Plop.
De An put all the documents he got after following the Princes' order.
"These were all the things I have got for one day, your Highness, I think that you shouldn't trust that person anymore."
He read it and knew what was the content so even if he wasn't in a position to meddle in the Prince business he still couldn't help but give a warning.
And if his warning was a false alarm there's no harm for thinking about your safety first.
Riel didn't mind what his butler told him, he casually picked up the first paper and responded.
"Who knows.."
De An didn't speak anymore, he just stood there quietly waiting for the other to give him an order.
Riel flipd through the papers he hadn't even read through ten pages when he already lost his interest. He leaned on his chair, he rubbed his temple as he felt it aching from too much work he was doing.
His father was really ruthless, he just came back two days ago and the work in his table was already higher than him.
Sigh.
How could he coax his baby to marry him if his own Father, who was hurrying him to marry, put a pile of work on him. What a pig teammate.
And now he was so tired he didn't even want to move anymore. If Eugene didn't visit him to remind him of his meal and pulled him to sleep, maybe he was even more tired than now or even worse he might not even be breathing anymore.
Imagine, working for a whole day and even working overtime without proper meals and sleep. Even though he was sitting the whole time he was still using his brain.
After resting for a minute he sat straight again then picked a file and read it, continuing his work.
Suddenly a bright voice was heard from the doorway.
"Your Highness!"
Eugene went inside, greeted De An first before sitting in the chair in front of Riel.
Riel's tired body immediately got energized like he drank an energy drink. As for how the other called him just now he didn't care, as long as the other is happy he could call him however he wants though he still prefer Eugene to call him hus-
"I asked the Chef to make this."
Then he put a paper bag in the open space of the table and opened it, he fished out what was inside.
It was a sticky rice cake, a glutinous rice that was cooked with coconut and brown sugar.
"Eating sweets can help your body be filled with energy but eating too much would have the opposite effect."
Riel thought in his heart.
He didn't need it at all seeing you was already enough but he wouldn't waste the other persons' effort so he opened his mouth and took a bite at the sticky rice cake that was offered in his mouth.
"How is it?"
The left eyebrow was raise but there was a gentle smile in his face which made Riel also let out a smile.
"Delicious."
After feeding his man he stood up from his seat, cleaned up the mess on the table, then left the room after excusing himself. Didn't have a plan to disturb the other party.
When he reached the kitchen he talked with the Chef there, saying that the sticky rice cake that he made tasted good.
The Chef felt embarrassed, he waved his hand and said.
"It's my job to make delicious food for you so this was normal."
The youth nodded his head, this sight was already normal for those little assistants assigned inside the kitchen.
It's been half a year since he stayed here and in those days that passed so many things happened.
Does he have thoughts of going back in his world?
No, there's none because from the start. He already accepted living here. Besides, he preferred this life over the other one.
Sitting at the sofa while his head was on the man's shoulder.
He stuffed a cut piece of pineapple in his mouth, chewed it then swallowed it before he fed the man one piece.
He again visited his lover at noon to remind him to eat and now after eating their lunch the man said he would take a rest and went back to work later, the pile of papers in the man's table before was already reduced.
Riel said he took care of the hard ones first before so now he could casually take a rest from time to time and even wanted to procrastinate just to spend time with him.
He felt happy as he kept stuffing a pineapple in his mouth then fed the other. The man obediently opened his mouth to eat the fruit. Holding the youths' free hand, playing with it.
How he wishes this kind of peaceful life would be forever, unfortunately…
Morning, tying the man's hair into two that somehow look like a fountain in the head. Eugene let out a satisfied smile as he looked at his craftsmanship.
He held the man's shoulder and excitedly asked.
"Does it look good?"
Riel was looking at his own reflection in the mirror. After he took a bath the youth pulled him and told him to sit in the chair in front of the mirror.
Saying that he would tie his hair for him as the bangs were already long enough that it was about to reach and cover his eyes.
Seeing the two fountains on his head, he nodded and gave his compliment.
"Looks good."
He had a plan to let De An cut his hair but seems like he should postpone it for a while.
"Let's go, let's go."
As usual, the two went to the study room so Riel could work and Eugene was just there sitting in sofa. De An bought a tray of food followed by a maid holding the tray with two glasses of juice.
His life seems to be the same as before, eating, sleeping, reading and be lazy all day the only difference is,
He raised his head to look at the man and smiled from ear to ear, in this life he had someone that loves him.
The harmonious atmosphere was ruined by a knock.
The knock sounded three times before it opened after Riel said 'come in'.
Since the people outside knocked, the two knew it wasn't the butler as De An were allowed to go in and out in any room except for the bedroom.
"Your Highness."
Sean stood in the doorway, his gaze sharp as he said with a cold voice. The Prince signaled for him to come in without raising his head so he went inside and closed the door.
Walked towards a single sofa and sat down.
He was stunned when he saw the youth also sitting there, eating and reading like he didn't care if he was here or not.
He looked up and down like checking the youth and thought in his heart.
What did the two Princes even see in him that they love him like this?
He was already frowning as his gaze looked like it would make a hole on someone's body however he was suddenly interrupted from his staring when a body blocked his sight.
He raised his head and saw the gloomy face of his Highness, looking down on him like he was a god looking at an insignificant human.
This General stared at his baby, what? Don't tell me he also like him? Why does this two people so annoying?(referring to Sean and Eins)
"What?"
He didn't like the way the General look so he stood there and planned to have a talk while standing.
"Can we talk?"
Sean quickly put his attention on his Highness and asked with a solem expression.
"We're already talking."
"I mean only the two of us."
A spark was about to be ignited as the two didn't want to back down but was stopped when a youth voice sounded.
"Then…I'll go to the library first. You two talk."
And without waiting for the two to react at all, the youth already left the room followed by the butler who even quietly closed the door.
Riel sat down on the sofa where Eugene was sitting earlier, he impatiently asked.
"What do you want to talk about?"
After making that there was no extra person inside the room Sean opened his mouth to speak.
"About the documents you gave me before I made my people investigate some of it. And guess what I found?"
"What?"
"The woman or Eins mother, I plan to secretly make a trip with Eins to go there and talk to her. Maybe we could gain some information about the truth."
Riel raised his eyebrow and thought to himself. And what does it have to do with me?
Seeing like the other didn't care at all about it Sean tried to persuade him.
"This could eliminate the danger of the Empire collapsing, after all we will know who was behind all of this."
But the other still didn't show any slight interest at all like he didn't care about the Empire.
Sean greeted his teeth in annoyance, a thought flashed in his mind then he said.
"If you don't care about the Empire, what about the youth then? Yes you can protect him but if we don't pull out the roots even if you cut the branches many times, the root is still there, it will still grow in time. Will you wait for it to grow before you take action? I know you know that they already knew your relationship with him. I'm not threatening you with my words right now. I'm just stating the facts."
