It was Summer on Sodor. The sky is Blue, the fields were filled with beautiful flowers and the birds sang sweetly as Thomas filled up with water, while Violet is filling up her tender with coal who is on the other side of him. Both of them felt very happy.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, there was a whoosh and a wheesh and a clackling clack as a streak of silver roared by on the track between both Thomas and Violet, catching both of them off-guard.
Thomas and Violet: Fizzling Fireboxes!/Cinders and Ashes!
Both of them just looked at each other in shock and confusion, not saying anything for a moment, trying to progress what had just happened.
Thomas: What was that?
All over Sodor, Violet and Thomas' friends were buffered and blasted on their track, the Silver Streak whooshed by Henry.
Henry: Bubbling Boilers!
Then Percy,
Percy: Bust my Buffers!
Then James,
James: Watch my paintwork!
Then Emily,
Emily: Trembling Tracks! Who is that?
Then Toby,
Toby: Gosh!
And Edward
Edward: Slow down, speedy!
Then Finally Gordon,
Gordon: Rail-raider!
Later, Violet and her friends were at Knapford. They were very puzzled.
James: He was Big.
Gordon: He was Silver.
Henry: He was very, very fast.
Violet: Thomas, You don't think.....
Violet looks over to Thomas who shares what she was thinking.
Thomas: That must mean it's.....
[A cloud of steam came towards them and stops to reveal.....]
All: Spencer!
Spencer: Hello, Sodor. What do you know? I'm here for the summer.
Violet: Why? *rising an eyebrow*
Spencer: *Smiles Smugly* Well, My Lovely Little Violet. I have a very important job to do. The Duke and Duchess of Boxford are having a new summerhouse built. It has to be finished in time for the Duke and Duchess' holiday. I'm very busy. No time to chat.
Before he leaves he winks at Violet with a sly smirk, but she glares daggers at him, not phased by his flirty compliments.
Spencer: See you around Violet...
And Spencer steams smugly away.
Thomas: Having Speedy Spencer on Sodor for a day is bad.
Violet: But for the whole summer...
Gordon: Is terrible.
That afternoon, Thomas and Percy were huffing and puffing up Gordan's hill. Then they heard Spencer whooshing and wheeshing behind them, then puffed beside them.
Spencer: A little more puff and you might make it to the top by teatime.
Then he huffs away with a smug smile on his face.
Percy: Bossy boiler.
Next, Spencer caught up with Gordan pulling the Express, and Violet who was beside him pulling some cars to Brendam Docks.
Spencer: Out of my way, slowcoach. (whistles)
Gordon: O, the indignity.
Spencer: Maybe slow down a bit so I can see you, Violet, you seem to be a VERY useful engine doing your job.
Violet: *sighs heavily* Over my scraped engine.
Gordon looks over at Violet with the same annoyance shared between them.
Toby was huffing slowly to a junction. Spencer steamed alongside, hooting and tooting.
Spencer: It looks like you're too old now to be really useful, Toby.
[The signal turns and Spencer set off and Toby's signal turns red again]
Toby gasped. He was upset. He missed his green light. Edward and James were chuffing cheerfully along. Spencer slowed.
Spencer: Dear, oh dear. It takes two old engines to pull one truck, does it? I'm pulling five!
And Spencer thundered away. James was so cross, he couldn't puff at all.
[The scene changes to Tidmouth Sheds at night]
That night, the engines can only talk about Spencer.
Thomas: He told Toby he was too old.
Gordon: He's taken over my express line.
James: He'll never have a shiny coat like mine.
Violet: He is constantly trying to flirt with me.
Edward: He'll never have manners.
Percy: Spencer's scary.
The engines didn't know what to do with Spencer!
