Klaus's body jerked upright, his lungs gasping for air as if he had been submerged in the depths of a turbulent sea. His heart pounded relentlessly, a primal drumbeat echoing in his ears. Beads of sweat traced erratic paths down his forehead, their path illuminated by the flickering light of uncertainty. Confusion etched deep furrows across his face, a reflection of the disarray within his mind.

Disoriented and disheveled, Klaus found himself abruptly torn from the comforting embrace of reality. Instead, he was thrust into a realm of suffocating darkness—the Void. It enveloped him like a predatory beast, its ebony tendrils threatening to crush his very essence. Panic clawed at his chest, its icy grip threatening to consume him whole, as he struggled to navigate the disorienting abyss.

In this void, where light dared not tread, Klaus's sense of self teetered on the precipice of oblivion. The weight of the unknown pressed upon him, suffusing the air with a tangible unease. Yet, he refused to surrender to the overwhelming despair that threatened to engulf him. With every fiber of his being, he fought against the encroaching shadows, seeking a glimmer of hope amidst the relentless darkness.

As Klaus's eyes adjusted to the inky abyss, a sudden jolt of disorientation coursed through Klaus's veins as a door materialized before him, its presence both unexpected and eerily beckoning. With trembling hands, he reached out and turned the handle, his breath catching in his throat as the portal swung open, revealing a sight that sent a shiver down his spine.

Stepping through the threshold, Klaus found himself transported within the familiar walls of the Umbrella Academy. But it was a distorted reflection of the place he once called home. The colored hues that once adorned the halls had faded, drained of life and replaced by a veil of desolation. The once bustling academy now stood in silent abandonment, its corridors stretching out like a maze of forgotten memories. It was in this moment that he came to the realization of where he was.

As Klaus traversed the colorless and dull surroundings, a sense of foreboding settled deep within him. The air felt heavy, pregnant with the weight of lingering secrets and unspoken sorrows. Shadows danced on the walls, casting haunting figures that seemed to whisper tales of the past. It was a place caught between reality and a twisted realm of unreality—a twisted reflection of the life that once pulsed through the academy's veins.

His footsteps echoed with a hollow resonance as Klaus ventured further into the heart of the academy. The emptiness gnawed at his soul, aching with a yearning for the vitality that had been stolen away. But then, a flicker of hope emerged amidst the gloom as he stumbled upon Ben's room, a place where laughter and camaraderie had once thrived.

An instinctive desire to reconnect with the ghostly presence of his departed brother compelled Klaus to reach for the doorknob. But as his fingers closed around the cool metal, a wave of resistance met him. The door refused to yield, as if guarding a truth that lay beyond its threshold. Klaus's brow furrowed in frustration and longing, his heart heavy with the weight of loss.

"He's gone, Klaus." The sound of Zero's voice startled him, the words piercing through the silence like a mournful echo. Turning, Klaus found Zero standing there, her eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and understanding. Her presence in this fragmented realm only deepened the enigma that surrounded her. At the sight of her, everything turned back into the same black abyss.

But how could she be here, in the Void?

"Zero?" Klaus exclaimed, his voice a mixture of disbelief and relief. He couldn't contain the surge of emotions that flooded his being at the sight of her amidst the desolate emptiness. With a trembling hand, he reached out towards her, as if seeking confirmation that she was real, that he wasn't alone in this abyss.

But to his surprise, Zero remained motionless, her gaze fixated on something unseen in the depths of nothingness. Klaus's outstretched hand faltered in mid-air, uncertainty creeping into his features. He peered intently at Zero, searching for a flicker of recognition or response, but her attention remained locked on the mysterious expanse before them.

Confusion knitted Klaus's brow, his mind racing to comprehend the significance of Zero's distant gaze. The unanswered questions swirled around him, intensifying the disorientation that already gripped his senses.

"What in the hell are you doing here? Wait, scratch that. How am I even here?"

Zero met Klaus's perplexed gaze with a sense of calm. Her response carried an air of cryptic knowledge, leaving Klaus even more perplexed. "The beginning but......also the end," she simply stated, her words hanging in the air like a riddle waiting to be unraveled.

Confusion etched deeper lines across Klaus's face, his eyes searching Zero's for answers. How could her words make sense in a place so detached from logic and familiarity?

"Klaus, we don't have much time," she said, her voice carrying a sense of urgency. "There's something you need to know about Reginald, something that goes beyond what we've ever imagined."

The mention of Reginald's name stirred a mix of emotions within Klaus—anger, resentment, and betrayal. He had always suspected that their father held secrets, but Zero's words hinted at a magnitude beyond his wildest speculations.

Zero's voice dropped to a hushed tone, her words laced with gravity. "Reginald's true intentions, Klaus. They're not what they seem. There's more to him than just a stern, distant father figure. He's hiding something... something alien."

Klaus's eyes widened, his mind struggling to process the revelation. "Alien? Are you saying... Reginald is an extraterrestrial?"

Zero nodded, her voice steady. "Yes, Klaus. The symbols, the cosmic connections, they all point to his hidden identity. He's been manipulating us, orchestrating a grand design that extends far beyond our understanding. We're pieces in his cosmic puzzle."

Anger surged within Klaus as he absorbed Zero's words. The memories of his troubled childhood, the mysteries that surrounded Reginald's actions, all seemed to fall into place. "That manipulative bastard," Klaus growled. "He played us all along."

Zero's expression hardened. "We can't let him continue his machinations, Klaus. We have to expose the truth, reveal his true intentions, and put an end to his cosmic game once and for all. We can't let him activate Project Oblivion. The fate of all of us, and perhaps even the world, hangs in the balance."

"Well we can't just sit here and do nothing." Klaus declared. "We'll expose Reginald for the person he truly is. The Umbrella Academy won't be his pawns any longer."

Zero nodded in agreement, her expression mirroring Klaus's determination. Yet, behind her eyes, a fleeting shadow of regret passed, hinting at a burden she carried. Klaus's curiosity piqued, and he couldn't help but follow the direction of her gaze, his eyes delving into the abyss that lay before them.

As Klaus peered into the depths of nothingness, he sensed a profound mystery surrounding Zero—an enigma that went beyond their shared quest. The weight of unspoken knowledge seemed to rest upon her shoulders. The realization struck Klaus like a thunderbolt, causing his voice to waver with a mix of confusion and accusation.

"You knew all this time, didn't you?" Klaus's voice trembled, his eyes searching Zero's for answers. "You had this information, and you chose to keep it to yourself? How could you, Zero?"

Silence hung in the air, pregnant with unspoken truths. Klaus's heart pounded with a mix of disappointment and a longing for understanding. The shadows that enveloped them seemed to echo his unanswered questions, adding to the disarray of emotions swirling within him.

Zero's gaze softened, her regret etched upon her features. She took a step closer to Klaus, her voice laced with a tinge of sorrow.
She struggled to find the right words. It was in that moment she had realized, she had been just as much of a pawn in Reginald's play as the other. "Klaus, I.." An uncharacteristic vulnerability came over her. God, she hated admitting when she made an error. "

"I think I made a terrible mistake."
