Meera Singhania Rajvansh, she's got me acting like a damn love-struck puppy, no kidding. I wish I could say I'm joking, but I ain't. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I got a wink of sleep in the past few days. Last night was a blur, with me holding her hand the whole damn time, like my life depended on it. I crashed on the floor next to the damn sofa, our hands locked together. Imagine what cuddling her would feel like!

Now, you might call me a creep, and you know what? I don't give a damn. As long as I get to be close to her, I'm good. Right now, I'm stuck in this home study, and all I can think about is when she'll stroll in from the hospital, flashing that damn beautiful smile of hers. That smile, it's like a spell that could make me do just about anything, even if I have to walk through fire.

Just when I thought I could have some peace, the study door swings open, and there's Sidharth, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "What the hell are you doing here?" I ask, annoyed as hell just by his presence. "Veeru, no 'hi' or 'hello'?" he quips with that smile still plastered on his face, plopping down in the armchair across my desk. "Sidharth..." I warn him, and he gets serious real quick.

"I've gone through the Singhi file. Those bastards are playing us for fools. The deal they offered looks too damn good to be true. I've had our PI dig into it, and it smells like some illegal money laundering shit," he says, and I clench my fists, seething with anger. Damn it, nothing's going right.

"Get me some concrete proof, and we'll blacklist those sons of bitches," I order, and he nods, getting on the phone to make some calls. I started contacting few officials. We're this close to cracking that female smuggling case wide open.

After he hung up, Sidharth shot me a glance. "Veeru, Meera ghar par hai?" he asked, his eyes locked onto mine. Why the hell did he say Meera? "Rani-sa bolo unhe," I replied sternly, trying to set him straight. But he just scowled at me.

"Fine, I'll call her 'Bhabhi' then!" he retorted, acting all pompous, completely ignoring my earlier statement.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes and mutter, 'Sab meri biwi ke peeche pade hue hai. Aur voh sab pe dhyan deti hai mere sivay.'

We both walked out of the study and into the living room, only to find it empty. Then, I spotted Meera walking in, dressed in her work attire, wearing that tired look she often had after surgeries. She seemed to be searching for someone, and I couldn't help but wonder who it was.

But then, her gaze locked onto mine, and there it was – that breathtaking smile of hers. Her eyes, however, unfortunately shifted from me to the damn fool standing beside me, and she gave him a smile too! Usko Kyu?

"Bhabhi!" Sidharth practically sang as he sprinted toward her, wrapping her in a hug. He really had some nerve. I briskly walked over and yanked him away from my Meera. I couldn't cuss him out in front of her, but later I planned to kill him. "Sidharth Bhaiya," Meera replied, offering him a smile. There you go! I looked at Sidharth to see his face morphed into a smile. Why is he smiling and not being dramatic?

"You called me Bhaiya..Do you mean it?" He asked her, his eyes teary now for some reason. Damn it.

"Yes, What's wrong?" she questioned him. He just shook his head and smiled at me brightly. Sidharth always craved to have a sister, He was an only child and he hated that. It's very evident with his happiness right now.

"He was just leaving," I said, shooting him a fierce glare. He pouted and hurriedly left the living room, muttering a quick goodbye, dancing his way out the palace. Idiot. I'd deal with him later – maybe by making him eat a dozen of green chilies for daring to hug my Meera. Brother or not, still not allowed to hug her.

Meera looked up at me. Her face held confusion but she acted like it didn't confuse her. Ruhaan, this is your chance to spend time with her! Go and ask her to walk with you in the garden. What if she says no? I'm not good with rejections. What the hell is wrong with you!

"Meera," I said, looking at her intently, my favorite job in this entire world. "Would you like to take a walk?" I asked her, trying to sound cool and very casual about it. I don't want her to see my freaky, confused side. She will run away. She looked at me, surprised by my request. Am I that distant, that my own wife is thinking twice before taking a walk with me? Yes, you are.

"Yeah, the weather is slightly chilly, It will be fun," she said cheerfully, and we walked to the garden of Rajvansh Mahal. She was right; the weather was chilly. It was calm but cold. We both were walking at a normal pace, side by side.

I turned to look at her, her eyes wide as she stared at the flower beds, Her lips were soft and looked sweet, I wondered how they would taste. Her soft hair flowing in every direction due to the light wind. Pari. Sahi naam diya hai inko sabne.

"How was your day?" She turned towards me. "It was fine," I said, looking forward. No, you need to talk to her, then she would be comfortable around you. Yes.

"What about you?" I asked, looking at her, and she smiled. "It was amazing. I had three surgeries, and all of them went well!" She said, a happy grin on her face. She looked ethereal when she smiled.

"Rana-sa, you know I love Juliet roses! But they are immensely rare, you can't find them anywhere!" She said while looking at the red roses planted in the corner. We have a garden of Juliet roses in the palace; she would love them. What are you waiting for? Take her there, you idiot!

"Come with me?" I told her, my voice low and soft, even I was surprised. I took her soft hands in mine. How are they so warm and soft? I don't care what she is thinking right now; I was dying to get her hand in mine again. I took her to the secluded garden where the gardener grew Juliet roses and stopped inside, not letting go of her hand.

I turned to look at her, and she gasped. "You have an entire garden of these?" She asked me, happiness so evident on her face, I wanted to give that gardener who grew these roses suitcases full of money just for her bright smile.

A/N- Search up juliet roses, they are beautiful.

"We do," I said, and she excitedly ran towards the bush and dragged me along with her. "I love these. Papa always somehow managed to get these for me when I was sad or angry at him." She said while touching the petals of the flowers softly. I made a mental note to remember to get these for her if she is ever angry because of me screwing up.

"Rana-sa, can I ask you questions?" She turned toward me. I nodded in agreement, curious to know what she wanted to know about me. Isn't everything already there on the net?

"Okay, so am I your second wife?" She asked, making me choke on my spit. What the hell? What is she talking about? "Huh?" I questioned, utterly lost.

"Meera, aap meri pehli aur akhri biwi ho," I told her, shock still evident on my face. Kya hai yeh ladki? I've never held hands with any other woman before, aur Rani-sa ko first wife ka laga hua hai.

"No, wait, I mean, isn't your first wife your MacBook? You love it that much, right?" She said, explaining with wide eyes. I shook my head, utterly amused. Mere kismat mein hi yeh ajeeb si par pyaari chokri likhi thi kya?

"Never mind, I wanted to ask you, uh, what's your favorite color?" She asked, looking at me curiously. Your eyes, Meera. Stop it, Ruhaan, for god's sake. "Hazelnut," I said, and she nodded. "What a coincidence, my eyes are hazelnut!" She grinned. Like I said, she is the most oblivious and naive human I've come across.

I bet if a thief comes in front of her, she would assume it to be a man who has a cold and is sick and is therefore wearing a black mask. She would start feeding the thief soup.

I looked at her again and found her staring at the roses while shivering a little; the weather was cold. She was just wearing a white formal shirt and some black slacks; she would obviously feel cold. I took off my blazer swiftly and wrapped it around her. She turned to look at me, her eyes confused, but I didn't react much.

"Thanks," she muttered, and I nodded. Even though my heart was jumping inside looking at her wearing my blazer, it was way too oversized for her, but she looked adorable wearing it. Don't even get me started on when she wears sarees. Mera dil haath mein aa jata hai.

"We should go back to the palace," I told her, and she nodded. "Can I take one flower along with me?" She asked, and I nodded. "You don't have to ask me or anyone for that matter," I told her, and she nodded, walking toward the flowers.

Wait, no, roses have thorns. She could get hurt. I rushed after her. "Meera, leave it. I'll pluck one," I told her, and she nodded, confused. I chose one of the properly bloomed ones and plucked it carefully. After taking it out from the bush, I checked if its stem had any thorns and then passed it to her, and she mumbled a small thanks with a soft smile.

We both went back to the mansion, which now held commotion. Everyone was present in the living room. "There they are!" Baba-sa said, nudging us to join them. I wanted to spend time with her alone, in our room. But alright.

(The living room of Rajvansh Palace)

We both went towards the sofa and got settled next to each other. My hands were itching to hold hers. Deciding to hell with everything, I clasped her hand in mine, feeling the warmth. I tried not to clutch it too tightly, but it just felt so damn good. It felt like home, the feeling I've craved for so long.

She looked at me surprised, but I didn't give away any expression. I looked up to see Maa looking at me, gesturing to her wearing my blazer with a teasing smile, making my ears turn red. She knows how I've fallen for her. Rather, she has been helping me the entire time, from coordinating our outfits to sending her in my car.

"As I was saying, we should throw a Christmas carnival for the kids in the slums," Rajmata said, and everyone nodded. "Rudra, look after this," I spoke, and he gave me a side-eye. Like I care. "Ji, Bhai-sa," he said.

I didn't want to arrange anymore events, I wanted to spend time with my wife. "I could help you, Rudra," Meera said, making my head snap towards her. What, no. This backfired. "Yes, that would be helpful!" Rudra said, grinning towards me.

"Actually, Rudra, you handle the entire Singhi scandal, I'll arrange this," I said in a no further discussion tone, and he nodded. His face filled with amusement. "Jaisa aap chahe, Bhai-sa."

Meera turned to look at me, confusion filling her face again. She came closer to me and whispered, "Aap theek ho?" and I nodded. Just then, her phone began ringing, displaying the name 'Vivaan.' She looked at it with a frown and picked up the call, her right hand still in mine.

"Hey," She spoke to the person on the other side. After a few seconds, she replied with, "When you reach Mumbai, give me a call. Mumma and Papa also wanted to meet you." She hung up the call.

Who is this guy? Why is he fucking calling my wife? Vedansh Uncle and Myrah aunty kyu usse milenge, I'm their son-in-law na, they would want to meet me. Meera never mentioned him. No she never mentioned any of her friends, none were there on our wedding either.

While the family kept conversing, I could see Meera getting completely exhausted, and she rested her head on my shoulder, her eyes closing. She looked even more serene when she was sleeping, her eyelashes touching her cheeks, and she looked like a small baby.

Our babies would be pretty. The hell. No, it would depend on her if she wants kids. Who the fuck am I to decide? Her body, her choice. Stop thinking about it, Ruhaan.

I wonder what she thinks of me, what she calls me? Mr. handsome, Mr. charming? Does she like me? She cares for me, for sure.

A/N

I was a bit disappointed that there weren't many comments on the previous chapter.
