These are things I wanted to add, but could not as I had no idea where I would place them. Some are just what I originally wrote but then it didn't make it to the final cut. Enjoy!

00 | Bitter and Sweet

He Loves Her But Not Romantically

Jay, the energetic and lightning-powered ninja, had always been known for his witty humor and occasional clumsiness. He was part of a close-knit team of ninjas, including Zane, and Cole. But there was someone who had entered his life more recently, someone special – Y/n.

The first day the girl came she felt different than the other two members, no she was different than the other two boys, Jay couldn't place it not until Sensei Wu informed them that Y/n had joined their adventures not as a ninja but as a loyal friend - something he knew she had no clue about, her expression gave her away rather quickly (thought Cole and Zane never understood how he knew as she never once let it show).

It didn't take long for her to become an integral part of the team, participating in their quests, cracking jokes, and standing by their side through thick and thin. It wasn't long before Jay started to notice a unique bond forming between them.

One sunny afternoon, as they all gathered at the Monastery of Spinjitzu for a training session, Jay found himself watching Y/n closely. She was practicing her Spinjitzu moves, her determination shining through her every move. And that's when it hit him like a bolt of lightning – he cared about Y/n deeply, not just as a friend but as something more familial.

As he continued to observe Y/n's progress, Jay couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness wash over him. He wanted to make sure she was safe during their missions, just like he would for a younger sister. He worried about her when she took risks, and he couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to her.

During a break in their training, Jay decided to confide in Cole, his ninja brother and a trusted friend. "Hey, Cole," Jay began tentatively, "You know, I've been thinking about Y/n a lot lately," He admitted shyly.

Cole raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Oh really, Jay? And what have you been thinking?"

Jay scratched his head, searching for the right words. "Well, I think... I think I see Y/n as... like a little sister, you know? Someone I need to protect and look out for."

Cole chuckled softly, nodding in understanding. "Jay, that's a pretty cool way to feel about her. Y/n's lucky to have you watching her back."

As their conversation continued, Jay realized that his newfound feelings towards Y/n were not just about protection but also about caring, supporting, and sharing the joys and challenges of life. He felt like an older brother to her, and he cherished that role.

From that day on, Jay's bond with Y/n deepened. He would offer her advice, share his hilarious anecdotes, and, most importantly, stand beside her as they faced the adventures and dangers of Ninjago together. Whether it was lightning or laughter, Jay was always there, fulfilling his role as the protective older brother he had come to see himself as.

And so, a new kind of family formed – one bound not by blood but by bonds of friendship and kinship that were equally as strong. Jay had discovered a sisterly connection with Y/n that added a whole new layer of meaning to their adventures and made their ninja team even more united.

And even though Y/n would never admit it, Jay was the reason she had been able to feel free and somewhat like her old self and she was thankful for finding an older brother in this awkward, short-temper, and brilliant boy who she knew she could always count on no matter what.

01 | Kids Are So Petty, But It's Okay Because So Am I

Forgiving Someone Is Easy Forgetting How They Hurt You Not So Much

Restless in the quiet hours of the night, Kai tossed and turned in his sleeping quarters at the monastery. Frustration and unresolved thoughts from the day's events echoed in his mind, leaving sleep elusive. Unable to find peace indoors, Kai quietly slipped out of his room and made his way to the monastery courtyard.

Under the soft glow of moonlight, he discovered Y/n sitting alone on a stone bench, gazing at the starlit sky. The cool breeze swept through the monastery courtyard, rustling the leaves as Y/n was lost in thought. The tension from their earlier argument still lingered, but on a calm night, Kai felt a need to address the unease that had settled between them.

The tension was palpable as they locked eyes, he hesitated, unsure of what to say. Kai, nervously scratching the back of his head, finally spoke, "Hey."

Y/n nodded, acknowledging his presence but offering no words in return. The weight of their unresolved conflict lingered, casting a shadow over the tranquil setting.

"Couldn't sleep either?" Kai asked, his voice breaking the silence once more.

Y/n looked up, surprise flickering across her face. "No, not really," she admitted.

Kai hesitated before sitting beside her. "I wanted to talk. About earlier." Y/n nodded, inviting him to continue. "I know things got heated earlier, and I... I didn't handle it well. I want to apologize." Y/n's expression softened, but she remained silent, waiting for him to continue.

"I didn't mean what I said," Kai admitted, his voice sincere. "I let my frustration cloud my judgment, and I shouldn't have dismissed your experiences like that. We're a team, and I should respect what your opinion." Y/n listened, her eyes showing a mix of understanding and guarded vulnerability. Kai continued, "I value you, Y/n. I don't want our disagreement to affect our teamwork. We've been through a lot together, and I let a moment of frustration overshadow that."

A moment of silence followed as Y/n processed his words. Finally, she spoke, "Kai, words have consequences. It's important to recognize the impact they can have. I appreciate your apology, but actions speak louder than words."

Kai nodded, determined. "I will. Starting with understanding and respecting your perspective. We're a team, and I want us to work together, not against each other."

Y/n offered a small, tentative smile. "We've faced tough battles together. Let's not let a disagreement tear us apart. But remember, respect is earned through actions, not just words."

As they sat together in the monastery courtyard, the weight of the night's stillness bore witness to the beginning of Kai's journey to mend the bonds between them, seeking understanding and redemption beneath the watchful eyes of the moon and stars.

02 | Someone Should Have Stayed Behind

Y/n & The Walker Family

Y/n nervously stood at the doorstep of Jay's childhood home, flanked by the familiar blue ninja. As Jay pressed the doorbell, the anticipation hung in the air as she fidgeted, uncertain about meeting the family of her close friend and fellow ninja. Jay, sensing her apprehension, grinned and gave her an encouraging nudge.

"Relax, Y/n. My parents are awesome. They're going to love you," Jay assured her. The door swung open, revealing Jay's parents, Ed and Edna.

"Jay! And who's this lovely young lady?" Edna greeted, her eyes twinkling with warmth.

"Prepare to be showered with love and hospitality. My parents are the best!" Jay whispers to Y/n

Jay grinned, "Mom, Dad, meet Y/n. She's part of the team, and well, she's like my sister."

Ed extended a hand, "Nice to meet you, Y/n! Any friend of Jay's is family to us."

Y/n shook his hand, feeling an instant connection. Edna beckoned them inside, ushering them into a cozy living room adorned with pictures capturing Jay's mischievous grin in various stages of his life.

As they settled on the couch, Edna exclaimed, "Jay never mentioned he had such a wonderful sister! How did you two meet?"

Jay chuckled, "It's a ninja thing, Mom. We've been through thick and thin together."

Edna leaned in, her eyes twinkling with curiosity, "Oh, tell me everything! I want to know all about my son's adventures."

Y/n shared tales of battles, victories, and the camaraderie that had forged a deep bond among the ninja team. Edna hung on every word, her pride evident in the way she looked at Jay.

Ed, a bit more reserved, observed the interaction, but his eyes conveyed a silent approval. "It's good to see Jay surrounded by friends who've become family."

As the evening unfolded, Edna insisted on serving a home-cooked meal, declaring, "A family dinner for our extended family!"

Around the dinner table, Y/n felt a sense of belonging as Edna and Ed shared stories of Jay's childhood antics. Laughter echoed through the room, and Y/n couldn't help but smile at the genuine affection that enveloped the family.

After dinner, as they gathered in the living room, Edna spoke, "Y/n, dear, you're welcome here anytime. You've brought joy and laughter into our home, just like Jay does. Jay, you've brought home a gem!"

Jay grinned, "See, Y/n? I told you they'd love you."

Y/n felt a warmth in her heart, grateful for the acceptance and love she found in Jay's parents. As the evening came to an end, Edna pulled Y/n into a tight embrace, "You take care, sweetheart. You're always welcome here."

With a genuine sense of family, Y/n left Jay's childhood home, knowing she had gained not just a friend but a second family in Ed and Edna. The bonds of friendship and kinship intertwined, creating a tapestry of love that transcended the adventures of being a ninja.

Months later Jay and Y/n went back to visit Ed and Edna — as Y/n would not let him alone until he brought her back. The door swung open, revealing Edna with her warm and welcoming smile.

"Jay! Y/n! Come on in, darlings!" Edna greeted them, enveloping them in a tight hug. The living room echoed with laughter as Edna chatted animatedly, making Y/n feel instantly at home. Ed emerged from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a dish towel.

"Jay! Y/n! Good to see you both. Ready for a feast?" Y/n nodded, appreciating the familial atmosphere. As they sat down to a home-cooked meal, Edna couldn't resist complimenting Y/n's ninja skills and Jay's latest exploits.

Throughout the visit, Edna's laughter echoed in the house as she shared stories and memories. She insisted on giving Y/n the comfiest chair and made sure everyone had their favorite snacks.

As Y/n recounted tales of ninja adventures, Edna couldn't help but interject with exclamations of pride for Jay and affectionate remarks for Y/n.

"You kids are incredible. I've been telling Ed about all your adventures," Edna exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with pride.

After a delightful dinner, Edna turned to Y/n, "Dear, you're like the daughter we never knew we needed! Jay, don't you think Y/n is just wonderful?"

Jay grinned, "Told you she'd be your favorite, Mom."

Edna chuckled, "Favorite? Oh, she's more than that. Y/n, you're officially our adopted ninja child!"

Ed joined in, "That's right! We're adopting you into the family, whether you like it or not."

Y/n couldn't help but laugh, feeling a genuine warmth in her heart. "I'd be honored to be part of your family, Ed and Edna."

From that moment, the dynamic shifted, and Y/n found herself embraced by the love and care of Jay's parents. Edna insisted on giving her a tour of Jay's childhood room, sharing embarrassing stories that had them all in stitches.

As the evening drew to a close, Edna hugged Y/n tightly. "You're welcome here anytime, sweetheart. You're family now."

Ed added, "We might have to start planning family game nights. What do you think, Y/n?"

Y/n smiled, feeling grateful for the newfound warmth and acceptance. "I'd love that, Ed. Thanks for making me feel like part of the family."

As Y/n and Jay left, the house glowed with the joy of laughter and newfound bonds. Ed and Edna's home had become a place where love and acceptance knew no bounds, and Y/n felt fortunate to have found a second family in them.

03 | Snakes Are Vampires Now

The Charade Incident

There you sat bored in your bed, you had finished training and honestly, there was nothing good anywhere not on AO3, not on Instagram, not on Netflix, At times you wish that you could just have...

"Y/n! Let's play charade the others are in, so come on," Jay appears out of nowhere as if he were the devil.

"How do you do it?" You wonder way too used to him appearing out of nowhere.

"Do what?"

"Never mind, what is this about charades?" You wonder.

"Oh we are all way too bored and there is nothing to do, and before you ask Sensei had banned TV he disconnected the cable signal and cut the internet so we are living like our ancestors a few decades ago," Jay explained as he sat down next to you.

"Couldn't you do something about that y'know with your brilliance,"

"Nah, Sensei contacted Mom and Dad had them forbid me from using my 'brilliance' to find a way out of this punishment," He acknowledged.

"Ah, well he cannot do that to me or Nya or Kai or..."

"Because you guys do not have parents,"

"Yeah what is he gonna do send a letter to the Underworld? Or like go to their graves and talk to them? Besides what are they gonna do, leave me behind? Go and get themselves killed?" You joked as Jay simply laughed - after about six months of being your friend he got used to your twisted sense of humor, or what he thought was twisted.

"Okay, jokes apart are you gonna play charades?"

"Sure, you gonna team up with Nya?" You ask, Jay lay there in your bed for a minute or two before pushing you off your bed. "Ouch, what's with you pushing me off the bed? And why the fuck did you do that?"

"For someone from such an influential and powerful family you sure have a pouty mouth; what would your parents think?" He asks completely ignoring you as he stands up from your bed and walks past you. "And no, Kai decided to team up with Nya, something about showing us 'only children' how the Smith siblings do it," He replied as you stood up slightly glaring at him.

"So you want to show that hothead how we L/n-Walker Siblings do it?" You ask, yet you know the answer already, you waited for a second or two for acknowledgment from your brother yet there was none. His back was turned to you and you had no idea what he was thinking, slowly you approached him not knowing if you had done or said something that had upset him.

"Y/n you said it!" Jay uttered barely above a whisper that if you hadn't been paying attention you would have not heard it.

"What?"

"You said that we are the L/n-Walker Sibling," He shouts excitement displaying on his features.

"First and last time now come on,"

↫↭↬

(Third Person P.O.V.)

The teams have been decided quickly without much of a fight breaking out. Each team got to pick a name; Nya and Kai decided on Team Fire - after a game of rock, paper, scissors - Zane and Cole quickly decided on Glaceon both boys having a short but intense obsession with Pokémon.

As the game began, Nya eagerly mimicked a ninja's fighting stance, and Kai guessed it in an instant. Cheers erupted from Team Fire, and they earned their first point. Zane and Cole followed suit with a perfectly synchronized robot dance, scoring a point for Team Glaceon.

It was now Jay and Y/n's turn. Jay, the master of lightning, started to act out the movements of a bird soaring through the sky. Y/n watched him intently, guessing, "Eagle!" Jay nodded enthusiastically, and their team was in the lead.

However, the competition grew fierce as Jay and Y/n continued to dominate the game, correctly guessing every charade with an almost telepathic connection. The other ninjas couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated. Kai, known for his fiery temper, was particularly irked by their losing streak.

Kai leaned over to Nya and whispered, "I've got an idea," With a mischievous grin, Kai secretly summoned his elemental powers. As Y/n and Jay acted out the next charade, the couch they were sitting on suddenly burst into flames. Everyone gasped in shock, and the room filled with smoke.

"Fire! Fire!" Y/n shouted in alarm. Zane, thinking on his feet, used his Ice Spinjitzu to extinguish the flames, saving the day. The room was left slightly damp but safe. Once the commotion settled, they all turned to Kai, who was trying to hide his guilty expression.

"Kai, what did you do?" Nya scolded.

Kai sheepishly admitted, "I got a little carried away. I thought it might distract them."

Though his plan to disrupt Jay and Y/n's winning streak had failed spectacularly, everyone couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

04 | No Wonder He's Alone

Lloyd's Room

There are only four bedrooms in the Destiny Bounty, and all of them have an occupant. It was not a problem until a new person came aboard the Destiny Bounty, that being Lloyd. The Ninja were brainstorming ideas on how to accommodate everyone comfortably, as the boys did not want to share a room with and I quote "delinquent pranksters who may just kill us in our sleep," and he could not share a room with the girls because... honestly he did not know why.

"Lloyd can simply sleep in my bed, I will sleep on the floor," Wu had commented yet his students disagreed.

"Sensei I don't mean to sound rude or anything but you are kind of old, you should not be sleeping on the floor," Jay said as Y/n slapped the back of his head, but she did agree.

After a couple of minutes, Y/n spoke up, "I have an idea, guys. What if we turn one of the unused closets into a room for Lloyd?" Everyone turned to look at Y/n, intrigued by the suggestion.

Lloyd, with his signature green attire and cheerful demeanor, smiled. "That could work! I'm all for it if you don't mind, Y/n,"

With the decision made, they set to work immediately. The unused closet was small, but with a little creativity and teamwork, it could be transformed into a cozy space for Lloyd.

It took a couple of hours but before long Y/n was able to convince the boys to help her fix the closet. Y/n used Spinjitzu to clean up the closet, while Cole and Jay helped measure and plan the layout. Zane used his technological expertise to set up the lighting and temperature control.

Y/n took charge of the interior design. She had gathered colorful posters, cushions, and even a tiny bonsai tree to give the space a homely touch. In a matter of hours, the once-cramped closet had become a vibrant and inviting room fit for Lloyd.

When Lloyd stepped inside for the first time, his eyes lit up with joy. "This is amazing, guys! Thank you, Y/n, for making this happen,"

Y/n grinned, feeling proud of her contribution. "You're welcome, Lloyd,"

With the new room settled, Lloyd had a comfortable place to call his own, and the Destiny's Bounty felt even more like a home for all the Ninja.

05 | Everyone Makes Mistakes... Well Expect Me

Originally I was going to add more interactions between Jenise, Caspian, and Y/n (the same with Tessa and Y/n) but I had no place to add it that would make sense. But here is the interaction I wrote.

Jenise and Caspian before Y/n walk in:

"Caspian what should we do?" Jenise wondered as she glanced at her husband who kept on munching on some mochi.

"Jen I think we should let her save Ninjago, it's not as if she going to die. Besides, you were the one who said that we should send her with Wu to learn and control her powers—"

"I know but she cannot be acting like a commoner she's—"

"Yes I know who she is, but she's also a teen she's going to want to rebel and be free, don't you remember how Delkii was?"

"And that's why I am scared, Y/n reminds me so much of Delkii and Mom and we both know where they are now," Jenise spoke, and even though Caspian didn't want to admit he didn't want his nice to end up like his sister and mother-in-law six feet under.

Tessa + Y/n interaction:

"Hey kid," Tessa smiles as you dismiss the maids who bowed before leaving. "It's been a while hasn't it?"

"More than half a year right?" you wonder as you smile at her.

"Feels like forever..." she admitted smiling softly, you examine her face her caramel brown eyes didn't shine bright anymore, and her eye bags were more noticeable than before. How many nights had she gone without sleep? "But is there any news about—"

"None and the High Council doesn't want to help. They said that if my brothers were alive they would have come back..." you spoke as you played with your hair.

"I hate them..." she mutters her eyes holding anger and sadness you had never witnessed before.

"You aren't the only one, but what can we do? They are gaining more power as we lose ours," you comment as Tessa walks closer to you.

"We just need to wait and hope that Akito and Atsuki will come back." She adds as she grabs a comb and mist spray bottle. "They are strong I know that they're alive, Hut and Ash are trying their best to find them, but each time they come back empty-handed I..."

"You feel like you're losing hope? I get that every day that I wake up and see myself in the mirror I am reminded of them. I mean I went as fast as changing my hair just to not be reminded of them." you admit, as you examine yourself in the mirror.

"I like this color in you, it complements you," she spoke as she began braiding your hair. "And I get it every time I see you I can't help but be reminded of Aki, and Y/n I miss him so much I feel like as every day that passes I forget him, his eye color, his laugh, his smile... I don't know how much longer I can hold on..."

You didn't know what to say, you understood her as the day passed you were forgetting your parents and slowly Ed and Edna came to mind whenever you thought of your parents. You were not trying to replace them but you couldn't help yourself.

09 | Lou's Amazing Even Though He's Worse Than Sensei

Hope

Lloyd groaned as he took yet another painful step forward. He'd taken 16,546 steps just like this one since yesterday, he was starting to lose feeling in his legs.

16,547

By now he was beyond exhausted and had to remind himself how to complete simple human functions such as walking and even breathing.

16,548

Like he had lost feeling in his legs, he was starting to lose hope in the Ninja, well rather on Y/n, the only one who liked him. The rational part of him had already done so.

How long did it take for someone to complete a rescue? He wonders. Definitely not this long, he concludes besides it's not like it's the first time someone had left him behind. His father and mother were the first to do so, and then his Uncle, then his so-called "friends", it was only a matter of time before Y/n did the same.

16,549

The emotional, childish, and naive part of him was the only reason he kept going. That part gave him hope. So he kept going, no matter how much it hurt, no matter how much he wanted to drop dead.

16,550

Hope kept him going, hope that Y/n would find him, hope that she was getting closer and closer to finding him as each hour passed.

16,550

He supposed it would be a nice distraction, imagining how Y/n would save him. Maybe she would break the walls, maybe she would use her vine to open the ground and bury those snakes, maybe she would sneak in and attack them, or maybe-

Lloyd stopped in his tracks when he bumped into a Serpentine that had stopped walking abruptly.

What's going on? Why did they stop?

To say that he was confused was an understatement. He held his breath as two large Serpentine approached them, resisting the urge to try and run away. He'd learned that lesson the first time, no need to be reminded.

So one may understand why it was hard for him to even comprehend what was happening when said Serpentine pushed him to the front and released him from his chains.

"Wha— You're letting me go?" okay now he was more than confused.

Pythor tsk shaking his head, and the hope that Lloyd had gained quickly vanished.

"Only to fetch, dear boy." the Anacondra led him to a cliff, only a silver of solid ground to step on.

Great I will die before I see Y/n again. Lloyd sighed as he looked up to Pythor pleadingly.

"Do step lightly."

Of course, Lloyd sighed once again, the risk is better than whatever punishment Pythor may have in mind if I do not comply.

He sidestepped across the ledge, heeding Pythor's words to step lightly. Apparently, he wasn't stepping lightly enough as some stones beneath him collapsed into the seemingly bottomless pit beneath him. He gasped, barely managing to grasp onto the ground and pull himself back up in a panic.

He scattered himself to the other side, the boulders and stones beneath him falling one by one. He put a hand over his chest, trying to slow it down as he used his other hand to pull his hood down. By some miracle he had survived, he looked over to Pythor for assurance but was met up with a cold, self-interested gaze.

How he missed Y/n right now.

"Bring me the Fangblade, and I'll let you go."

It wasn't the first time Pythor had promised him each time he betrayed Lloyd's trust, but he allowed himself to be hopeful. Maybe this time he would stay true to his word and set him free. Maybe tonight he would find himself eating some sweets with Y/n, talking about their favorite superhero.

Did he have high expectations? Yes, but hope is all he has left.

He took a deep breath and carefully took another step forward. The poor boy had no idea the entire ground beneath him would collapse yet again. By now he'd set off a chain reaction and all he could do was run for his life. Even when the ground remained idle the misery didn't stop.

The ceiling began closing in on him pointed spikes threatening to pierce through his body. He fell over in shock and crawled away the best he could, he squeezed his eyes shut hoping that he was still alive. He opened them cautiously and was slightly shocked and even more grateful to see he was still alive.

He let out a noise somewhere between a gasp and a pant before scrambling onto his feet. He ran straight ahead, eyes shut, trying his hardest to dodge whatever was causing the rapid swishing sounds next to him.

When the swishing sound stopped and finally had a chance to catch his breath, he turned around to look at what was causing the sound. Poison arrows.

Of course what else could it?

They were scattered all along the floor he'd been running on just a second ago.

"That was lucky." He wheezed, oddly unfazed by the situation. Compared to what he will suffer later on this is truly nothing.

Even more fortunately for him, there was a staff in the middle of his way, marking the perfect spot to rest on. Not so, fortunately, the staff was apparently the only thing holding the ceiling together. The whole room collapsed as soon as he laid his back on said staff before the boy even had a chance to comprehend what was going on.

He tumbled around with the boulders, miraculously making it to the other side mostly unscathed. He dusted himself off and sighed at the cuts and tears in his hoodie, there goes his only piece of clothing. Clearing his throat, Lloyd stood up and made his way toward the podium where he assumed the fang blade would be.

He walked toward it with a jump in his step. His freedom was so close he could taste it! He would be in the Bounty in just a couple of hours and he couldn't wait to have a proper bed, proper meals, and proper clothing once again. And of course, he couldn't wait to see Y/n again, couldn't wait to tell her how strong and brave he has been maybe she would make him some snakes.

He'd be running if he weren't so sore. When he made it to the top of the pedestal, he nearly fell to the ground, utterly baffled to find nothing.

It was empty.

It was gone.

He blinked twice and rubbed his eyes viciously to see if perhaps he was hallucinating. He wasn't.

Someone or something has it out for me, don't they?

He mustered up the tiny bit of courage left in him before shouting the news to the serpentine.

"It's gone!" He shouted, voice echoing across the room.

There was a long pause before he heard Pythor's frustrated screech.

"Do I still get to go?" He asked meekly, already knowing the answer.

"No!" Lloyd sighed and fell down gently on the steps. How he wanted to cry, but he wouldn't allow himself to, not at the moment anyway. He just needs to stay strong and wait for Y/n.
