Y/N POV
I open my eyes and see a white room. Windows to my right and tubes on either side of me.
Oh... I'm in the lab of the Helicarrier.
"Y/N!!!" Toshinori shrieks
"B-baby bird! You're awake!!" Keigo screeches while crying
"I knew that couldn't kill you!" Rumi shouts
"You are so reckless!" Hakamata scolds me
"H-hey guys..." I say
"Don't do that again!" Keigo tells me crying his eyes out
"I'm sorry Keigo I couldn't let Pietro die..."
"Y/N!" I hear a familiar Solovian voice
I look to the doorway of the room and see Pietro with eyes full of worry and joy at the same time.
Then I see the rest of the Avengers come through the door. Wanda starts smiling at me. I smile back
"Well look who decides to wake up" Tony says
"Since you are here I might as well go back to sleep" I snap back
"She hasn't lost her attitude" Nat smirks
"Never will" I reply
Pietro come over to me and gives me a hug.
"I'm sorry... I should have saved you..." he mumbles
"No... I couldn't lose you."
"I can't lose you either"
"Stop with the mushy shit. She is alive. Banner needs to check her." Nick says coming into the room
"How long have I been out?" I ask banner as he comes towards me
"About 3 days" he replies
"WHAT!?? I MISSED SCHOOL!!?? OH SHIT WHAT WILL SHOTO SAY!!!??" I scream
"hey hey hey!! Slow down!" Hakamata calms me down.
"They have given UA some days off because of everyone's hard work during the festival" Aizawa comes in the room
"Aizawa!? The hell..."
"Even though you're a hero you are such a problem child" he says rubbing his temples
"Oh that reminds me... Nick?" I ask
"What?"
"I have been missing my hero work. And I know I'm technically working by going undercover at school but I miss fighting villains and working shifts. Maybe once I'm healed I could work in Japan?"
"Hmm. I'll think about it. Just focus on healing right now"
"Yes sir"
TIME SKIP
I was able to heal quickly, curtesy of the super soldier serum.
I'm going to school today I hope Shoto doesn't get mad at me for not texting him.
Once I get to class I feel someone behind me. I move out of the way and before I know it I see Mina on the ground.
"Awww Y/n your no fun!" She says
Then she comes and put her arm around my shoulder
"It's so weird that people recognize us from TV. Everyone wanted to talk to me on my way here!" she exclaims
"Yeah me too!" Kirishima says
"People on the street were staring at me! It was kinda embarrassing." Hagakure adds
But isn't she is invisible...?
"Sure, but isn't that pretty normal for you?" Ojiro sweatdrops
"You won't believe what a bunch of elementary school brats yelled at me" Sero says
"Nice try?" Tsu giggles as Sero groans
"All it took was one sports festival we're like celebrities" Kaminari says
"This school really is amazing" Mineta adds
"Oh y/n!" Midoriya exclaims catching attention
"Why did you leave during the sports festival?" He asks
Suddenly all eyes were on me.
"My company called me. It was important so I had no choice. If I didn't they would fire me so of course I had to go. I need the money for rent and groceries" I lie
"Oh! That makes sense." Midoriya says
As everyone turns away I can still feel a glare looking towards me.
And of course it's Bakugo. What is with him? I glare back at him.
Then I hear the door open.
"Morning" Aizawa says
"Good morning Mr. Aizawa" most of the class responds suddenly in their seats.
"Ribbit? Mr Aizawa you don't have any bandages anymore?" Tsu points out
"The old lady went a little over board with the treatment" he says referring to recovery girl. Makes sense because of his new scar
"Any way we have a big class today on Hero Informatics" he explains
I notice most of the class start to look worried
"You need code names. Time to pick your hero identities." Aizawa says
The whole class starts cheering
"This is gonna be totally awesome!" They shout
"This will be so boring..." I grumble
"Y/n! Lighten up!" Mina tries to cheer me up
I'm bored so I can't be cheered up...
Suddenly Aizawa activates his quirk and everyone quiets down
"This is related to the hero draft picks that I mentioned last time we were in class together. Normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet. Not until their second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact by extending offers to first years like you pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation"
"Stupid selfish adults" mineta says
"So what you're saying is we'll still have to prove ourselves after we've gotten recruited?" Hagakure clarifies
"Correct. Now. Here are the totals for those of you who got offers."
Aizawa then presses his remote
Shoto got the most. me following and Bakugo behind me.
"In past years it's been more spread out but there's a pretty big gap this time."
"Gah! That's no fair." Kaminari groans
"Todoroki got the most ahead of Bakugo?" Jiro questions
"And L/n got more than me!?" Bakugo shouts
"Yeah it's practically the opposite of how they placed in the festival" Kirishima adds
"They probably weren't excited about working with the guy who had to be chained up at the end" Sero says
"If I scared a pro, they're just weak!" Bakugo shouts again
When does this guy calm down
"That's amazing you two must be proud." Momo says looking at me and Shoto
"These offers are mostly because of his father" I say gesturing to Shoto
"Despite these results you'll all be interning with pros. Got it? Even those of you who didn't get any offers"
"Oh so we're all interning?" Midoriya asks
No shit Sherlock
"Yes. You already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack on the USJ facility. But it will still be helpful to see pros at work. Up close and personal in the field. Firsthand."
"And for that we need hero names!" Sato shouts
"Things are suddenly getting a lot more fun!" Uraraka shouts
"These hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or-" Aizawa gets cut off
"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight burst through the door
Most of the boys blush
"What you pick today could be your code name for life. You better be careful or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent." She says
"Yeah. She's got a good point. Midnight is going to have final approval over your names. It's not my forte." Aizawa says taking out his sleeping bag
In his case... I roll my eyes. I heard about how he got his name. Present mic gave it to him back when they were both in UA.

"Hm? So you haven't decided your code name yet?" Young present mic asks
"It doesn't matter what I choose. I don't wanna be in the spotlight anyway..." young Aizawa mumbles.
"Bro! I got it! How about eraser head!?" Mic says
"Sure, whatever" Aizawa says in a bored tone

"The name you give yourself is important. It helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you wanna be in the future. A code name tells people exactly what you represent. Take 'All Might' for example." Aizawa explains
Everyone starts passing back white boards and markers. I have an idea of what I want to do. I look over to Shoto and he just writes down his name.
After a few people go, I walk to the front of the room and present my hero name.
"My hero name is 'the earth hero: Ivy'" I announce
"What a pretty name!" Midnight exclaims
I go and sit down while Shoto announced his hero name.
After a few more people, Bakugo goes up. It catches my attention.
"King Explosion Murder" he says
"I'm gonna say that one's a little too violent" midnight examines it
"Huh! Whadduya mean!!?" He shouts
"Who don't you be explosion boy?" Kirishima suggests
"You shut up weird hair!" He yells
"How about the angry Pomeranian hero: Blasty!" I laugh
"Shut the hell up L/N!!" He screams at me
"How about you shut up you angry dog!" I snap back
He keeps yelling but I just tune it out as Uraraka gets up.
Eventually Midoriya gets up and announces his hero name as Deku. Bakugo looks at him in disbelief. I can't help but chuckle under my breath. Then Bakugo gets up again
"Lord Explosion Murder!"
"That basically the same thing..." midnight says
Then the bell rings for lunch. Finally! Then Mina comes up to me.
"Y/N!!! Come sit with us!!" She shouts at me
I look over to Shoto since I know I'm not going to get out of this. He nods at me and I walk with Mina and the Bakusquad to the cafe. They go and buy lunch while I find a table. Soon enough they come to the table and I have to sit next to Bakugo.
"So Y/n?"
"Hm?" I look up from my bento box
"What exactly is your quirk?" Sero asks
"It's clearly vines you idiot!" Bakugo shouts
"Shut it blasty" I tell him and ignore the profanities coming from his mouth.
"I'm able to control vines but also stuff like wood, dirt, plants, and other stuff." I say in monotone
"Whatever dumbass" Bakugo grumbles
"That's so cool!" Mina shouts.
"Hey guys did you hear about the the American hero Elemental?" Mina asks
"Yeah! I heard she got shot multiple times saving Quicksilver!" Kaminari says
"I hope she is okay! She is so cool and manly!" Kirishima says
I don't know why but i start smiling because of the complement.
The everything becomes quiet. I look up to see everyone staring at me
"What...?" I ask quietly
"YOU SMILED OMG YOU ARE SO CUTE!!" Mina shouts
I blush and turn away. I check my phone for messages and see that Pietro and Wanda have texted me

Just then I see Mina looking at my phone.
"Awwww! Do you have a boyfriend!?" She shrieks
"W-what!? No!" I stutter in surprise
"You're blushing!!" Kaminari points out
"He isn't my boyfriend he is my best friend! It's just a nickname Mina!" I try to explain
"So your guy friends call you 'princessa'?" She grins
"He calls me that because he gave it to me when we were kids..." I look away remembering our time in Hydra together.
"H-hey Y/n... it way just a joke..." Sero explains seeing the uncomfortable look on my face
"Yeah we're sorry!" Kirishima says
"It's fine..." I say getting up so I can text Pietro and Wanda in private.
I walk into the hallway and just chill against the wall. Then I hear footsteps.
"Hey dumbass..." I hear Bakugo call to me.
"What do you want Bakugo?" I ask
"Why did you freak out over a joke? It's so useless." He asks
"I didn't freak out about the joke. I didn't freak out in the first place. And why would you care?" I glance at him.
"Don't put this on me. You came to our school and no one knows why! But all of a sudden you know Todoroki! Then you leave the sports festival not even breaking a sweat! If you think you're so high and mighty then fight me!" He shouts at me
"I don't give a shit about being at the top. I came to UA because I was recommended and I already told you why I left the sports festival. So stop being nosey and get your face out of my business." I glare at him
"I-" he falters
"If that's all you have to say to me then excuse me" I say walking away. Then I feel him pull me back.
"I didn't mean to pry about your life I just hate that you're so mysterious..." he says grunting
My eyes widen. Why am I so taken aback by this. It's so unlike him. I put my monotone face back on and say
"If I'm mysterious what are you going to do?" I tease him.
"I will figure you out dumbass" he says
"Give me your number" he tells me
"Why?" I ask
"So I can uncover your mysteries..." he replies
This boy really thinks he can find out my secrets on his own. I will give him credit for trying.
"Fine." I give him my phone number and walk to class.
