You stared at the woman with h/c hair and e/c eyes while she fed you milk from a bottle.
"Okay now you're all done!" The woman put the bottle away then smiled at you with loving eyes. You giggled and moved your hands, trying to imitate what a baby would do.
The woman then set you down on your crib and said, "Wait here, mommy will be back in a second" and went somewhere.
'It's not like I can move...'
Now that the woman who is supposed to be your mother is gone, you can stop it with the performance.
You sighed and thought about how you got yourself into this...
You went to your best friend's house. Your best friend of which, was obsessed with the Blue Lock manga and couldn't stop talking about it, to the point where she even tried to get you into it. But you didn't have much time to read it.
She even forced you to download the otome game and so you did. You were going home from her house while waiting for the game to load.
You stop at the sidewalk as the signal was still red but you didn't have to wait long as the signal soon turned green. You started walking looking at the game which was very close to finish loading.
'Maybe I should have payed more attention to my surroundings rather than to my phone...' As in a split of a second, you were hit by a truck.
Blood surrounded you, your phone was still in your hand somehow. The game had loaded and the screen said to input your name.
And then, you awakened here.
"Imouto," a young voice called out, cutting your train of thought. You saw your older brother, Jinpachi. He swept you into his arms, his sudden act caught you off guard.
"Jinpachi!" mom called, worried that he might drop you. The happy moment the two of you had was cut short as she took you away from him... For safety purposes.
Despite Jinpachi's pleading face, mom didn't budge.
While all of that happened, you lay in the crib, just taking in your situation. As the two continued their playful bickering, you couldn't help but feel unsettled. This world was both familiar and alien, a manga-inspired existence where your identity was changed to fit in its universe. You wanted answers, to understand this fictional turned non fictional world.
Eventually, the two settled on an agreement. "Alright, alright, I won't do that again," he backed down with a sigh.
With a gentle chuckle, your mother replied, "Good boy. Now, let's not tire your little sister. She's just a baby."
As they finished off their conversation, your mother and brother stepped out of the room, leaving you alone again. The silence gave you the chance to assess your situation further. How did you come here? Is there a reason that you became Jinpachi Ego's sister? And most importantly, how could you possibly find a way back?
"Y/n chan"
Jinpachi's voice cut your train of thought again, bringing you back to your now... Reality. He spoke enthusiastically of playing soccer together in the future. It was a simple child's dream, contrasting your existential dread.
"I'll do my best to grow up quickly," you mentally responded to his request, though because of your situation, that sentiment of yours felt bittersweet.
His gaze was full of love as he watched you. His excitement for soccer and his love for you as his sister gave off such a warm aura that you couldn't help but smile.
The bond you two had felt foreign to you as in your past life, you never had a sibling.
As Jinpachi continued talkingq, his voice had a soft tone that was hard to ignore. "My lovely sister," he said. His smile and laugh were infectious. You giggled in delight.
But as he leaned in, wanting to kiss your forehead, you instinctively reacted. A sudden kick met his face, surprising him. He looked surprised and... A little dissapointed.
In that moment, you realized you had done more than just react; you just committed treason. You just did the thing siblings always do... Play fight.
His brows furrowed, but the confusion quickly changed to amusement. "Oh, you've got some spirit, don't you?" he chuckled.
As you lay there, watching the boy who's now your "beloved brother", you couldn't help but wonder how these seemingly mundane moments would shape your future. With a newfound curiosity and a sense of purpose, you looked forward to the adventures that awaited you. Both in the realm of this Manga, and in the journey to uncover the truth of your existence in it.
