AN: I have finally found some motivation to continue this fanfic again. But I'm not still certain if I can update this fanfic on a regular schedule.

Chapter 65: Awakening and Rewards
It's half a month before the start of the Battle City Duels Competition and before the players of the game called World Link Online are transported into this world. Currently, 100 Beta players are roaming around Domino City and they will only last for 2 days in the world of Yugioh for the 'game testing'.
In a certain place outside of Domino City, a place outside of Japan, none of those current beta players could reach– A certain man who was lounging on his chair while drinking wine and reading a cartoon comic suddenly received a message from his phone.
This man is Maximillion Pegasus, the president of the company Industrial Illusions which was responsible for the 'creation' of the game Duel Monsters which was located in San Francisco, California.
After receiving a call, Pegasus put down the cartoon comic that he was reading and emptied a glass of cup on his table. He then called out.
" Croquet! "
The door to his office then opened. A man dressed in a butler outfit with gray hair and wearing black sunglasses appeared.
" What is your request, Master Pegasus? "
This man is Croquet. Pegasus' right-hand man/Butler.
" Tokio is awake. Let's go to the private hospital. "
Upon hearing those words, Croquet we're surprised.
" Master Pegasus, didn't you say that only owners of Millennium Items could retrieve Mr. Tokio's soul from the Shadow Realm? And from your agreement, he specifically requested that you banish him to the shadow realm, and when you were defeated by Mr. Yugi, he asked for you to request that Mr. Yugi not instantly free his soul from his banishment to the Shadow Realm until a month has passed. "
Pegasus hummed briefly. His right eye is narrowing and the smile on his face has a trace of schadenfreude.
" It is as what you have said, Croquet. 3 weeks. A week earlier than the agreement in which I would ask Yugi-boy to retrieve Tokio-boy's soul from the Shadow Realm. It is a surprise for me as well that Yugi-boy's help isn't needed anymore. "
A surprise indeed. He didn't expect it.
Pegasus' left hand unconsciously drifted over his silver hair locks which were covering his face on the left side. Beneath them was just a void. A missing eye. There's no millennium eye on his left socket anymore.
A certain thief has taken them from him. If it wasn't because of Kemo and Croquet instantly arriving to his aid, his life would have been in danger and he would have fallen into a coma and would have taken a long time to recover.
Thanks to their immediate aid and response, it only took one week for Pegasus to awaken from his coma.
While Pegasus and Croquet left the industrial illusions and headed to San Francisco's best private hospital, a thought was currently ongoing in the former's mind.
Did Tokio find a method to return from the Shadow Realm? Or is it what he was suspecting? Somehow, Dear Tokio-boy has found a millennium item in the Shadow Realm.

It's been half an hour since Tokio regained consciousness on the body of the vagrant avatar 'Akai Konami'. Upon awakening, the doctor and nurses in charge of him were alerted and instantly went to his room and check that he was fine.
After that, Tokio spent his time idling and grimacing at the sensation of IV Hooks and Cathether.
He wanted it to be gone sooner.
While he was drifting off and thinking of the things that weren't a dream and happened in the Shadow Realm, a familiar notification sound that Tokio didn't know he missed appeared inside his mind.
[ Welcome back, Host. ]
Hearing the familiar monotone voice, Tokio felt various emotions warring inside of him. Eventually, he toned down all of those emotions and he replied to the system.
{ System, are you defective? }
[ What kind of question is that Host? The system thought that you would miss the system during the 3 weeks that you spent in the Shadow Realm. ]
{ ..Ugh.. }
[ Hmm? Host, you have been busy. ]
{ So you just have noticed? You are a defective system. }
[ There was a lot of data coming from our disconnection time host. So please understand that it would take a while for me to analyze them. ]
While the System was browsing Tokio's memories and the things that he had done with the Hidden Boss System while its 'consciousness' was absent and wouldn't be able to travel to Shadow Realm, the System didn't expect Tokio to do a lot of things while he was there.
[ ...Host you have been busy. ]
{ I know.. }
Tokio replied feeling both smug and annoyed. Smug because he knows that he has done a lot of things and acquired something special and annoyed because since he has gotten to the Shadow Realm, there hasn't been a day of rest.

Description: A book created by Zorc Necrophades for him to be released upon this world once upon a time. The item was responsible for the creation of the Millenium Items.
Current Keeper: Jikan Yugame (Horo Tokio )
→ As Zorc Necrophades is still alive, Jikan Yugame's ownership of the Millennium Book and the Shadow Realm is disputable.
Abilities:
Shadow Game Refusal:
→ As the item responsible for the creation of the Millenium Items, the current keeper of the Millenium Spellbook could reject the Shadow Game initiated by the Millenium Item Users. Unfortunately, it couldn't reject a Shadow Game initiated by Zorc Necrophades.
Shadow Game Initiation:
→ Millennium Spellbook is the item responsible for the creation of the Millennium Items. As the superior item, it also can initiate a Shadow Game. Millenium Item Users can't reject a Shadow Game initiated by the Millenium Spellbook. Unfortunately, Zorc Necrophades as the true owner of the Millenium Spellbook could reject the Shadow Game Initiation held by the Book.
Shadow Realm Banishment:
→ Any people who lose the Shadow Game can be transported to the Shadow Realm. Even people who were defeated on the Shadow Game by the Millenium Item Users.
If:
• A person was defeated by a shadow game by a Millenium Item user but has chosen to not banish them or if they can't vanish under normal circumstances, the keeper of Millennium Spellbook could transport the target to the Shadow Realm.
Millenium Spellbook Keeper's Judgement:
→ All of the residents of the Shadow Realm's sins are revealed to the Keeper. A temporary resident of the Shadow Realm could return to the real world if the Keeper deemed that the temporary resident's sins weren't worthy/too light.
Gate to the Shadow Realm:
→ As the keeper of the Millenium Spellbook, the user could arrive at the Shadow Realm whenever he wishes. He could also transport duel spirits and monsters from the Shadow Realm and to the real world.
Shadow Realm Immunity:
→ The keeper is immune to the side effects of the Shadow Realm
Shadow Realm Temporary Ruler:
→ All of the Sin City Heads and Duel Monsters and Spirits residences would submit to your will.
Shadow World: (Locked)
→ During a Shadow Game, the Millenium Book User could control the range of the Shadow Game. If the keeper wishes, it was possible to drag a whole city to a shadow game with him.
