restraint.

Finally, Chuuya arrived at the door, heavily guarded by an intricate security system and two armed guards. He took a moment to straighten his coat and collect his thoughts before knocking firmly.

"Enter," came Mori's smooth and slightly eerie voice from the other side.

The guards opened the door, and Chuuya stepped inside the dimly lit room. Mori sat behind an ornate desk, his hands steepled as he peered at Chuuya. The room was filled with an air of quiet intensity, and it was clear that Mori was expecting a thorough report.

Chuuya began, "Boss, I've been observing her closely, as you requested."

Mori leaned back in his chair, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the desk. His piercing gaze never wavered from Chuuya, and his sapphire eyes seemed to bore into his subordinate's soul. It was a gaze that held the weight of years of experience and cunning.

"And what have you discovered, Chuuya?" Mori inquired, his voice as smooth as silk but carrying an underlying tone of curiosity.

Chuuya continued, his voice steady, "She's a mysterious one, that's for sure. I couldn't find any information about her, apart from her name (Y/N) and that she possesses an ability that is far beyond the ordinary. She can summon creatures left and right, and some of them appeared to be remarkably powerful with unique abilities. Moreover, since I first saw her, she's been interacting with those detectives from the Armed Detective Agency, particularly Dazai, who took her into his apartment."

Mori's eyes narrowed slightly at the mention of the detective. "Dazai? It's rare for him to show such interest in someone."

Chuuya nodded, "This fox managed to recruit her into the Armed Detective Agency, and now, she seems to be involved in a recent string of murders. But what puzzles me the most is that she encountered a certain individual named 'Monty' who was the one orchestrating the murders with his acolytes, all under the orders of someone else."

"Interesting. Go on."

"He had a particular power that could not be nullified by Dazai's ability. I managed to find out that he was ordered by someone who goes by the name of Dr. Harrison Ashcroft and leads an organization called 'Angels.'"

Mori leaned forward slightly, his eyes fixed on Chuuya, a dangerous spark of interest glinting in his gaze. "Dr. Harrison you said?" then, a smirk appeared on his face. "Ah, did he finally chooses to reveal himself after all this time?"

Chuuya could feel the weight of Mori's attention, and it only added to the gravity of the situation. "Do you know him?"

"You could say that. It's been 10 years since he disappeared. He was once a respected scientist within the Port Mafia's research division, but we discovered that he went too far in his experiments, breaking our code. We tried to find him to make him pay the price, however, we couldn't locate him."

"How could he escape from the grasp of the Port Mafia so easily? Did we have a traitor among us?"

"That is what I suspected. However, we couldn't find any traitor."

"That is even more strange, why would he appear now if he put to so much effort into his hiding? For what reason?"

"I think I have a little idea of it. You see, when we searched for him, we found his hideout one year later in the mountains, but when I got there, nothing remained except ruins. Still, we discovered something." He then opened one of his drawers and took out an old notebook. "This was the only thing that remained intact, and what I found inside was something you could call pretty crazy."

Chuuya's eyes widened as he glanced at the notebook, filled with a sense of foreboding. Mori was known for his ability to uncover hidden truths, and this discovery was bound to be significant.

"What is inside? Reports of his experiments?" Chuuya couldn't hide the curiosity in his voice.

Mori only responded with a dark smile.

"No, seriously? What a madman."

"More particularly, a cunning one. This notebook isn't just any notebook; it was his journal, specifically dedicated to one subject he experimented on." Mori then gave Chuuya a nod, allowing him to examine the notebook.

As Chuuya thumbed through the pages filled with horrifying ideas and experiment results, Mori continued, "At the beginning, he was driven by a thirst for power and knowledge, seeking to unlock the secrets of supernatural abilities. As he continued, he believed he could transcend human limitations and become the most powerful being in the world, using these abilities for his own gain. And one day, he came across a subject that caught his attention—a subject with healing abilities that were extraordinary, far beyond anything he had seen before. He believed that harnessing that power and attempting to transfer it would grant him immortality and reshape the world according to his vision. As he continued, he managed to awaken a new ability within this subject through one of his experiments."

"What is the ability he awake within this subject?"

"The power to summon creatures with unique abilities from seemingly nowhere."

"Wait boss, so you're telling me that the girl I observed is-"

"The exact subject mentioned in the journal."

"But I never saw her use any ability other than summoning."

Mori grinned with a mischievous smile. "She's clever; she knew that displaying two different abilities would attract too much attention, so she concealed it from others."

Chuuya nodded in understanding but couldn't help but feel a growing sense of intrigue. "But that's not all, is it?"

"As Harrison discovered this new ability, his madness escalated, and he believed that she possessed the key to a dark ritual, one that could bring about the resurrection of a powerful and malevolent figure from the past. This figure would grant any wish to the one who summoned it."

"How did he come to that conclusion?"

"Have you heard about the prophecy an ability user made before their death?"

"You mean that baseless rumor, where they spewed nonsense as an excuse to escape a death sentence?"

"Yes, many believed it to be just that—a baseless rumor. But our dear Harrison seemed to believe in it, as the circumstances of his encounter with this subject matched those described in the prophecy. Turn to the middle of the diary."

Chuuya flipped to the middle of the diary and began to read its contents aloud. "'A girl shall appear one fateful night, gifted with the power to summon and heal, becoming the chosen one. Her abilities hold the key to resurrecting a malevolent figure from the past, who will grant any wish to the one who calls upon its dark forces.' I continue to believe it's all nonsense and an excuse for his actions."

Mori's eyes gleamed with a strange mixture of amusement and interest. "However, when all the pieces are combined, we can reach a chilling conclusion. (Y/N) appears to be the chosen one mentioned in that prophecy. Even if she doesn't believe it herself, she possesses a powerful ability that could be of immense value. If we have her, we may be able to learn more about Harrison's whereabouts and make him pay the price he should have faced a decade ago but also exploit to the fullest her ability."

Chuuya realized the gravity of the situation. This mission had taken a drastically different turn, one that would uncover dark secrets, challenge alliances, and potentially alter the course of the criminal underworld in Yokohama. He straightened up, his resolve clear. "Boss, what are your orders?"

Mori leaned forward, his sapphire eyes locked onto Chuuya's.  "Chuuya, I want you to capture (Y/N) and bring her to me. We cannot afford to let her slip through our grasp, so ensure that no one from the Armed Detective Agency interferes, especially Dazai."

Chuuya nodded, his expression determined. "Understood, boss. I'll do whatever it takes to bring her in."

With that, Chuuya Nakahara turned and left Mori Ougai's office, his steps filled with purpose. He knew that capturing (Y/N) would not be an easy task, but he was willing to face whatever challenges lay ahead to fulfill the boss's orders and uncover the secrets hidden within the enigmatic girl with extraordinary abilities.

(Y/N)pov

Darkness enveloped you as you descended into the depths of your own memory. It was an eerie sensation, like stepping into a dream world where reality blurred and fragmented. As the memories began to take shape, you found yourself transported to a dimly lit room, the sterile scent of antiseptic filling the air.

You were bound to a cold, metallic table, your limbs restrained by leather straps. Panic surged within you as you struggled against your restraints, but they held fast. The room was filled with the dissonant hum of machinery, and the faint glow of monitors cast an eerie pallor on your surroundings.

Through the haze of your fear, you could make out the figure of a man in a white lab coat. His face was obscured by the harsh glare of a surgical mask and goggles, rendering him an enigmatic presence. The man moved with an unsettling calmness, his gloved hands deftly manipulating various instruments on a nearby tray. As he moved, you caught a glimpse of a name tag bearing the name 'Dr. Harrison Ashcroft'.

Then, the man with a sinister glint in his eyes stood beside the table, a twisted smile on his face.

"Are you ready, dear subject A-237?" he cooed, his voice dripping with false sweetness.

You couldn't respond. Strangely, you were overcome with a profound weariness, as if life had lost its meaning and nothing mattered anymore. Pain coursed through your body, and your head throbbed with fear about what would happen next.

Dr. Ashcroft's grin was as sweet as poison, and he relished the lack of response from you. "Wonderful. So let's begin today's experiment. I'm sure it will lead us to something remarkable."

With a syringe in hand, he pricked your arm and attached a drip to your hand, injecting a mysterious liquid you couldn't identify. The sensations began to blur, and the liquid coursed through your veins, leaving you powerless and helpless.

As the mysterious liquid flowed through your veins, a searing pain tore through your body, causing you to convulse against your restraints. Dr. Ashcroft's sinister smile only widened as he observed your agony.

The room around you seemed to warp and distort, as if reality itself was crumbling under the weight of your suffering. In the midst of your torment, something extraordinary happened. Your vision blurred, and you felt an inexplicable surge of power coursing through you.

With great effort, you managed to focus your newfound abilities, and to your astonishment, a small, glowing creature materialized before you. It was a creature unlike any you had ever seen, with iridescent wings and a delicate, otherworldly beauty. It hovered in the air, radiating an aura of magic and wonder.

Dr. Ashcroft's eyes gleamed with avarice as he beheld the creature. "Incredible," he murmured, his voice filled with greed. "You truly are something special, subject A-237. Perhaps you are the chosen one from the prophecy."

The pain was horrible, you wanted it to stop. But your wishes coundn't come true, and you started to feel drained to keep your new ability on, causing the creature to vanish, and it dissipated in a shimmer of light.

Dr. Ashcroft's expression soured, but he remained determined. "No matter," he hissed. "We will continue these experiments until you summon the creature mentioned in the prophecy. It will grant any wish to its summoner, and I will be the one to control its power."

At his words, the pain and suffering continued, and just as the torment within the dream threatened to consume you, a blinding flash of light engulfed your surroundings. The pain receded, and you felt as though you were being pulled away from that wretched place. With a final, desperate effort, you willed yourself to wake up.

When you opened your eyes, you found yourself in a clean, well-lit room. Soft sunlight streamed in through the windows, and the antiseptic scent greeted your senses. You were lying in a comfortable bed, and a sense of relief washed over you as you realized you were free from that dreadful nightmare.

As your vision cleared, you saw a familiar figure seated by your bedside. It was Dazai, but his usual carefree demeanor was replaced by a genuine concern. His eyes met yours, and he offered you a soft, reassuring smile.

"Welcome back, (Y/N)," he said gently, a hint of relief in his voice. "You had us all worried there for a moment."

You tried to sit up, but weakness overcame you, and you settled back into the pillows. "What... what happened?"

Dazai's expression grew serious. "You collapsed after absorbing the energy from that locket Monty gave you. We managed to get you back here in time."

Your mind was still foggy, but you managed to piece together the events that had led to your collapse. "That locket... it had the same power as his cane... I absorbed it...and then..."

A sudden, throbbing headache coursed through your temples, causing you to wince in pain. The memory you had previously recovered resurfaced, the blurred image of the mad Dr. Ashcroft looming in your mind. At the same time, you felt warmth on your cheeks, and to your surprise, you realized that you were crying.

Crying of pain you felt, and the relief that you were no longer in the time of this horrible memory.
